Iron Man 3 (2013)
There’ll be no more darkness when you believe In yourself, you’re unstoppable, Where your destiny lies, Dancing on your blades you set my heart on fire.
So I was thinking a few days ago that I haven’t yet seen anyone do this au and I personally, was very offended by that fact so I took it upon myself to draw some for it basically all of Tuesday. @xenavitani and I are going to be doing a lot more art for this au as well as many other au’s that are to come.
I made everything gay bc I can. Zarkon is Georgi btw. :3

Okay, just to add a funny reference, the black rose of the telenovela and the dialogue line before it, are a references to a show in Mexico.
In Spanish it says: Debe ser un milagro! Ay y está rosa?
Which is an iconic line from La Rosa de Guadalupe. Which is its own thing by itself.
(Pilot) Episode 1: "The Dreadful Dawn"
No dumbassery. He's with a client, the only thing I can think of as mildly funny is how he came out of the shadow at the end as if he's riding around on a roomba. Sliding into the frame with his "I don't look like that!" default expression.
Episode 2: "Boo!-Lldozing!"
He makes an offer to a bunch of ghost kids with a short puppet show and keeps the hero puppet afterwards just so he can rip its head off.
While ordering Flug to go destroy the brute, he destroys the team transport. So he just throws in "and fix the ship." before the three scurry off.
"Who the blazes are you?" (this post was made when the official dub was not yet out, the translation used is from fan subtitles)
Ep. 3: "The VVV"
This whole episode is just him being extra and over the top. Here's some highlights.
He uses a metal claw to put his top hat over his bowler hat.
He unleashes a choir of ghosts at the stroke of midnight, declaring that the client arrived just in time.
He creates a wrestling ring on top of an alread existing wrestling ring and addreses the wrestler by making a huge projector so everyone can see him. Just so he can say "I'm here to enjoy the show" when challenged to a fight.
He tears off a HatBot's head when asking if the wrestler expected the honour of Black Hat crushing him himself. He pours a drink from the robot's head into a wine glass while he speaks.
He personally comes down into the wrestling ring, all sinister, just to order Demencia to take off the mask.
He brings the Narrator to be our temporary announcer and at the end uses his shadows to drag the guy into the darkness right after Narrator says "And that's why I love my job!"
At the end of the episode he transports the team, mask and himself to the middle of a desert, just so he can shapeshift and ride off into the night as El Charro Negro.
Ep. 4: "Secret Sattelites!"
His reaction when he senses Demencia gushing at him from space.
This guy watches a show aimed at young kids and a telenovela just so he can mess with the plot.
He leaves the love interest of the telenovela a black rose after fullfilling her wish of being together with both of her lovers. (image not included for the sake of squeamish folks)
He accepts Flug's short term suffering as payment due to his client not having a soul. His lack of knowledge about all the things a computer virus can do probably plays in here, so eh, 10% boredom, 20% dumbass, 70% evil
Ep. 5: "The Muscular Evilventure of MBH"
He goes to a pet store looking like that to grab his lunch.
He somehow manages to phase his claw through the tablet.
Ep. 6: "The Heedeous Heart"
A younger client presses a button without permission. He pinches the fin of his client and drags him away, keeping him in place like this for the duration of his stay in the office.
There were many, many other golden moments, but I'd say most of those were simply entertaining due to him creating evil for the sake of evil and enjoying himself by spreading misery.
With that said, OUR ELDRITCH EXTRA DRAMATIC DUMBASS EVERYONE!
Good to have him back. 🎩✨
i think another big thing that makes Trollhunters’ ending have such an impact…. is that they weren’t afraid to show the naked hate in Jim. he hates Gunmar. Gunmar is essentially the biggest reason his life is like it is. Jim is barely over sixteen and he’s been at war for months now, against this troll and his army, who’s efforts to conquer the earth have driven fate to choose Jim of all people to stop the apocalypse. some normal kid that never asked for any of this, but took the mantle when called upon anyways.
and he’s paid dearly for it every step of the way.
Jim’s life has been completely ruined by Morgana through Gunmar, and by this point he’s embracing the anger and hatred that inspires in him. his act of killing Gunmar isn’t just the hero’s duty, but a vindictive revenge for every ounce of pain and trauma that troll inflicted on him, and for every other life Gunmar ruined alongside Jim’s.
i honestly have a difficult time recalling any shows geared towards younger/general audiences that have given us visible and canon evidence of feelings like that. what a phenomenal performance on the animators and writers’ part.
