i know stsg is the more popular ship for a reason, and i love them, but there's a special place in my heart for itafushi

satosugu has all the lore, the symbolism, the entwined fates. they're the perfect doomed yaoi, no doubt

but itafushi...the hope, the perserverance, the care they treat each other with, it's just everything to me. in a world full of so much hate and fear, they persist and seek to save each other, no matter how doomed things might appear

something something, breaking generational curses, ending the cycle of trauma, something something

anyway, all this to say that, to me, itafushi is about hope, and that's simply impossible to beat :)

HIM!! a boy he’s known for only a few months. to latch onto him as a sort of comfort and moral compass in a time of distress and let megumi’s goals guide him when he’s lost. to let yuuji put his humanity in his hands. that’s INSANE. THEY’RE INSANE.
