God I Sure Hope Those Middle Aged Men Don’t Change My Life Permanently

My roommate doesn’t want to keep our friendship up right now. They said that we each need our own space to work things out.

I am currently at the worst spot I have ever been mentally, to the point where I’ve been hospitalized, and he is just up and leaving.

I’ve texted them fun things, things I’m thinking, just to have some reason to talk to him but he doesn’t respond to more than half of the things I send. And when I told him that I was hurting and feeling ignored because of him not responding, they told me to think about myself right now and to work on getting better myself before pushing me off to go tell my family and get support from them instead.

I don’t want to talk to my family or tell them that I’m here. That seems like the worst thing I could possibly do right now.

Like usually I just get fucking hysterical and stupid and emotional and say dumb shit. I told them I wouldn’t tell my family cause I’m just a fucking failure. He gave me a better option to tell them I have been battling clinical depression to the point that I’ve been hospitalized. I just said no.

He turned on me and told me that he’d need my mom’s and sister’s phone number since he’s my emergency contact. And because I’m an idiot I told him to fuck off.

40 minutes later he sent me a long message saying that I do not get to speak to them like that and that he will be finding a way to contact my sister no matter what. He won’t be contacting my mom. They left of saying that we need some space from each other for both of our sakes.

I hate myself.

Going to spam post a bunch of the funny things I’ve sent my friends because I think it will be entertaining to have a log of this fiasco later.

I can see this one in a hall lined with paintings in the summer palace. This along with portraits of countless royals over the years. It just looks so old oil painting esque.

THIS! The whole original arc is about Firestar proving that despite originally being a kittypet, he can be as strong and fierce as any clanborn cat. Then every time we see a kittypet after that, they are soft and gentle and would ABSOLUTELY die immediately in the wild. Sure some would be like that but we never get to see many capable ones, especially in the first arc. (Probably to help Fire be that one stand out main character but shhh)

I love the introduction of the fact that Princess has a set of skills that the clan cats don’t! She’s just as capable, just in a different setting from the clan cats.

Love her so much more now honestly. <3

Okay so! I finally beat Leshy in Inscryption and oooooooohh is the found footage type stuff so cool! I loved Pony Island so I'm super excited to see where this is going.

I may or may not have had to quit out and restart the battle several times against Leshy... I had a really good deck, but things just kept going poorly and I knew I could actually beat him if I just got things right. Didn't take too long but it was a little frustrating. ^^;

Now I'm on to Act II and I've chosen to go with Grimora's dead deck first. I just kinda picked one at random. Right at the start of the opening cutscene for the new game, I figured that the Scrybes must be the talking animal cards along with Leshy who finally gets named. It clicked because of the shape of the tech Scrybes things which was what the Stoat's head looked like for a bit.

I've gotten to the map and I'm getting very Pokemon vibes from this all now. I was down to Grimora's place first and she's already breaking the fourth wall. She tried to describe the way bones work then paused saying that my eyes had glazed over. Then she proceeded to comment that her time as an insect was not a total waste. I am so intrigued hehehe.

Oh my goodness I have no idea if this was intentional or not but she looks sort of like a bat! The way her nose is shaded looks like it’s a little upturned and something about the wings scream more bat to me this time than in other dragon art.

I actually really like the idea of that. If Nightwings look super bat-esque and so Sunny would look a little like one herself.

I wonder if, in theory, Sandwings could be based off various desert animals and it just so happens that Sunny’s bat-like feature actually pass off as a different desert animal instead.

here's my take on listener! I originally wanted to give her huge bat ears to be on brand with the name, but decided against it as they weren't working well with her other features. She gives me really strong magenta vibes, so I changed her color scheme a lot to fit that + added some small pink star markings along her body and wings!

As for her frame, I wanted to really amplify the idea that Listener is tall for her age (As described in the wiki) by giving her longer limbs than some of my other designs. Her tail, head, wings and feet may seem slightly disproportionate: my effort to make her seem more like a kid going through a crazy growth spurt, compared to someone who's just tall. I'm sure Listener grew to be a more functional tall queen into adulthood, but she's definitely a little wobbly right now.
