Random rambling cuz I'm bored but I really don't understand how the monsters got their Happy Ending on the Surface after Frisk freed them. Like. Have you seen them. They have little to no knowledge on humans, they thought it was a really good idea to have a child as an ambassador, they are literal monsters. So many things should have went wrong while interacting with the humans. Undyne destroys things if she's too energetic and literally thinks humans are like in anime, Papyrus would definitely piss someone off even if not on purpose, and the humans definitely had at least the instinct to react with hostility. Heck look what happened to Chara and Asriel. And let's not talk about the fact the monsters killed human children to get out of the Underground. And yes, I know this game was made to be silly and Toby Fox is silly and the game isn't supposed to focus on the Surface, I'm not against the Happy Ending we've got, I just don't understand how it happened without accidents
Ahahahah- It's true
Fanfic writers are like crows. If you give them treats (comments) they will bring you shiny things (fanfic)
Question
Is it really a headcanon if you're the creator and you decide what is canon and what isn't?
Howdy! Welcome to my little corner.
How can you call me? I go with tons of nicknames! You can call me Dragon, Draca, Luv, Luvy, Luvia, Cherry, Drago or Draga for short. I don't mind any nickname. Take your pick :3
I'm just a random minor with too much imagination and writing projects, no skill in drawing whatsoever, and absolutely no social life. I'm also Aroace and on the Autism spectrum.
I got tons of fandoms I'm in, off the top of my head Undertale, Deltarune, In Stars and Time, Omori, One Shot, Epic the Musical, Hamilton the musical, Mouthwashing, Arcane, Slay the Princess and Gravity Falls.
I'm also an aspiring writer, and will maybe rant about random fanfiction/OCs here. Mainly Undertale related things.
Also asks are completely open! Feel free to throw whatever you want at me ^^
I got an ao3 account with some stuff if you wanna check it out!

INK SONG WHOO!! this video took so much out of me, thanks Ink
Ink by @comyet
So true.
I mean, it's OKAY to like him, don't misunderstand me, just like it's okay to like any other character, but this... It's too much. It is simply too much.
The fandom literally worships him. HE WAS THE FRICKIN TUMBLR SEXYMAN BACK IN 2022 (I think it was 2022, not sure). WHAT THE HECK GUYS.
And don't get me started on how many Sanses there are out there and how few Frisks, Charas, Toriels, Papyruses, Undynes, Alphys's, Mettatons, ASGORES MY MAN, ASGORES, have their own AU and story and don't just exist ignored.
GIVE MORE STORIES TO THE OTHER CHARACTERS TOO. THEY DESERVE ONE.
Like and Reblog if you like Undertale, but can't stand the fandom's worship of Sans or the many AUs that treat him like he's the main character...
A writer friend told me something that broke my heart a little bit today; they're going to quit publishing their fanfic.
My instant thought was that they had been trolled or attacked or that something terrible had happened in their life because this person is so passionate about their writing. It wasn't any of that. Engagement with their works has been going down, as it has for many of us. Comments are like gold dust a lot of the time, and just looking through the historical comment counts on old fics on ao3 demonstrates this trend very clearly. It was not simply the comments dropping off which caused them to decide to stop posting, however.
My friend came across a discord server for their fandom (I should point out here that their fandom interest and mine diverged a couple of years ago, we stay in touch but don't currently read each other's posts because I'm not into their fandom and they would rather gouge their eyes out with a wooden spoon than read anything Star Wars) and specifically to share fic in that fandom. They joined, because we all love a good fic rec, only to discover that their latest multichapter fic, which has almost no comments and very few kudos, is being hotly discussed in this server as one of the best stories ever. Not one of these people has bothered to say this to them on the fic. When they asked, none of participants could see the point in telling the author of the fic they apparently loved so much that they love it.
This discovery has absolutely destroyed my friend's love of sharing fic. They share because they love seeing other people's enjoyment, and fic writers do that through comments and kudos/reblogs/likes because we don't get paid. There is no literary critic writing a blog post/article about how amazing the story is for us to copy and keep/frame. There is no money from royalties. All we have are the words of the people reading our works.
