these fics are so good! Can you do a Cubs panic attack hurt comfort fic? I feel like Leo is always the comforter, can we see his boys rally to care for him when he’s feeling super anxious 🙏🏼

Everyone has a bad day. Sometimes the clouds hide the sunshine. But it's okay, he's got two boyfriends who are always going to be there for him!

Please keep sending in prompts! <3

On my way up, Logan sent as the elevator doors closed behind him. He leant against his suitcase handle, watching as the numbers increased on the screen above the doors. Though it had only been a few weeks since Leo and Finn had come to New York for a game, it felt like months. Logan, for his part, was looking forward to a week with no hockey (with the exception of watching the All Stars) and with his boyfriends. He yawned, slightly tired from the early morning drive, but perked up when the elevator dinged and the doors opened.

As he stepped out, he heard a door open quickly from down the hall, and he looked up to find Finn jogging towards him. Leo was leaning against the doorframe to their apartment, arms crossed and with a soft smile on his face.

Logan barely had time to get his suitcase off the elevator before Finn was squeezing him around the waist and lifting him up with an excited laugh.

“Baby's home!” he said, far too loudly for the empty hallway, but he didn't seem to care.

Logan laughed in his ear as Finn spun him around. He could see Leo laughing, too, over Finn’s shoulder. “Salut, rouge.”

In one motion, Finn set him down and drew him in for hard, happy kisses. Logan almost couldn't keep up.

“Hi,” Finn said in between each press of their mouths. “Hi, hi, hi, I missed you.”

Logan kissed him lingering once more before pulling back. “Missed you.”

Finn turned him around to walk towards the door. He pressed against Logan's back, one hand on his waist and one dragging his suitcase. It was impractical and clumsy as they moved towards Leo, but Logan wasn't ready to be out of Finn’s arms quite yet.

When they arrived in the doorway, Leo was looking down amusedly at them. Logan admired the way his shoulder muscles showed through his T-shirt before stepping into his space.

“Hi, honey,” Leo said with a smile. “Welcome home.”

Logan just reached up to wrap his arms tightly around Leo's neck, Leo doing the same around Logan's waist. Leo smelled spicy, like he'd been cooking, and like their laundry detergent. Logan breathed it in before pulling back slightly to cup around the base of Leo's neck. “Bonjour, mon soleil.”

Finn pressed against Logan's back again as Leo leaned down to kiss him. Logan sighed against Leo's mouth. They kissed softly, languidly, until Leo cupped Logan's face in his palms to hold him there a moment. When they pulled apart, Leo bent down to tuck his nose in Logan's neck. “Missed you.”

There was a sizzling sound from the kitchen and Leo let Logan go. “Whoops, that'll be the meatballs.”

“Meatballs?” Logan asked, following Leo curiously over to the stove.

Leo nodded. “Got all your favorites on the menu this week. Spaghetti and meatballs, chicken wings, lamb stew, spicy burritos, chili. Some creme brulee- I finally got a tray with sides for a water bath. Homemade bread.” Leo paused, turning a few meatballs over to let them finish browning. “Oh, and your maman sent me her cassoulet recipe. Figured I'd sneak that in as well.”

Logan smiled against Leo's bicep. “Merci, soleil.” He looked up to gaze at Leo's side profile. “But you don't have to do all that if you don't want to. I don't want you to stress.”

“That's what I said!” Finn called from where he was putting Logan's suitcase in their bedroom.

Leo shook his head. “And I told you it's fine!” He dropped a kiss on Logan's head. “I know you don't eat as well in New York. I want you to feel at home.”

“I do feel at home,” Logan said. “You're here.”

Leo smiled happily down at him and leaned in for a kiss. “I love you.” He inspected his meatballs. “Now, go have a seat, sweetheart. I'll finish this up to let the sauce simmer for a few hours, then I'll make us some lunch.”

Logan sighed but complied, going over to take his rightful place sitting on the counter.

***

The BLTs for lunch the first day were good. So was the spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Logan didn't mind spending the whole day in the apartment, sitting at the counter in Finn’s arms to keep Leo company while he cooked. It felt so good just to be together again.

The following day had been a relaxing one as well. They'd gone for a morning run all together, then brought pastries back to go with the eggs and bacon Leo cooked. Leo had no sooner finished his plate than he was washing the dishes and getting out more ingredients to prepare food for the All Stars week. But it was okay- they sat on the couch together to watch the skills competition with piles of homemade wings, onion rings, and loaded fries.

It was the third day that Logan started to get worried. By the look Finn gave him as they stepped through the apartment door, hand in Logan's after coming back from the pharmacy, he did, too.

“Le?” Finn asked cautiously. “You okay?”

“Hm?” Leo looked up at them. He was stirring at the stove with one hand and measuring out some stock with the other. He paused to step away and pour what looked like brownie batter into a pan. “I'm okay.”

“Do you need help?” Logan asked.

Leo shook his head, distracted. “No, thank you. Go put on the All Star game, I'll join you in a minute.”

