i’m surprised i haven’t seen more people consider javi being the one who knows the hardings.

javi has the most knowledge of (and respect for) the dorothy tech out of the twisters cast; hell, he even names the stormPAR units after wizard of oz characters. and he has the most interest in carrying on the hardings’ work of demystifying tornadoes. the fact that he even got his hands on dorothy makes it possible that he’s at least acquainted with the hardings.

like. consider bright-eyed college kid javi going out to the harding residence, nervous because these two are really protective of dorothy and he needs to impress them. only to find that their idea of a test of character is a stormchase in a truck that smells like armpit and a round of porch beers. and then the hardings are ride-or-die for this random kid from miami forever. they probably celebrated when javi called em to say he broke ties with riggs, because they were worried javi was selling his soul after his friends were killed. i need it okay.

something about noel seeing so much beauty and romance in the darkest parts of life. him finding excitement in things others would find disgusting or frightening. him loving, reaching for a life that would allow him to let go and live as much as possible, do as many things as he could, no matter how gross or undesirable or painful. him being at the exact age, in the exact place where that couldn’t happen. him dying right before he got the chance to live out even a part of that dream. he really is tragic.
