Draw badly. Write nonsensically. Embroider messily. Burn what you bake and cook. Get paint everywhere. Read half a book. Lose your mind for a bit. Plant things. Have faith in the process. Abandon 70 wood-carving projects. Get a kit and do some of it and never return to it. Get comfortable with sucking and losing motivation. Continue to create with reckless abandon.
Don't let anyone tell you not to follow your dreams
ever since i was a child ive known that i wanted to, someday, be the mutilated corpse on a nature trail that ruins a hikers week
Whumptober2024 Day 31: Asking for help
"Dad...they’re asking what his condition is."
I love a well informed whumper. I love watching that scene where we get to see the whumper's analysis of the good team and how they decide which members pose the biggest threats. I love seeing the whumper doing their homework, building a file on each of them, picking them and their skill sets and weaknesses apart to know who to target
😌

Here’s an idea for getting a plot;
1. Consume media. A book, a show, a movie, a play, whatever. Just pick something
2. Find something about it that stands out to you. It could be a dynamic between two characters, a plot line, an aesthetic, literally anything at all. Please note that THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SOMETHING YOU LIKED - you can pick something you disliked as well, and if anything that might be even more useful depending on how you work
3. Write it your way, whether that’s paying homage to the original or changing it to be how you would prefer it to be handled, or even just an interesting alternative that’s not necessarily better or worse but gives you something different and interesting. You don’t have to use the same characters or even the same universe; just translate the point of interest into your own words
Why do we say “slept like a baby” when babies literally wake up screaming every two hours?
I want to sleep like a middle-aged dad who “rests his eyes” during a Marvel movie and wakes up refreshed, confused, and ready to barbecue.
I've accepted the guilty pleasure of cliche as my one true lord and savior by now
''there's only one bed.''
''i'll bandage you up.''
''who did this to you?''
''i didn't know where else to go.''
''can you be my date to the wedding?''
''you're my best friend. i've always loved you.''
''shut up.'' ''make me.''
''i would never fall for you.''
''then why did you do it?'' ''BECAUSE I LOVE YOU''
''oh. oh.''

Kisses that mean death.
Sirens kissing their prey as they drag them to the deep, letting the ocean seal their union.
Vampire kissing their victims as the bitten victim chokes on their own blood.
Snake-like monsters kissing their prey as they force the last bit of breath from their lungs.
Victims pleading for mercy as their words are swallowed up by tongues and lips and lust.
Kisses that mean death.
Whumpee’s new owner is…weird. They keep trying to take care of whumpee, offering food and comfort when others have given nothing. Whumpee doesn’t trust them and the only thing they can do is sit there as caretaker tries so hard to connect with them