Logan and Finn looked at each other warily as they shrugged off their coats.

***

“Shit.”

Finn jerked his head up from his place on Logan's chest on the fourth day. They both peered over the back of the couch at Leo's back.

“Le,” Logan said. “Ça va?”

Leo waved his hand. “Nope, no, it's fine. I forgot to add in the garlic before sautéeing the rest of the veggies. Just gotta mince some.”

Finn flashed his eyes to Logan before standing and walking over to the counter. “I can do it, Le.”

But Leo's arm was furiously moving with his chopping. His words were rushed and a bit frantic. “No, no, sweetheart , it's okay, I-” He was interrupted by the timer on their stove going off. “Oo, that'll be the creme brulee.”

He grabbed a couple of oven mitts and opened the door, peering for a second.

“Le,” Finn said. “Are you sure-”

“Promise, sweetheart, I've got it.” Leo held the hot tray with one hand and stirred the pan on the stove with the other. “I just gotta make sure the garlic doesn't- ah!”

Finn took in a sharp breath. There was the sound of the tray clattering onto the counter, and then Leo was rushing towards the sink to run cold water over his arm where the boiling water from the water bath had burned him. Logan couldn't see his face, but his back muscles were tense.

Finn looked alarmed as he carefully approached Leo's side. He gently touched Leo’s arm. “Le…”

Leo was still for a moment. Logan couldn't even hear him breathing. Then, maybe it was Finn's presence, or maybe his soft voice, but Leo's shoulders hitched with his first sob.

“Oh, baby.” Finn reached to shut the faucet off and opened his arms. “Baby, c'mere.”

Leo turned into him, crying freely now. He cradled his arms against his stomach and fell against Finn. Logan didn't think he'd ever seen Leo cry like that, helpless and lost and completely boneless. And when he spoke, his words came out disjointed. His breathing was static and much too rapid for Logan's liking.

“I'm so sorry,” Leo sobbed. “It's just- he's never here. And- and I want to do something, and this is how I- I want him home, and now I've wasted our time-”

“Sh, sh, baby,” Finn whispered. He had a hand in Leo's hair and one tight around his heaving ribs, applying pressure. “I've got you, sunshine. Breathe, baby, breathe.”

Finn twisted his head slightly to rest it on Leo's shoulder, facing Logan. He wasn't crying, exactly, but he looked sad, heartbroken- even a little guilty, Logan thought. Guilty that he and Leo were bearing this sorrow in front of Logan. They talked about how much they missed each other, but sometimes Logan thought he would never know how truly deep their ache ran.

Logan stood and walked over cautiously to where Finn and Leo were standing by the stove. Leo had stopped crying so hard now, but his breathing was still shaky against Finn's shoulder. Logan leaned against the island opposite them. “Soleil?”

Leo pulled away with a sniffle and wiped his nose. “Hi, honey,” he said. He tried for a smile, but then his breathing caught and he put a hand over his eyes. “Fuck.”

Logan immediately took Leo in his arms, Finn moving to rub a hand up and down Leo's back. Leo wasn't crying, but his breathing was harsh against Logan’s neck.

“I'm sorry, Lo,” Leo whispered. “I'm so, so sorry.”

Logan turned his head to press his mouth to Leo's ear. “Sh, mon soleil. It's okay.”

“No, Lo, it's not, I've spent the whole time in the damn kitchen-”

“Leo,” Finn said, somehow firm and gentle in that way he always was. “We just want you to breathe for us, baby. Just for a minute.”

Leo nodded into Logan's neck, holding tightly around Logan's waist. He didn't seem to know how hard he was squeezing, but Logan didn't dare move. He squeezed just as tightly back.

After a few minutes, Leo's breathing calmed down enough that he started to get heavy in Logan's arms. Finn raised his eyebrows, and Logan nodded minutely. Finn leaned in to kiss Leo's neck. “Le?”

“Mm.”

“You wanna talk, baby?”

Leo just buried his nose further into Logan's neck and shook his head. “No.”

Logan turned his nose into Leo's curls. “Why not, mon soleil?” When Leo didn't answer and Logan felt a couple more tears fall onto his shoulder, he made a soft noise and kissed the side of Leo's head. “Mon coeur, don't cry. It's okay.”

Finn rested his forehead on Leo's shoulder. “Please tell us what's wrong, baby.”

Leo mumbled something, but it was unintelligible.

Logan scratched at Leo's scalp. “Quoi?”

Leo sighed. “I'm embarrassed.”

Finn and Logan looked at each other with sad eyes. Logan tugged once gently on Leo’s hair. “Regarde-moi, mon soleil.”

Leo took a deep breath and stepped back. His cheeks were blotchy and his blue eyes lined with red. Logan took his face in his hands, stood on his toes, and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. Finn had one arm wrapped around Leo's torso, palm rubbing up and down his stomach.

“I'm sorry,” Leo said. “I really wanted this week to be special for you.”

