So, I’ve been spending a little extra time on the farm on weekends these last couple of months, with a few of the farmhands helping me learn how to get my hands dirty.

So far it’s been a slow process (there are more skills that go into being good at milking than you could possibly imagine, and it takes longer than I’d realized to develop and stretch all the muscles you need before you can even start learning the more advanced milking techniques) but when I met with Julie last weekend she gave me the go ahead to try a horse for the first time.

And here’s me, trying a horse for the first time – and I think I won’t try that again until I’ve got some more training under my belt
