[ Reaper Ash. Hunger Games. ]
I canโt get Reaper out of my head. Out of all the characters, he truly stays with you. He was so raw and had a rage so many can relate to. One thing that truly gut punched me was the parallels to real life. The outrage from the crowd as a flag was torn down. Meanwhile not a word for the countless lifeless bodies of children. My heart hurt for Reaper, and my heart breaks for whatโs happening in Palestine.
i do find it funny that movie everlark are always serious and brooding around each other while in the book they bicker over if peetaโs icing skills would be useful if the arena was a giant cake or not
Some people: The love story isn't the point of The Hunger Games series! The love story distracts people from the important messages about war and oppression!
Me: Actually, the love story is vital to the series because it sits at the heart of all the major themes.
Other people: Yeah! You're right! This series isn't a love story! It's a metaphor for those themes!
Me: ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Me: YOU DON'T GET IT EITHER!
These things are not mutually exclusive! The love story can be thematically relevant and a metaphor for philosophical concepts and still be a love story! Romance is not a dirty word! It's okay for a story to be about characters in love!
I can't even begin to imagine what Haymitch must have been feeling when they won.
Realizing he gets to bring not one but both kids home this time. Watching Katniss make the same mistake he made. Knowing what happens after.

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.
Who told me it was a good idea to draw a piece with almost 50 CHARACTERS in it
Iโm suffering
Please wear a KN-95 mask, and wear layered nondescript clothing and cover your face/hair! I have seen many people use keffiyehs for this. People will be recording and taking pictures!
Dress for cold weather but know marching warms you up quickly, so dress in layers you can remove and carry without uncovering your face and hair. Ideally you should bring a backpack to carry food, water, first aid, ID, etc. It may be good to bring multiple or removable parts of your outfit if you plan on walking from your residence or car.
Please blur out peoples faces before posting to social media!
Bigotry & hatred will not be tolerated.
If you live outside of DC or Central London: talk to your local organizations! They may be able to organize transportation to this event. For buses to DC, you will likely have to pay a fee, but it is probably going to be cheaper and safer than driving to DC and parking in their $40-$50/hour parking garages. Also look into Amtrak, Greyhound buses, trains, or other means of transportation.
I just want them to be a happy family ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Posting it as a wip because I might not finish it by Act 3 ๐ฅฒ
reblog for larger sample size etc etc
The amount of comfort Finnick and Annie must have had to bring each other over the years makes me weepy
