I legitimately do not know what is going to happen to me in the future. All I want is to be a firefighter, but two days into emt school and I'm already having a flare up. We went to visit the fire station today, and I nearly passed out just from standing still. I was always such an athletic child, and everyone expected that I would kick ass in this field, yet here I am, struggling to stand. I already knew that I would have a very short, painful career, but now I don't know if I can do it at all.

And so I grew from colt to stallion, as wild and as reckless as thunder over the land. Racing with the eagle, soaring with the wind. Flying? There were times I believed I could.

I for one think the symbiotic relationship between Tumblr and AO3 is beautiful

anyone else prefer whump without a whumper?? just me??

i mean like. there’s a whumpee and a caretaker + the rest of the team (if there is one). but no whumper

like. instead of the whump coming from a whumper, it comes from natural causes instead. so like sickness, weather (think whump involving hypothermia, heat exhaustion, getting sick from the rain, etc), events (like getting injured from let’s say a building collapse or breaking a bone or something like that)

THAT’S the kind of whump that really gets me going. no torture tropes, nothing like that. idk i just feel very much alone on this one, so i think it’d be neat if there were others out there who feel this way too
