This woman is Dr. Grace Murray Hopper. She created the first computer language compiler tools to program the Harvard Mark I computer. This computer was used in WWII after 1944. John von Neumann initiated the computer's first program, but Hopper invented the codes
taking smosh reddit stories so seriously and being so mad about cast’s takes is really stupid. they are reacting based on the small piece of info they are given, they can’t really see the full picture and obviously they don’t know these people personally. they can only interpret a situation in their own way and speak theoretically or from their own experience.
also, guests don’t have the post itself in front of their eyes so they’re only relying on hearing it and this way of receiving information is hard for some people. thus, some context might (and does) get lost. they don’t have time to reread it, fully digest and form a solid opinion (about a story that could easily be a lie). but they still try. they still find ways to approach the situation from different perspectives and to see both sides.
keep in mind, we’re talking about entertainers, not counsellors. they are ordinary people with their own opinions which can (and maybe should) contradict with yours. they can’t take into account everyone’s feelings, povs, struggles etc. so they probably don’t mean any harm, just sometimes possibly could’ve known better. i think we have other and more important things to call smosh out for.
I think people's issues with Smosh Reddit Stories would be solved if they filmed it in a different way.
On most reddit videos, there is at least one story that there is a bad take to. And the comments always get on it and sometimes are put off of the person the take came from. (Personally, I'll usually disagree and have a rant in my head and then just move on). It has been pointed out though that these are their first impressions, and they are often filming reddit stories at the end of a shoot week or like first thing in the morning.
If that is truly the cause of the bad takes when they happen, then a different way of filling could theoretically fix it. Since we probably still want their first reactions, there could be a start point that is just them being read the stories. Then their takes could be filmed at a later time, either later in that day or later in the shoot week, thus giving them time to process and think instead of saying absolute first thoughts. This would also probably reduce the amount that they miss key details.
Idk it would probably be a lot harder to do this way, but it was fun to think about.

Often, men will say something like : "Who built this world? Men! Who created everything, all the technology, the great art, the culture, our societies? Who built the roads you drive on? Men!" and feminists will respond "That's because you didn't let us work or make art!" and... that's just wrong? Why are you validating the idea that women didn't contribute anything to the world? That we didn't work? That we didn't innovate? And why are you approving the nonsense that says being a mother is not work?
Don't let men rewrite history.
Women have always worked the double shift; outside of home and inside of home.
decided to make a separate account bc i didn’t want it to be a side blog so this is kinda pain in the ass
every slur is recognised by liberals as unacceptable unless it’s a slur used exclusively for women.
I’m so sick of the angry people (mostly men and libfems) in my inbox telling me that bitch isn’t a slur every time I say it is one.
No, it’s not on the same level as some other slurs like the n-word, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still a misogynistic slur. Tell me how a word meaning a female dog used for BREEDING isn’t a dehumanizing, derogatory term for women. Explain it right now.
You don’t think women have been beaten, raped and killed while having that word shouted at them by men? And isn’t it funny how men call each other bitches to mean “coward,” “feminine,” “weak,” etc? 🤔
You just don’t want to admit that women are an oppressed group.
