everyone wants to have that one person that listens like a father, picks you up when you’re down like a sister, makes you laugh like a brother, inspires you like a grandfather, understands you like a grandmother, loves you unconditionally like a mother.
we think we want the one person that is all of our most precious people wrapped up in one.
but what if that person, the one, degrades you like a father, knows your weakest spots like a sister, annoys you like a brother, ignores you like a grandfather, judges you like a grandmother, and gets on your nerves like a mother. What then?
do we accept that kind of love? are we willing to accept those qualities in ourselves as well as in our other half?
