absolute love corrupts absolutely
"What's your attitude to life? When you meet somebody, what's your attitude to them?"
"I don't like them."
Based from this (iconic) Bob Dylan interview
I'm so, so, so pleased that you liked it, Danni, and am so appreciative of all of your kind, thoughtful words!!! 💖💖💖
by @inarticulateimbecile. Snarry. Rated E. 17k. Postwar. 8th year. Student/teacher. Hot as hell.
"You're disgusting," Potter quietly bit out.
It was an insult, so why did that mouth-watering heat race downward like he'd been called brilliant and wonderful and all things nice?
"And what does that make of you, I wonder?"

A tale of hero worship and failing to pretend.
danpuff notes: This fic was recced in the Snarry Sanctuary server and when I saw who the author was I thought "Oh I need to read that." Then I saw the Reluctantly falling in love tag and thought "Oh I need to read that RIGHT NOW." 0 regrets.
It does seem rude that their name is inarticulateimbecile when I was the one being an inarticulate imbecile in their comment box, but I digress.
This is Snarry how I like it: love born two seamlessly between two men destined to FIGHT. All of Severus' inner turmoil, not only regarding his feelings for Harry, but generally being a bitter mess postwar. Dealing with his fear for Harry, and his fear of Harry. How that fear is so easily disguised as, or transformed into, anger. Fighting Harry's advances, and his own attraction (and obsession) every step of the way. It isn't easy for him, or between them, at all, not in the least because he refuses to let it be easy.
A big part of what draws me to Snarry is just how fraught it is with tension and anger and passion. All of their rough edges, the poison in their veins, the fire at their cores. The way they clash and break and mold together. How it's destructive and transformative both at once. And it's that feeling, that dynamic, that's so beautifully portrayed here. This is Snarry exactly how I love it and I could not be more thrilled!!!!
Anyway please forgive all my babbling and go read instead!! 🙈
Professor Snape always told himself he'd never be one of the foolish, shallow dunderheads more concerned with their looks than their brains. He'd come to terms with his less-than-alluring appearance, neglected teeth included, early on in life, and decided to focus on what really mattered - knowledge.
But even if he liked to think himself above vanity-induced low self-esteem… he still dreaded the yearly Picture Day.