Those people on that server could have taken five minutes of the time they spent gushing about how amazing my friend's story was to other people and used it to tell the one person guaranteed to want to hear that praise how much they loved it. They could have taken a moment to express their opinion to the person who spent hours upon hours plotting, writing, editing, and posting those chapters. Instead, they deprived my friend of thing that keeps them sharing their writing, and in the process have killed their love of it. My friend now feels used and unmotivated.
I won't be sharing a link to their fic, they said I could share their experience but not their identity. I know they plan to post one final chapter. I know they intend to express their hurt at being excluded from the praise for the thing they created, and I know they intend to announce that as a consequence they will not be posting for a long while, if at all.
So please, I beg you, don't hide your love of a story from the writer. It's just about the only thing we have.
I am using a little OC of mine for this, since I think she really fits the Bad Sanses (ahem she's crazy ahem). We're in a scenario where she's been with the gang for a while now. There is no romanticism in this, I think it'll mainly be her interacting with the gang following the prompts. It's also a weird mix of canon, fanon and headcanon. I tried my best, but beware of the cringe >_<
Every character belongs to its respective owner
Ashes belongs to me
Bad Sansuary belongs to @owl-bones
Everything was eerily quiet in the AU, everyone either hiding or already dead. Horror could hear the sounds of destruction and Blasters firing some blocks away, Dust and Killer having been sent to cause some destruction and generally be a distraction, while Horror and Ashes had been sent to rummage through some houses after swapping roles with them, them being the one terrorizing survivors before. They wanted to try and make positive AUs more negative, bringing Dream to a disadvantage in terms of power and making sure that what happened with Ink a few missions ago wouldn't happen again.
Horror broke into the Snowdin Shop, kicking the door open, and Ashes sauntered in after him, looking around with an "excited" expression like she had never seen the place before going up to the counter and jumping over it to go to the other side, Horror following her. They both rummaged around, Horror stealing all the food while Ashes took all the gold and sparkly things she could find, stocking her inventory with them.
At one point Horror found himself staring at a little doll he found on the counter, reliving memories about a little bunny girl back home, a girl whose life had been cut short when the Core shut down, one of the many he couldn't save from starvation and Undyne's guards. He held it tightly, his sharp tips of his phalanges piercing through some of the fabric as he remembered how it was back home. He didn't often let himself remember the life in his AU, but sometimes the memories got the best of him like his hunger did. The living hell it had slowly become after Frisk crossed that Barrier. His hope that slowly dwindled as things got worse. The things he had done, and the things that had been done to him. And then he remembered of before the famine, before Undyne's coup, before Frisk. He remembered a time that if not perfect, was peaceful. Where he could still smile and laugh. Where people weren't dying left and right like mosquitoes. Where they could all be happy.
Once, he wished for things to be fixed, to find a solution to all his problems, to find a Happy Ending. Now, what he truly yearned for was for everything to go back the way it was before. For everything to be normal again.
But of course, he couldn't be that lucky. Even if the Boss did let him go and leave the gang, his AU was one of the few who didn't have Reset. He was stuck. And would probably be for a long time.
"Whatcha looking at?"
He was snapped back to reality as Ashes, who was leaning over the counter, looked at him curiously, a bit of malice in her eyes as she looked at the doll he was still holding and then back at him.
"Ohhhhh, reminiscing the past, ay big guy? Didn't take you for the nostalgic type~"
He tensed up a bit at that, but she simply tilted her head and stared him right in the eyes, waiting for him to say something while holding her hands under her chin. He hesitated as he answered
"Just... Thinking about back home, that's all."
Her smile got a little wider, and she leaned over more, arms on the counter
"Lemme guess, you want things to go back to the way they were before, hm? Before everything got messed up"
He was taken aback by this, and gave her a cautious look.
"How do you know that?"
She giggled, getting back into a more normal position.
"C'mon, we aren't that different you and I!~"
Then she stopped, seemingly reflecting for a moment.
"... Alright no that's a lie. We are very different. But it's not so unusual for people as messed up as us to wish to go back, to yearn and crave for normality. When everything was simpler and all that. I find it boring to be honest"
Horror tilted his head, reflecting on that. It made sense, at least in part. He surely wasn't happy with who he was now or what he did, and definitely found his old life much more bearable. He looked at Ashes, a question forming in his head, and he asked her:
"... So what do you yearn for anyway?"
