people are completely okay with she/her gays, but he/him lesbians make the world grind to a halt. people don't question when gay men call each other girl and use she/her pronouns while still identifying as gay men, but the second a he/him lesbian takes a breath, he's a threat. think about why this is and why it bothers you so much. why is a she/her gay seen as very normal in the queer community to the point of being commonly accepted, but a he/him lesbian is a threat? your fear of masculinity and manhood aren't helping anyone, it's disrespecting & hurting people in real time, and you should care.

the women of america were once promised that butch dykes would be lurking in all corners of society, ready to corrupt our minds and turn us all gay. what ever happened to that. where are the butches uncle sam.

SSO Tarot Cards

With today's card, the Major Arcana is finally finished :DDD This has been a long serie of drawings, as well as my introduction to tumblr (and the SSO community here, which I come to absolutely adore). I really want to thank everyone for all the kind words, theories, discussions, encouragement, reblogs... I am really moved by all of this, and I hope my art will continue to bring you joy and I hope for many more discussions to come <3 Moving forward, I plan to post more illustrations of my Jorvik OCs, introduce my AU, as well as continue posting more usual fanart. I'm also really interested in the events often hosted in this community, it really is so cool to see other's OCs and take on Jorvik. I also love making theories and writing... so prepare for a lot of yapping :DDD That being said, I would love some ideas for future projects. Is there anything in particular you'd love to see? Any art ideas, maybe venturing outside of Jorvik- inspired things? I've seen many people in this community are also into fiber art, so I'm tempted to share some of my works in that area too. i really wanted to paint this since about march, but haven't really found the time to do so. at last, i finished it before the end of pride month.

the two girls are dressed in traditional Slovak folk dress, or kroj (traditional folk formalwear) from Piešťany region. Piešťany and the nearby village of Krakovany have one of the most gorgeous forms of kroj in the entire country and for a long time, dolls dressed in this style of dress were gifted to foreign delegations to represent my country. the same country that won't represent people like me

it is a form of reclamation, in a way, to depict sapphic love in this dress. we're here, and have always been here, even if the rest of the people will deny us our existence. this is for all my fellow queers living through being a hot point of debate during elections. you are seen and you are loved. you are part of this country, and you are part of our culture, and the culture belongs to you just as much as to everyone else
