Don’t let the fear of not-writing something transcendent stop you from just writing.

he loves wearing jewelry; necklaces and rings are a must. he prefers chunky (thick) silver over dainty pieces

enjoys photography- he even has his own camera

loves surprising you on dates. on your 6th month anniversary, he got you a charm bracelet. there were already a few there, but there was plenty of room for more to be added. everytime you’d go a special date, he would add a charm for to remember it

furthermore, he takes a picture before each outing and saves them to a folder in his phone. once he’s reached a couple year’s worth of photos, he prints them out and puts them into a journal, writing down small details of what happened on each date 🥲 i am love starved

kiyoomi gives red roses on the first date. he’s standing in-front of your door, bouquet in his hand. he cannot help but ask himself: is this too much? he looks down at the roses, they’re loud and bright against his pale hand - red like the sunset, red like apples and raspberries. what if you think he’s moving too fast? roses on the first date? perhaps he should not have listened to his sister. his thoughts come to a halt, when the door opens and you are standing there, smiling - looking at the flowers. kiyoomi, are those for me? you ask. he nods his head, and your eyes twinkle. they’re beautiful, thank you! he passes them to you, ears tinted red. 

(he had nothing to worry about.)

kiyoomi gives orange tulips when returning from an away game. he enters the apartment, careful not to crush the flowers - orange like the leaves in autumn, orange like fire cackling - as he takes his shoe off at the entrance. he takes his face-mask off, entering the living room, and the sunset blankets the room in golden orange. kiyoomi, is that you? you call out. he hears the bedroom door slide open, and your footsteps against the floor. you smile wide, walking towards him and say, welcome home. the orange flowers fall into your embrace, as you hold them with all the love and care. it’s good to be back, he says, pressing his lips on yours. 

(home is not just a place, it is also a person.)

kiyoomi gives white lilies after an argument. he is currently at the public park, and can see you sitting on the white wooden bench, alone. it has been a few hours since he last spoke to you. you left the apartment - eyes angry, lips scowling. he knew he would find you here, and truthfully, he does not want to sleep on an argument - he loves you too much. your facing forward, he places his hand on your shoulder, and you jump at the sudden contact. i’m sorry, he says, gently. he places down the white lilies next to you - white like the glimmering snow, white like the moon wolves howl at. you do not reply, nor do you turn to look at him. but you do pick the flowers up - plastic wrap crinkling -  holding them close to your chest.

(relationships are not always perfect. and that is okay, because from here, you will both learn and grow.)

you give purple orchids on his birthday. kiyoomi is not one for celebrations, he does not like crowded spaces - preferring to stay within the comfort of these four walls. celebrations are small and intimate, and you do not mind, as spending time with him - if it is with a group of people, or just the two of you alone - is what matters the most. you gift him the purple flowers - purple like the wings of a butterfly, purple like the sky at dusk. happy birthday, kiyoomi, you say. he smiles, softly. thank you. the cylinder vase is small in his hands, as he smells the orchids. you know, the purple really brings out the colour of your eyes. he looks at you, amused. really? you grin. yeah.

(he is a year older and wiser. but no matter what happens, he will always be your kiyoomi.)