At that, she blocked, eyes snapping to his and staring him with a weird expression as her smile froze on her face. Horror actually started to get a little unnerved before she suddenly got normal again and spoke up.
"Nothing, everything, who cares? We are never gonna obtain what we want anyway. So why even bother?!"
Horror was actually a bit worried at that, but when he tried to answer the Boss teleported in the shop.
"Horror, Ashes. The Stars are here. We need to go"
"Of course Boss!"
Ashes said that with a cheerful tone, as if nothing happened, and winked at Horror. Nightmare surrounded them with his tentacles. Then everything faded to black, and they left the AU.
Lil headcanon for Undertale
I remember I said before that I consider physical damage and magical damage two different things. I also think that while in an Encounter only your Soul is there to take the damage, and you're not physically there to dodge the magic. You can move your soul around, true, but you do it from outside the battle box or even the buttons. I think your body would be stuck in place during the turn of the enemy.
Physical damage on the other hand, it can be dealt out of combat too, outside the rules of an Encounter. I remember this book in Snowdin saying that monsters receive bullet pattern birthday cards for their birthday, implying they can summon magic only during an Encounter.
Physical damage can be dealt both inside and outside of combat, as Frisk shows when they attack. I believe that since monsters are made of magic both physical and magical attacks lower their HP, while humans are made of physical matter and their Soul doesn't get damaged if their body is. On the other side, magic attacks can sometimes influence the body, especially when you die. There's an interaction with Toriel in the Ruins, where she's worried about you because she sees you injured if you get hit by a monster even if you're at full HP, while if you don't get hit at all during all the Ruins she notices you're unscathed. That proves that while you got physical damage by magic attacks, eating food or saving heals your Soul but not your body.
The fact that the two things are different can also explain what I like to call the "dodging dilemma". As we know, Sans can dodge us. It's known, and no one discusses it. But if we talk to Undyne during her hangout, she tells us that Asgore can also dodge, because the first time the two fought Undyne couldn't land a single hit. But Asgore doesn't dodge us during his battle. Everyone chalks it up to him being regretful and not wanting to take our Soul, until another thing comes to mind. Wouldn't he have taught Undyne how to dodge, if he knew how to do? And wouldn't Undyne have used that ability against us, if that was the case?
This would make sense if you considered the fact physical and magical attacks are different. I think every monster knows how to dodge basic attack patterns, even if it could be difficult to dodge more complicated ones. And monsters are taught how to fight only magically and not physically. And for some reason, only Sans knows how to dodge physical attacks. And it all clicks together like this. Who knows, maybe Asgore knows how to also dodge physical attacks, but let's remember something else: when he was on the Surface, apparently humans could and did use magic too. Maybe he wasn't expecting Frisk to fight physically inside an Encounter because he thought they could also use magic, and all the monsters didn't warn him because they didn't know better. His skills would be rusty at best when he realized the situation, and he probably lost that ability anyway during the years of reclusion Underground, this without counting the regret factor. The only question left is, how does Sans know how to dodge physical attacks then? I... Will let you try to come up with answers, because I have no idea :)
But seriously, tell me what you think about this, possible weak points of this headcanon and maybe conjure up a solution for the last question, if you want to.
... I lied, it wasn't a little headcanon at all
Guys
Hear me out
"No Longer You", but Tiresias is the Creator and Odysseus is the Character, and the Creator is explaining to the Character how a "happy ending" will never happen for them because of the storyline the Creator made for them

I tried to mess around with Ashes' pov with this one
Bad Sansuary belongs to @owl-bones
Dust belongs to @ask-dusttale
Ashes belongs to me
The voices were at it again. Twisting, whispering, screaming and screeching into her ears, pulling at the broken fragments of her mind now that she was at her weakest. Ashes felt a laugh bubbling up in her throat, a gurgling feeling in her mouth as she half coughed half giggled and a drop of blood fell from her mouth and onto the dusty floor of the dungeon she found herself in. Chains pulled heavily where they closed around her wrists and ankles, rattling as she moved and wiped the blood away from her mouth. She knew something was broken inside her, but she chose to ignore that and focused the energies that were slowly coming back to her to instead hear something above the whispers and examine the surroundings.
