The service life of a littoral ship was suppose to be 25 years. The USS Freedom (LCS 1) had the longest career with 12 years. The USS Independence (LCS 2) had an 11 year career and the USS Coronado (LCS 4) an 8 year career. What a waste.

☘ Happy 'Heavenly' Birthday to Maureen O'Hara who was born on this date; August 17th, 1920 in the Dublin suburb of Ranelagh, Ireland. Will always be one of my honors to have met her when she was the Grand Marshal of NYC's St. Patrick's Day Parade in 1999🥃🎂.
