In life, not everyone gets to have a second chance. So when you still have the chance in your hands, please hold onto it dearly. Do not let it slip away. Cherish it like it will be the last time, and make the best out of it.

Don't like tombow but will give Pentel a try❤️

Beginners

Beginners

Beginners should use firmer pens, because they’re easier to control and are less likely to be ruined. Those who have just started practicing are more likely to destroy the soft tips of brush pens because they aren’t as skilled at pressure control. Expensive markers should be avoided for this reason.

I recommend the Pentel Fude Touch, which has a fine tip that’s easy to use and hasn’t frayed on me yet!

If you want a thicker tip, I’d recommend the Artline Stix. These are fairly inexpensive and very firm.

Intermediate

Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, you can upgrade to higher quality supplies!

The Pentel Fude Touch is definitely my favorite fine tipped brush pen! The tip is just the right level of firmness, and it comes in the widest color range I’ve seen for fine tipped brush pens. I recommend this for everyone, from beginner to advanced.

The Kuretake Fudebiyori is a budget friendly option, while still providing great quality! They’re also on the firm side, to help transition from firm to flexible. Of course, some prefer the feeling of firm pens so feel free to stick with them!

Advanced

I still recommend the Pentel Fude Touch. As I mentioned earlier, these are my favorites for all levels of experience!

The Ecoline brush markers are made with watercolors and are incredibly juicy and flexible. The downside is that this causes a lot of bleedthrough, and these markers are fairly expensive.

You’ve probably heard a lot about the Tombow Dual brush markers. They’re double ended, with one brush tip and one bullet tip. The brush tip is smooth and flexible, and there are 95 different colors!

Honesty and truthfulness are not the same thing. Being honest means not telling lies. Being truthful means actively making known the full truth of a matter.
