Unique Or "normal Names"?

unique or "normal names"?

so, i'm currently plotting my book series and as the series goes on, the names get more unique to represent the time period. eg, at the start there are characters called henry, agatha and clara, etc, but at the end, there are characters called justus, tarian and solstice where it's 250 years later.

is this like an acceptable thing or would it just be weird where i certainly have some odd names lined up?

series or standalones?

icl, i am most certainly a series girl, but i was planning out my series (which has multiple different mini-series) and couldn't help but pose the question of which one is better?

personally, i love series as you always learn more about the characters and all of their little quirks. however, standalones (when written well) are the BEST - ie red, white & royal blue.

is anyone else this indecisive over this stuff too?
