Please don’t be surprised when a homeless person doesn’t want to leave their encampment or spot for a cooling center; this is the type of opportunity cops will take to clear out encampments while the owners of the stuff they’re throwing away are in centers trying to survive.
If you really want to give them some peace of mind, offer to rent them a storage locker for a few days so they can rest easy in cooler, less oppressive temps without losing everything they have left.

Hey, so, I'm sorry to keep doing this but imma lay it out: I'm broke until the 28th. I need to fix my car again, I need gas and groceries, and I would love for things to stop breaking, but that isn't gonna happen. Basically, if you're able and willing, I'm going to be needing over $300, and I've only got $30. The good news is I was already able to get cat food, so all else fails, Merrill's fed.
If you can help, I'd appreciate it. This is my ko-fi, but only donate if you're able and above legal age. If you've already donated, know that I love you. Thanks for your help, guys, I really mean it
@bobbole’s amazing “You Don’t Remember the Somme?” art reminded me of Jeremy Deller’s art “We’re Here Because We’re Here” which I actually had the privilege of stumbling across in person when I was in Manchester in July 2016.
It’s Remembrance Weekend here so I thought I’d go down memory lane a little... (none of the photos are mine btw)
The ‘art’ included about 1,600 male volunteers, all dressed in the uniforms worn by the British army in the First World War. Each man represented a named individual who had been killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme (1st July 1916). When approached by the public, the men would hand out a card bearing the name, battalion and, often, the age of the man they represented. In Deller’s words, these cards were “like small tombstones”.
Every so often, the men would sing “We’re Here Because We’re Here” which was put to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.
I still get chills just remembering.
If 2/2/22 falls on a Tuesday it could also be known as “2’s Day”

My many operations are finally under way! After my first procedure, I can say that I am feeling significantly better, but I still have quite a long journey ahead of me. I am currently on a payment plan for my medical debt, and I won't sugar coat it: it's been extremely overwhelming. But I must press on and complete the 7 other operations before I can finally be deemed healthy. The greatest news to come out of my most recent operation is that I am no longer facing death as a likely end result; however, I am still facing the possibility of quadriplegia lest I continue with these operations. So I humbly ask you all to please consider donating, or at least sharing. Every penny put towards this fundraising campaign goes to saving my life. Every reblog is highly appreciated. Love and light to you all, and thank you all so much for getting me to where I am now 🤍

I truly do regret to inform you all that I had a really bad accident and further injured my neck. I now require a vertebroplasty to stabilize my already compromised cervical spine. This is in addition to the planned arthroplasty, ventriculoperitoneal shunt, and surgical excision of my spinal growths. My medical bills are beginning to overwhelm me, and I am not going to receive any professional aid until December. At this point, I will have to increase the amount of my fundraising goal. I am under so much stress, and this doesn't even include the stress of moving 2,200 across the country to be closer to my surgeon.
I desperately need help.
I beg of you all to please share this. Here on tumblr, on twitter, or even reddit. Wherever you think it'll get traction, please. I have just begun to make payments for the operations I've already had, and the crushing weight of my medical debt is giving me panic attacks. All donations are incredibly appreciated, and every penny is literally saving my life.

For those that are unfamiliar with the game
A Tale of Crowns is a high fantasy love story, told in the form of a text-based interactive novel with choice mechanics. The setting is inspired by Kurdish culture as well as other historical settings in the Middle East such as Ancient Persia, but it also draws heavily from other cultures and countries in the region.
Your character is native to Arsur, a vast empire overseen by a single ruler known as the Crown. Unlike traditional monarchies, however, the title is not inherited through blood. Whenever the Crown dies, their famed golden eyes pass on to the one chosen by the Spirits of this world to be the new Crown. In this story, your MC takes on that role.
There are four different love interests to choose from, whose genders will be customized to suit the preferences of your Crown. You can find more info about them on the blog page!
Also note that this current version of the game is safe for those 16 years and older.
Like the premise so far? Download it and give it a try! The entire game is free!
If you enjoyed the game, please reblog! Share it with your friends! Recognition and reader interaction is just about the only thing I get in return for creating it ❤️
pls give me 1(one) reason aces have ever been oppressed, and 1(one) example of aces being a part of lgbt history(before 2004 at least) and then maybe i’ll consider the idea that aces belong in the lgbt community lol