“It is, Le,” Logan replied gently. “Every day with you is special.”

Leo looked down at the floor. “I just wanted to make you feel at home.”

“You make me feel at home, mon coeur. You and rouge.” Logan rubbed his thumbs underneath Leo’s eyes. “You're so good to me, and you're so kind, and so thoughtful, and so beautiful. We have the rest of our lives to eat the delicious food you cook.”

“Yeah,” Finn said. “Le, we love when you cook for us, but that's not why we love you.”

“Ouais.” Logan leaned up to kiss Leo lightly. He took Leo’s hand in his to kiss just above the slightly burnt skin on his forearm. “I want to be with you, soleil. That's all I want.”

Leo pressed their foreheads together. “I'm still so sorry.”

“Non, don't be,” Logan said. “I love how sweet you are.” Logan smiled against Leo's cheek. “But maybe tonight we don't cook.”

Leo laughed tearily. “Yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. Thank you.”

“Tell you what, nutter butter,” Finn said, shifting to stand by their sides with his arms looped around Leo's waist. “I'll box up the veggies and the beef and we can make chili together tomorrow. You'll sit at the counter looking all pretty and tell Lo and I what to do.”

Leo looked mildly horrified. “Uh-”

“Don't worry your pretty little curls, it'll be fine.” Finn pressed a wet kiss to Leo's cheek and spoke with his nose nudging where his lips had been. “Tonight, however, I'm going to take you both out to that Turkish place, then we will come home and have dessert. The creme brulee looks great, all it needs is the sugar, and you know how much I love a blow torch.”

Leo couldn't help but smile, a little bashfully, and nod. “Okay. Okay, yeah, that sounds good.” He turned to look at Finn. “Thank you.”

Finn kissed him. “Any time, you know that, baby.” His expression got a little more serious. “And, Le, if you ever feel like that again, please tell us?”

“Ouais, we won't judge,” Logan said. He nuzzled his nose under Leo's jaw. “We just want you to be alright.”

“I promise,” Leo whispered into Logan's hair. They stood still for a minute, tucked together and close. “I promise.”

“All righty,” Finn said jovially. He pressed a smacking kiss to each of their cheeks. “You go get all nice and handsome for me, and I'll clean the kitchen, okay? Lo, can you take our sunshine to the shower, and then put some cream on that burn?”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “I can shower myself.”

Finn waggled his eyebrows. “But why would you do that when Logan Tremblay is so ready and willing to go with you?”

Leo looked down at Logan and smiled. “You have a good point.” He took Logan's hand and started towards the bathroom. “We'll be right back!”

Logan grinned, looking over his shoulder to find Finn watching them fondly. Love you, he mouthed. Logan mouthed it back and continued following Leo to the bathroom. He pushed forward and wrapped his arms around Leo's waist, causing them to stumble.

Leo caught them and covered Logan's hand with his own. “You okay, sweetheart?”

Logan nodded against Leo's back. “Je t'aime.”

Leo spun and kissed his forehead. “I love you, too. Now c'mon, we got a sexy redhead waiting for us.”

“I heard that!”

Logan laughed and let himself be dragged beneath the hot spray.

your writing is getting me through finals weeks rn…which leads me to a prompt of one of the cubs being stressed with comfort from the other two, could be work related, could be not, whatever you want!!

I hope you are having lovely holidays/vacations! Sorry for the delay in posting- I was hiking for a few days and had limited WiFi, but I am BACK!! I have SO much written so please be prepared to be bombarded with some Cubs, and please keep sending in prompts! This blog is as much for you as it is for me, so whatever visions of stories you have, please send me an ask!

Without further ado, some lovely Cubs! This is an official F-YOU to the US visa process and the fact that polygamy is not legal in this country. We should always be hoping and pushing for a better, more inclusive, and more intersectional future! Credits to @lumosinlove ! <3

P.S. I hope your finals went well!! Sending you love, friend!!

Logan Tremblay did not consider himself a highly stressed out person. There really wasn’t anything for him to stress over, at least not anything physical or superficial. He was lucky, he knew that, one of the last people to want for anything. And any sort of stress, really, was always tied to hockey, which he was grateful for.

The U.S. Visas and Immigration process, however, was enough to cause a lifetime of stress for just about anybody. Or so he reckoned.

“Merde,” he muttered under his breath. Every Google search, every document he found on his hard drive made him more confused. “Shit.”

Finn’s voice called out to him from their bedroom, the sound of footsteps echoing through the halls as he approached the living room where Logan was sat. “Lo, baby, have you seen my purple sweater? I was going to wear it for dinner with- oh. Oh, sweetheart, what’s wrong?”

Logan looked up at his husband with a pinch between his brows. “Just looking at visa stuff.”

A confused expression washed over Finn’s face. “What are you doing that for?” He came up behind the couch and put a hand on Logan’s shoulder. “But, you’re on the professional athletes, visa, right? So we’ve got nothing to worry about.”

