Now, I'm not claiming to be anything more than a wrench that can also fab, so bear that in mind as you peruse my Tale of Woe. Ran out of solid wire, while building a large hose rack. Had a spool of gasless fluxcore wire on the welding cart. Ignoring the dust on the package, installed, fed the gun and...ran. One. Bead. Then, I remembered how much I despise gfw for this particular application...My waaaaycool multiprocess rig damned nearly can run itself - and even IT hates gfw. Time to go visit my favorite welding supply!

Fenris, the day she came home last year, via my Loki and our Monster. Just shy of 8 weeks old. My, how she has grown!

Jayne at 5.5 months..46.5 pounds. He is part of the pack now, the grrls having accepted him; they even school him in the household routine! His fusion with the pack has gone much faster than I thought it would. Much credit to my Loki, and the grrls too, for bringing the wrinkleheaded knucklehead along.

So, last week here in Metro Phoenix, some sorry drunk pissant dude beat a 4 month old Malnois pup to death, outside where some folks could hear it screaming...and apparently, no one was close enough to land a baseball bat upside his ass. He was picked up by the local constabulary, too late for the puppy. I suggest that he needs to encounter some seriously angry junkyard dogs. Several times. I would also suggest that he needs to be seriously investigated beyond this, for if a man will do this to a puppy, what else is he capable of?

Heart squeezed, and dusty in here...

The night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of him, and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. “I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it” she said. “I think that’s what he would have wanted”. -Not sure what is more honorable: Being married to this faithful wife to the end or the Marine standing next to the casket watching over them both. Fen, playing outside. She loves to pounce on the ball so that it bounces or rolls away, and she can chase it some more. She especially enjoys zoomies past me, close enough that I can pretend to try and grab her - eliciting "ferocious" growls as she flys by. Closing in on 10 months old, 50+ pounds.

Going on 7 months now. Fen and her sister are quite the characters...they bring fun AND frustration 😅 Fen tries to defend Mom Loki from the evil vacuum cleaner, and Louis defends her from nefarious couch cushions 😄