She couldn't remember how she got here. Which was strange, but not unusual since she always locked away the memories that found a way to hunt her. She shivered, observing the shadows and seeing them writhe. She knew He was watching. She knew that whatever lesson He decided to teach her this time would remain forever marked into her broken mind and soul, making sure she never disobeyed or displeased Him again. The god to which she sold her soul made sure His broken vessel would always be the perfect puppet to spread chaos and wreak havoc, and even though her mind was torn and her fear was taken away she still knew better than to annoy Him. She didn't fear Nightmare, or Error, or any other person she ever met, but she feared Him.
She strayed away from that trail of thoughts and registered that she was in a cell in the castle's dungeons, heavy chains not only around her wrists and ankles but also around her neck, and she could feel the effects of some kind of sedative wearing off. The cell wasn't very large, barely able to contain a person, and the bars were directly in front of her. She must've snapped pretty bad if the others decided to lock her away in here. She had to say, it was really impressive that they even managed to take her here. She thought about how to free herself, and started twisting her arm to get it out of the restraints, losing the will midway through as she just wanted to see if she could break her own bones like this.
She heard a noise as she was immediately distracted and she raised her head, seeing two cyan and red eyelights and the weight of a thousand souls staring back at her. She smiled and dropped her arm to the ground, completely captured by the skeleton in front of her now instead. Now this was an interesting sight.
"Lookie here who it is, the silent soul! Having fun watching the freak in her cage?"
He didn't answer, as always. He was always the funniest to mess around, his logic brain always struggled to catch up to her madness and she knew it, making sure to be as unpredictable as possible around him to plant the seeds of confusion. Confusion led to fear, fear led to anger, and once there was enough anger things easily spiraled out of control and Ashes could say to have reached her goal. She knew he didn't trust her one bit, and she got proof of that in a situation similar to this some time before. It was indeed fun to see him, of all people, to snap. Fun indeed.
"Come on, step forward and speak to me, I promise I don't bite~"
He didn't step forward, but he said something.
"Do you remember anything that happened?"
She tilted her head, deciding to mess around with him for a while yet.
"Mmmmaybe, mmmmaybe not, what do you say?"
She could basically feel his frustration now.
"You had a mental breakdown. Boss tried to snap you out of it, but you snapped at him instead and you two fought."
Ashes put up an expression of fake surprise.
"Really?! That's why I feel like I was hit by a truck then!"
That was a lie, Ashes couldn't feel anything, but she thought it would be appropriate to say.
"He messed you up real bad"
Ashes wondered how much of that victory was really because of Nightmare's skills in combat, and how much of it had to do with Ashes not really being at her peak, Nightmare's powers to get whatever negativity she was feeling out of her and his immortality. She doubted she would've left anyone alive, especially if that someone was the Guardian of Negativity and his death would damage the balance of emotions greatly causing chaos in the universe. Sure, she wanted to have fun with this one, but she wasn't herself when she fought.
On an unrelated side note, she wondered how many of the voices were real souls and how many fragments of her broken mind.
She was snapped back into focus as Dust spoke up again
"You were fighting like a beast"
She giggled, smile widening a little. Of course he would say that. She could feel the question behind those eyes, but he didn't realize he fell into a trap as well.
"Mhhhhhhh, I suppose I did. Would've been fun to watch, but I suppose I don't get to. After all..."
She raised her head, eyes and smile devoid of any emotion.
"You know how these kind of things work, don't you Dust?~"
She saw him tense up. She watched as he tightened his fists, then stuffed his hands inside his hoodie. She stared and he stared back.
It was during one of his LV crisis. She had walked in to it, and purposely guided him out of his room and made him attack Horror. Eventually Nightmare stepped in, he knocked Dist out and locked him in the dungeon as well to avoid any other incident like that. No one knew Ashes caused everything and Dust didn't remember, but it was always fun to remember Dust about it. At the time, she was the one watching from outside of the bars.
Her chains rattled again, as she moved into a standing position and got to the bars, gripping them and pressing against them.
"C'mon, silly. You wanted to talk with me, you can talk. Or do you have better things to do?"
She saw him hesitate. She saw him pull his hood higher up. She watched him walk away, his footsteps echoing in the dungeons.
And she was left alone again.