“Non, but when I- when I stop, we will,” Logan said.

“What do you mean?”

Logan sighed. “I won’t be able to stay here without a green card. So I’ll need to get a visa.”

“Oh,” Finn said with a breath. “Oh, that makes sense.”

Logan flipped through another folder on his hard drive. “Mais, I have all the documents my parents and I used for my student visa. But a lot has changed since then, and the student visa is different- I’m just not sure what to do, really.” He rubbed a hand over his face. His head was killing him. “I’ll figure it out, don’t worry, rouge.”

Logan turned back to his computer, squinting his eyes against the glare of the screen. He didn’t want to even think about retiring from hockey at the moment, but he knew it was coming in the next few years. They wanted to settle down a bit, be together more- hockey had been a part of their relationship for almost ten years, since the very beginning. And now that Logan and Leo were both with the Lions, spending all his time back in Gryffindor had Logan thinking of the future more often than not. If they had a house, a pet, a child or two (or more), he wanted to be present and not be worried about the legalities. The route to get there, however, looked more complicated than he had originally thought.

All of the legal English was starting to tire his brain, and he blinked hard before letting out a sigh. He jumped when he felt a hand card through his hair, and looked up to find Finn just watching him. He’d gotten better, over the years, at letting Logan come to him with words. Sometimes, though, Logan still wanted him to push. “Quoi, rouge? Tell me.”

“I just…” Finn started. He huffed and came around to sit beside Logan and look at the computer. “I guess I just hadn’t really thought about it, is all. That you’re not a U.S. citizen.”

“Non,” Logan said. He pressed a kiss to Finn’s cheek. “But it’ll be fine. I’ll figure it out.”

“Lo-”

“I will, I promise,” he interrupted. Logan felt so unlike himself, so restless and jumpy, and he could see concern written all over Finn’s face. He set the laptop down on the table. “I’ll find a professional to help me, or I’m sure the NHL has someone-”

“What’s going on?”

Logan and Finn both jumped at Leo’s voice. He, too, came and sat down on Logan’s other side, arm around the back of the couch. He smiled at them, then took a glance at the computer, and the smile immediately faded. Logan didn’t like when it did that.

“What’s going on, honey?”

Logan leaned a head on Leo’ shoulder and sighed. “Visa. I’ll need one when I’m done with hockey.”

“Oh,” Leo said, in the same way Finn had. “Well, that… that makes sense, I guess.” Leo turned to look down. “What’s the face for, Lo? Everything alright?”

Logan nodded. “Ouais. Ouais, it’s just…” He paused, taking Finn’s hand and pushing harder into Leo’s shoulder. “I could do the green card, I think, but I don’t know where to start, and not all my student visa stuff can be used. Or…”

Leo nudged him gently. “What is it?”

Logan could barely stand looking at Finn’s brown eyes. “Or I marry one of you.”

Finn’s eyes flashed to his wedding and engagement ring, confused for a moment. Logan watched the realization dawn on his face. It looked exactly how Logan felt- happy and guilty at the same time, wanting it with everything he had, and yet knowing that it wasn’t fair.

Based on Leo’s sharp inhale, he had realized as well. “You marry… one of us.”

“Ouais,” Logan whispered.

Finn groaned, pitching forward to press his forehead into Logan’s. “I hate that. I hate that.”

“Ouais, me too,” Logan said shakily. All of a sudden, tears pressed at the edges of his eyes. “I-I don’t like that we aren’t legally married. That we can’t be.” He looked at the computer screen, the words tumbling from his mouth uncharacteristically. “I don’t want to have to make that choice. I hate that that’s an option, for me to stay with you, but to choose one of you. And then if we want children- I don’t want just one of you, I want both-” His voice broke over his words and he groaned as the tears fell.

“Whoa, whoa, hey,” Leo hushed him gently. “Hey, hey, sweetheart, it’s okay.”

“Non, non it’s not, Le. I won’t do that to you-”

But Leo just wrapped his arms around him, pulling him back against his chest. Logan fell, burying his face in the crook of Leo’s elbow. Finn gasped tearily, too, their temples touching gently. Logan was shaking now, sobs wracking through his body. It was stress, it was anger, it was sadness at the thought that the world wanted him to choose between things he physically couldn’t. It was the fact that it took him so long to get here, to accept the fact he wanted not just one boy, but two, to be comfortable loving them in the open, letting them love him in private, letting himself love them in private. Logan couldn’t help the sounds that left his mouth, desperate and wet and frustrated as he fell apart in his husbands’ arms. He could feel Leo’s chest shaking underneath him, Finn’s wet skin as he brushed their cheeks together. It brought a new wave of emotion over him, and he gripped Leo’s forearm hard.

“Oh, Lo,” Leo said softly. “Oh, sweetheart, I’m so sorry.”

“Ce n'est pas juste-”

“Sh, sh, I know. I know, it’s not fair.”

