My Brain Can’t Stop Thinking Of AUs Lol (Pt. 1)

Working on Percy’s suit. I don’t think I’ll be making a suit for pre HoO Percy just because he’s only gonna be using it for like two parts.

I wanted to incorporate celestial bronze and almost incorporated Greco-Armor too but I decided against it, atleast for Percy’s design.

He does have a celestial bronze sort of shoulder set though.

I dunno I’m really excited to write the HoO section (drawing the costumes is gonna be my least favorite part) because I do want to draw some art for this series one day.

Idk I’m just so excited to write Percy, Annabeth, and Jason’s perspective during the HoO mainly TLO-MOA, especially because a lot of the plot is going to be different, SoN and HoH are the only two plots that are going to be relatively the same.

Can’t wait to share this with you guys.

At first I wasn't going to involve any Mycenaean or Minoan related things in my kinda sorta superhero demigod au but I'm actually reconsidering.

I'm currently writing this scene were Percy ends up going on a mission but he sort of loses his shit after injecting something and I think I want the trigger to be because he has such origins.

So I started doing a little research and found out that there was (supposedly? idk how true it is) was a Minoan god known as Potidas who was essentially ruled over everything and like natural things, so he ruled over the earth, the sky, storms, etc.

And so I also found out that Poseidon (atleast maybe his name?) actually came from this god.

And of course you may or may not know about Mycenaean Poseidon who was a chthonic deity.

So I plan on having Percy be of such descent probably.

But I don't want to do this with just Percy. I want to do this with other demigods too, especially ones like Zeus who was associated with a Minoan God known as Velchanos and was associated with like vegetation but I don't know if I should do this with preexisting characters or make some new ones up to do it.

So I decided im just gonna, make a poll lol and the first one is gonna be for Zeus's kids. Jason isn't going to be on this list because he's Jupiter's kid and I want to have the distinction in this be pretty clear.

Considering what Hera did to Dionysus i wouldn't be surprised if he still was angry for what she did to him. Understandably so, since (in Orphic religion) Dionysus was the heir of Zeus and Hera fearing his ingrowing power conspired with the Titans to slay the boy. He was reincarnated as Semele's son but was almost lost again to Hera's jealousy. That's why Dionysus is also referred to as the god or death and rebirth.

Thinking about my kinda sorta super hero pjo au (they’re still demigods, society just set them up as super heroes in a way to sorta keep them in their control) because I’m probably gonna have to make ocs for it. I’m not really a fan of ocs in Percy Jackson works from what I’ve seen (i think it’s my Percy bias talking) but I feel like there’s a lot of things I can do with ocs and explore different things.

One of my main ideas I want to play with is demigods with the name Perseus. Because 1. Names are powerful 2. Why not.

More specifically this idea with a child of hades. Idk what his nickname would be because I wouldn’t want to use Perseus (more Perceval lmao?) but it’s just an idea I want to play with.

Anyways that’s it lol

Currently writing Percy and Jason's only scene pre-HoO part (which is coming real soon, maybe one or two parts until it kicks off)

And I'm not the best at first scenes but I think I did pretty well. I decided I mainly wanted Jason to be a hand to hand fighter, mainly like a MMA fighter. He's like a wrestler, boxer, and possibly a whole lot of other fighting styles mixed into one. Like he's decent with a sword or spear and whatnot, but hand to hand is where he really excels.

Meanwhile, Percy isn't all that great with hand to hand. Like he can throw some punches but his hand to hand combat experience are street fights, Percy fights dirty, especially if he has to fight without his sword. But Percy's most skilled with the sword.

And I can't wait to write how this'll effect their different encounters with different enemies in HoO in my AU.

Kinda random BUT

I think before I write any AUs I wanna try and write sort of a canon compliant AU or atleast a post HoO fic.

It would probably be Percy centric and I have no idea what it would be about tbh.

Maybe it would be a quest, focusing on his character without Annabeth or Grover there, maybe have some other demigods accompanying him?

Not sure lol. I know in my fics I do want to go into depth and tweak the characterization of some gods (esp gods like Ares, Zeus, even Poseidon maybe).

I feel like a quest would be more interesting though, I feel like I’d have fun making my own prophecy and stuff.

As for the danger level of the quest I kinda realize I’d probably have to make it pretty dangerous. I’d want to involve the primordials not gonna lie. Like they’re alive but not causing problems.

It probably would be sort of traumatic but not as traumatic I think. I don’t think there’s worse I can do than Tartarus but I do have an idea of a sort of æther realm based off of the idea of a 5th element.

Id also want to try my hand at exploring different versions of gods one biggest example being Mycenaean Poseidon, Demeter etc. Maybe a bit of Orphic things too.

If I did have Percy go on the quest I think i like the idea of it being a Sky, Water, Earth trio going on the quest or something similar considering primordials and what not.

I feel like I’d want to limit canon characters to leave it open to new characterization.

It wouldn’t be really long (at least not on purpose) I do want to give myself a challenge before I go into writing my other fic ideas though so yeah.

Just a yap session because I wanted to post today. I like posting about whatever I’m thinking especially about Percy Jackson because non of my friends irl like Percy Jackson so it’s nice I get to yap about it to whoever sees it so when you like, reblog, and comment it makes my day. Going online servers to talk about it are too much for me so I’m glad I brought myself to do this so I apologize if I have a buncha changing ideas a lot.

Godswap AU and it’s time period

I was thinking and I was thinking of what time period I wanted my godswap AU to be in and I’ve been thinking about maybe the ancient or medieval times.

I was really inspired by epic the musical in a way so I want to take some things from that.

I’m leaning towards more of a medieval time period.

I just really want to do a historical AU and I don’t want to do them separately so… what do yall think?

My brain needs to STOP giving me ideas cuz bro.

I’ve been watching Arcane and I have a few more episodes left and tell me why all of a sudden I’m starting to write a fantasy esk AU help.

Anyways, the Spiderman AU is going to get a new chapter soon. I just have to get the energy to get on my computer to post it.

Unfortunately none of the AUs I write will be short because I don’t think I have that capability within me to do that so.. yeah.

Look forward to that maybe? But just keep in mind my next posts on ao3 will most definitely be straight Spider-Man AU chapters.

Fandom: Oh... yeah sorry no... not you. We actually meant writers that are already well known and popular to produce MORE content... I mean, if a popular blog shares your work then maybe. And we don’t really like pen to paper art. We just don’t think it’s professional or even looks good :/
