Monsters in the Dark #13
—kissing, biblical references, dark themes, mentions of Billy being an orphan, fem!reader—

“Tell me you love me,” murmured Billy, knees on either side of your hips, pinning you to the bed, lips brushing yours. He needed it, and hated that he did. That he was still that orphan, looking for affection.
“I love you, Billy.” You whispered. And God, you did. So much that it consumed you, made you ache for him every minute you were apart.
“Yeah?” He hummed, fingers pinned your wrists down, as his nose brushed your neck.
“Love you like David loved Jonathan in the Bible. I love you as my own soul.” You told him, earnestly.
Billy’s treacherous heart ached. He kissed you hard, tongue slid against yours. You moaned sweetly, and arched. Your wrists burned at the force of which he held you down.
“I love you too, baby.” He admitted breathlessly, and felt his heart race at the admission, even though he’d said it before. He loved you with a terrible fierceness that had him rendered asunder. Attachments were a weakness, and he’d unwittingly created his own. He hadn’t been entirely prepared in sharing a relationship with you. Your sweet acquiescence was his undoing.
But he couldn’t bring himself to regret it, especially with the smile you gave him, that was brighter than the sun.
Hi! This is regarding your post asking which of your fics is my favorite. It was a recent one... Butterfly(?). Billy wants to clip your wings so you stay with him forever. I commented that it'd be a cool twist if you end up clipping his instead. Lol
Hi, Kim! 💜
Oooh, yeah. Blood and Butterflies. I actually stepped out of my comfort zone with that one, and ended up really liking it. I’d really like to continue it, along with a bunch of other WIPs, lol.

You were pressed against Billy on his bed, giggling. “I think all nursery rhymes have the same tune.” You said, humming to yourself as if to test your own theory out.
It was out of the blue, but Billy thought it was cute.
His lips twitched, “Yeah?” He asked, playing with your hair.
“I used to drive my mom crazy singing Little Bunny Foo Foo growing up.” Your fingers were drawn to his hip where his scar was. Always drawn there.
Your thumb rubbed back and forth, liking the feeling of the scar tissue. You haphazardly scooted down, pressing your lips to the scar, tongue tracing it.
Billy’s fingers tightened in your hair, pulling you up, and pressed his mouth firmly to yours.
You made him want you.

Sometimes Billy wondered why he must be attached. It only led to heartache, to pain, to eventual abandonment.
He wondered why he couldn't cut you out. But you’d been so hated by your father, Billy couldn’t hurt you like that again.
Besides, you had nowhere to go.
At least, that’s what he told himself.
But as you laid there chattering sweetly about this and that, he knew he was fighting a losing battle.
He had already lost.
He was hopelessly attached to you.
He was yours and there was nothing he could do about it.
x
It was around two in the morning when you finally fell asleep, fingers still touching his scar, as though that grounded you.
You’d both obviously had difficult childhoods. You’d had a father who had never wanted you, and made sure you knew it every day, so you’d turned inward; discovering books and reading quietly for hours.
A father that hated you so much, he’d tried to kill you.
There was something to be said about having been hated by a parent, verses being abandoned by one like Billy.
He pressed his lips to yours.
It was in the darkness of his room that he allowed himself to love you for the first time.

Every time I sleep the future plays out before me. I know the ending... it will end over and over until I cease to dream.
My condolences for your loss. That must be a truly difficult time now. Wishing you all the support there could be and if there's anything I can do from far away, ask.
Thank you, my friend. I’m struggling. I’ll never hear her voice again, never hear her laugh, or have a good conversation with her, and it makes my heart hurt terribly.
“She thought to herself, "This is now." She was glad that the cozy house, and Pa and Ma and the firelight and the music, were now. They could not be forgotten, she thought, because now is now. It can never be a long time ago.”

And it’s an old scar, trying to bleach it out,
And it’s my whole heart,
Deemed and delivered a crime—
It’s nearly been two years that I’ve been working on this. It’s the one piece that I wrote that I actually like, and to find that some people have come back and read it again is stunning. Thank you for everyone who has supported me. Maybe someday I will come back to writing. I want to, but I’m really burnt out. I’ve been writing constantly with an update a day since 2021. So right now, I’m just relaxing.

It’s a strange juxtaposition between the cold blooded killer, and the sweet girl who sought refuge in him.