They sat there and rocked him gently for what felt like hours. They would periodically press soft kisses to his skin, always gentle, always loving. Logan closed his eyes, almost sleepy in Leo’s hold as he let his head fall heavy against Leo’s body. Leo just squeezed him tighter.

“Logan,” Finn said quietly. “Logan, look at me baby.”

Logan lifted his head from his nook for Finn to take between his palms. To his surprise, Finn was smiling at him.

“It’s going to be okay,” he said. “If you had to- if you had to legally marry one of us, that doesn’t mean you love the other any less, okay? We know that, baby. You promised us forever, you don’t get to take it back now.”

Logan made a whining, desperate noise in the back of his throat. “Non, Fish-”

“No, Lo, listen to me.” Finn got his knees under himself to sit up. He looked at Leo briefly before turning back to Logan. “If we want all of those things- the house, the kids- we need to make that decision, yes. But right now, for this particular thing, we don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. Okay?”

“Yeah,” Leo agreed gently. “We can ask for an advisor, we can first try to do it without the whole legal marriage thing.” Leo kissed his head. “But if we had to, at some point, we would talk about it, okay? And it’d all be fine.”

But Logan still couldn’t be convinced, and another sob fell from his mouth. “I’m so sorry, I’m making this hard for you-”

“No,” Finn said firmly. “No, you are not. Do you hear me? Okay, listen, Lo. Both of you, listen, please.” He gripped Logan’s cheeks and pressed a hard kiss to his mouth, then to Leo’s. His eyes were firm and loving, and so fiery it was burning Logan up. “I waited for so long to be had by the both of you, even when I didn’t want it, even when I didn’t know it. It was always going to be us because we are supposed to be together forever, do you hear me? Forever.” He laughed, but he was crying slightly, too. “We are married, point blank, period. That piece of paper would be a law, nothing more. And I know that means it’s significant, I don’t want you to think I don’t know that.” He sighed, cupping Logan’s jaw with one hand and reaching up with the other to tangle in Leo’s hair. “But that does not change how much I love you, nor how much you love me, okay? That’s what’s important, that we love each other, and I would choose this life with you over and over again if I could, do you understand? Without a second thought, I would choose the both of you.”

“Me, too,” Leo whispered. Logan tilted his head enough to look at his face, blue eyes lined with red from his tears but not any less beautiful. “You both are everything, and I- I won’t let you go.” He let out a shaky breath and dipped his nose into Logan’s hair, eyes trained on Finn. “I’m not letting you go.”

“Not in a million years, sunshine,” Finn said. He leaned in to kiss Leo gently. “My sunshine baby.”

“Notre soleil.”

Finn ducked down to smile at Logan. “You’re right. Our sunshine.” He breathed deeply. “And you’re ours, too, okay? And I’m yours. I’m all yours, totally, completely yours. You both have me.” He kissed Logan’s forehead gently. “So we are going to figure this out, okay, baby? We will talk to someone, make a plan for the next few years.” Logan felt him smile against his skin. “And maybe we make a plan for the few years after that. Tiny human plans.”

Leo laughed. “Ouais. Tiny human plans.”

Logan hummed. “I like tiny humans.”

“I know you do,” Finn said with a chuckle. “A tiny baby girl, Lo, how’s that sound?”

Leo snorted. “We don’t get to choose their gender.”

“I know,” Finn nodded. His eyes were twinkling. “I just have a feeling.”

“I don’t care who they are,” Logan sighed contentedly. “I just want to love them.” He settled back into Leo and leaned into Finn’s hand that was still cradling his face. “I love you.”

“Love you,” Leo replied. “I love you so much.”

“Forever,” Finn said. He kissed them gently. “I love you forever, and one more forever as well.” He leaned back and slapped his hands against his knees, looking at Logan’s computer on the coffee table. “Now, let’s see what we’re dealing with.”

And in Leo’s warm embrace, with Finn’s chatter in his ear, Logan closed his eyes and tried to imagine a future. A future tomorrow, a future in ten years, a distant future in thirty. And in every single one, the brightest thing he could imagine was that he was in love; deeply, madly, free-fall love with his husbands for forever. He smiled- and, he decided, one more forever, too

I had this idea for headcanons about the Cubs as drivers/passenger princess combos and JUST LISTEN, LISTEN-

Finn driving, Logan as Passenger Princess: This combination doesn't happen often, because Leo's legs are SO LONG that he usually needs to either drive or sit in the front seat, but WHEN IT DOES (usually when Leo is tired and lies down in the back to nap), HOLY MOLY. Finn is a chatterbox all the time, and Logan FEEDS off of his energy. They're debating sports and plays and stuff. Finn talks with his hands and so he's constantly tapping on Logan's thigh to emphasize his point. He also does NOT LIKE the music Logan plays (I feel like this is one thing they have VERY different tastes for that kinda clash), so he's always chirping Logan about that. Logan gets kind of protective over his snacks, but shares with Finn anyway (cue: AGGRESSIVE SIDE EYE). Finn always thanks him with a smile and at every red light he leans over and kisses Logan's cheek to remind him that, though they may be debating and discussing stuff in the car, it really isn't that serious and he just loves Logan so so so much. He feels so lucky that, after everything, he gets to share these domestic moments with him.

Logan driving, Finn as Passenger Princess: Pretty much the same: debating, discussing, but this time Logan is demanding snacks. He's a BIG skin-to-skin guy, so he loves when he drives in the summer and his boys are in SHORTS and he can place his hand on Finn's (or Leo's) bare thigh. Finn still talks with his hands, but this time he's playing with Logan's fingers. Logan doesn't hate Finn's music as much as Finn hates Logan's, so it's a bit calmer on that front. In this situation and the one above, directions are CHAOTIC. Both of them are kinda bad at it.

Leo driving, Finn as Passenger Princess: Finn is HORRIBLE at giving directions and focusing, and Leo NEEDS to know the next step he needs to take on the route when he completes the previous, and needs ample notification time before the upcoming step. Finn gets SO distracted and could be looking at the directions and be like: "Uh, okay, so it says here- oh! You got a text from Reg, it says-" "Sweetheart, directions." "Right, right, sorry, sunshine." *To apologize, Finn begins pressing kisses to the back of Leo's hand and gets distracted again.* "Finn." "Right! Sorry." Leo is also a big palm-on-thigh guy, and lets Finn just fiddle with his fingers the whole time. He's Finn's very own fidget toy. When Leo has to back up, he rests his hand on Finn's headrest to look behind him and Finn SWOONS. His sunshine has nice biceps. Finn is weirdly obsessed with the Les Mis soundtrack and absolutely BELTS it out. Logan groans but finds it so endearing, and Leo sings along happily under his breath.

Leo driving, Logan as Passenger Princess: This combination mostly happens at night, because Finn CANNOT stay awake at the wheel, and Logan is half sleepy, but insomniac sunshine can drive just fine. Logan always chooses one of Leo's soft, acoustic playlists to listen to because they relax him. It's quiet, with Finn conked out in the back seat, and LeLo just sit in each other's silence mostly, or quietly murmur to one another. Leo has to prompt Logan for directions every now and then, but that's mostly because Logan is too busy watching how the streetlights reflect off of his skin and listening to his soft voice sing along to the music. Leo's hand is on Logan's thigh the whole time, and sometimes up scratching at his hair. Logan takes it and kisses it or even leans across the console to kiss his cheek. He ALSO SWOONS when Leo backs the car up and is known for taking a nice bite of Leo's bicep every now and then.

FinnorLogan driving and Leo as a Passenger Princess: Leo Knut is the PERFECT Passenger Princess. Directions? Three steps ahead with exact mileage and periodic check-ins with ample notification time. Snacks? Has the exact ones that FinnLo like and his own, which he brings slightly extra of because his boyfriends ALWAYS ask for some because what's his is theirs. Definitely brings an extra designated 'Driver Water Bottle' with a small nozzle so Finn/Logan can drink without spilling on themselves, and then ANOTHER extra water bottle because whoever isn't driving DEFINITELY forgot theirs (he then has his own small-nozzled Nalgene with a straw inside and a Lions Pride sticker on the outside, and it is HIS). Music? Has a nice rotation of songs that each of them likes. He plays a Finn-song, a Lo-song, and a Le-song, then starts the process over again so everyone stays relatively happy. Conversation? He is whatever they need him to be. He's avidly engaged with Finn and lets him tap on his thigh all he needs, and then he's quietly chatting with Logan, covering the Logan's hand on his thigh with his own because Logan loves the feeling of warm skin against his. AC? This man has it DOWN. Always has his own seat-heater on and his personal AC set to approximately 72 degrees; Finn's is set to approximately 68, with the seat heater on low in the winter; and Logan's is a FREEZING 62, even in the winter, and he NEVER has a seat heater on. Leo knows his Weighted Blanket Boy is HOTHOTHOT (in many ways). Overall, 100000000000/10 Passenger Princess, the best in the biz. FinnLo love him so much. <3

I feel like I can so see Finn getting so frustrated when they are married and all live together again when they have to separate for longer than a day he gives the vibes that he would be like

“You want me to sleep alone??? Sleep without my husbands??? Isn’t that illegal???”

Oh, this man is such a lost puppy when he has to sleep without them. I think he just kinda wanders around the house talking to himself (or to a special fluffy stuffed duck who will be making a reappearance). Like, he comes home from work and stands in the living room like: Okay. Hubbies not here. What do I do?

Then he ends up reheating leftovers or making himself pasta and watching his husbands play their game and IMMEDIATELY conks out. Like, dead to the world asleep. And then he wakes up, runs, goes to work, comes back, and POOF! HUBBIES ARE HOME AGAIN!!!!!!! And he does a little happy dance.

Logan breathed in harshly as their alarm sounded, stretching with a grunt. He winced as his back cracked. He heard Leo let out a sound and felt the bed move as he turned the alarm off. Between them, Finn let out a protesting sound. He buried his nose further in Logan’s neck and squeezed him tighter. “No.”

“Hm,” Leo sighed with a soft laugh. He rolled over and pressed slow kisses to Finn’s neck. “We gotta go, baby.”

“No, you don’t,” Finn whined. “Hockey is stupid.”

“Ouais, so stupid,” Logan agreed drily. He wrapped his arms around Finn’s shoulders and kissed his red waves.

Leo stood and stretched, crossing over to the closet and taking out some clothes for himself and Logan. “Lo, did you pack clothes for tomorrow?”

“No he didn’t, because he’s not leaving,” Finn said. “And neither are you.”

Leo turned and smiled, head tilted and gazing at them fondly. “We’re sorry, honey. Tampa is calling.”

Finn groaned. “It’s Saturday. Snuggle Saturday.” He looked up at Logan and pouted. “You won’t leave me, will you?”

Logan kissed his forehead gently. “Just for a day, rouge.”

“Yeah,” Leo agreed. “We literally fly back late tonight, we’ll have the whole day tomorrow together.”

“But I said no. They can’t steal you from me, you’re my husbands.”

“They’re not stealing us, rouge,” Logan placated, running his hands through Finn’s hair. “We’re just going on a little trip.”

“But you’ll be so far away. We finally get you back, and then you and Le have to leave me. Stupid NHL,” he scoffed. “Stupid NHL making me sleep without my husbands.”

“Oui, c'est tragique.” Logan made to move, but Finn let his weight go heavy on top of him. “Finn,” Logan laughed.

Finn just grumbled under his breath into Logan’s chest.

“Lo, sweetheart,” Leo said. He came over and brushed Logan’s hair out of his face and kissed his temple. He was in his gameday suit. “It’s almost four, we’ve gotta go soon. I’ve got breakfast sandwiches all wrapped up.”

Finn reached up and grabbed onto Leo’s bicep. “No.”

“Yeah, baby.”

“No, baby.”

Leo sighed exasperatedly and kissed Finn on the mouth briefly. “I love you.”

Logan got a nice view of their gorgeous faces when Finn pressed their foreheads together. He kissed each of their cheeks and rubbed Finn’s back. “Mon mari, I have something for you.”

Finn looked at him with surprised brown eyes. “You do?”

“Mhm.” Logan sat up with a grunt, Finn following and rubbing his eyes with the heel of his hand. Logan kissed his cheek and stood, walking to their dresser. He searched for a minute before smiling. He turned and held up the stuffed duck.

Finn smiled. “Charlie?”

“Ouais.” Logan caught Leo’s twinkling eyes then walked back to the bed. He held Charlie up and wiggled him in front of Finn’s face. “Salut, mon rouge,” he said in a high pitched voice.

Leo and Finn burst out laughing, loud in the quiet early morning. Logan smiled satisfactorily as Finn took Charlie gently in his hands. He kissed the F+L over Charlie’s heart and smiled up at Logan. “Thank you.”

Logan leaned down to kiss him slowly. “He helped me on lonely nights away from you. I thought he could help you, too.”

Long arms wrapped around his waist and warm lips kissed his jaw. “Maybe I can sew on another L,” Leo whispered.

Finn bit his lip around a grin. “I’d like that.” He hugged the duck to his chest and looked up at them through his eyelashes. “I still think it’s stupid that the NHL makes us sleep in separate beds, though.”

“Well,” Leo said. “I think we can all agree on that one.” He rubbed his palms up and down Logan’s abs. “It’s time sweetheart.”

Logan changed into his gameday suit, standing still dutifully as Leo put some pomade in his hair to tame his bedhead. Finn was still obviously begrudged by the whole situation; he always had his arms wrapped around one of their waists. He did, however, carry Charlie the whole time, which Logan took as a good sign. He didn’t like the thought of Finn lonely in their bed.

“Okay,” Leo finally said around four-thirty. He was standing with their bags by the front door. “Time to go, flight is in a couple hours.” He cupped Finn’s jaw gently in his hands and kissed him. “I love you. We’ll be home before you know it.”

“Love you,” Finn whispered. He adjusted Charlie in the crook of his elbow and yawned with a sound akin to a puppy. “Can we sew Charlie tomorrow?”

Leo smiled. “Of course we can.” He kissed Finn once more and opened the door. “Bye, sweetheart.”

“Bye.”

Logan shouldered his own bag and stepped into Finn’s space, lifting up his shirt with one hand to feel the warm skin of his torso. He rubbed his other thumb over the purple skin under Finn’s eyes. “Please go back to bed for a bit, mon coeur.”

Finn shook his head with another yawn. “Gonna go for a run then get some coffee with Celeste. Then I’ll go to bed early tonight after your game, and then you’ll be back. Call me first, though, as soon as you can after the game finishes. Can’t sleep without hearing your voices.”

Logan shook his head fondly. Finn was so chatty, even this early in the morning. “Mon rouge.” He kissed him in slow draws. “Je t’aime.”

“I love you. Have a good game.”

Logan kissed him once more and took Leo’s outstretched hand. Finn leaned against the doorway and watched them walk down the hallway, Charlie in his arms. Finn took one of his little plush wings in between his delicate fingers and waved it at them with a smile. He put on a high pitched voice like Logan had. “Love you!”

Leo laughed and blew a kiss. “Love you, too, Charlie.”

Logan squeezed Leo’s hand and waved back. “Je t’aime.”

Finn sent them one last smile as the elevator closed behind them. When they were alone, Logan leaned heavily into Leo’s side with a sigh.

“You okay, honey?”

“Ouais.” He turned his face into Leo’s sleeve. “Just miss him.”

“Me, too.” Leo kissed his temple. “We can call him before nap time after morning skate, then after the game before we get back on the plane. How does that sound?”

“Mhm, good.” Logan stood on his toes to kiss Leo gently just as the doors opened. “Je t’aime.”

Leo smiled against his mouth. “I love you, too.” He tugged Logan’s hand gently, and Logan let the warmth of Leo’s being fill him up to the brim, even on a cold October morning. “C’mon, mon mari, I’ll drive.”

This was something I wrote ages ago, so have a gift!

I am still working on the prompts, but keep them coming!

“Tremblay, what have you done this time?”

Logan knew that Cecilia, his manager, was being sarcastic, but her eyebrows still raised warily as he stepped into her office. She was fairly new still, and Logan liked her a lot. Martin had recommended her upon his retirement two years ago, and she had been nothing but efficient and helpful- but Logan couldn’t deny that he did cause her a little trouble. He winced internally at the memory of the time he had gotten into a brutal fight with an L.A. Kings player who’d said something about Leo, who was out with a hamstring injury at the time. He’d implied an unsavory way in which Leo could have gotten that injury, and Logan had immediately lost it.

He had woken up to a message from Cecilia saying Impressed, but really? with some photos attached that had circulated Twitter. They weren’t anything incriminating, just annoying, but they had required he attend a conference regarding his ‘attack dog tendencies’, as Finn so loveingly called them. Needless to say, however, Cecilia had not been impressed, and he had bought her some really nice chocolates as a thank you for clearing up the misudnerstanding.

He closed the door behind him. “Hi, Cece, how are you?”

She brought her shoulder-length micro-braids up in a twist. “Depends on what you have to say to me Logan.” Her voice was serious, but her expression was teasing. “Have a seat, hon.”

That was another thing that Logan liked about Cecilia. She was no-nonesense, but she was unbearably kind. Her wife, Leanna, played for the New York Sirens, so she was knowledgeable not only about the hockey world, but about how to exist as a queer player within it. Sometimes, if Logan was particularly lonely, he would ask them to go out for a beer, or Leanna would cook for them in their apartment. It felt good to have friends here in New York- even if they sometimes just reminded what he was missing back in Gryffindor.

Which was why he was here today.

He sat down in front of her desk, looking at the picture of her and Leanna when the Sirens won the Walter Cup the previous year. It made him smile and remember that first Stanley Cup he had won with his boys, just about seven years previous. He remembered the parties, and the handshakes, and the hugs from his parents and sisters- but he mostly remembered feeling high and in love on top of it all, the newness of it all. He still felt like that- he’d definitely felt that when they had gotten married two years previous.

And that’s why now he felt it was time to end that feeling of separation, of sadness. The day after they lost in the Conference Finals less than a week ago, he had called to set up a meeting with Cecilia. His boys were still sleeping when he left, and he had left a note saying he was going to meet up with the team for a final good-bye before they all went their separate ways for the summer. In reality, he had nervously driven here, to Cecilia’s office, hoping he was going to be able to convince her to free him from the box that had weighed down on all their shoulders for years.

Logan looked up to Cecilia. “I want to leave New York.”

She didn’t even flinch, just folded her hands on her lap and nodded for him to continue.

He took a deep breath. “I just- I appreciate everything the Rangers have done for me. And, ouais, d’accord, it could have been a lot worse.” He sighed, suddenly nervous. “And I am… grateful it hasn’t been worse, but- but I think it’s time for me to go.

“I really just,” he started again, then realized he was tearing up. He wiped his nose on his sleeve. “I really miss my husbands. And we made a plan together three years ago that, at the end of mine and Leo’s contracts, we would renegotiate together.” Logan looked at Cecilia, trying to look sure of himself. “So I want to go back to the Lions. Or- or I retire.” He rolled his eyes. “Mais, non, I won’t retire.” He squinted, though, thinking. “Second option is Leo coming here. Which is… fine. But if that’s not happening, then I retire.”

To his surprise, Cecilia just smiled. “I was hoping you’d say that,” she said. She shuffled around in her desk, pulling out a file. “Leo called me last week, and basically said the same thing.” She raised her eyebrows at him. “Although, he didn’t threaten me with retirement.”

Logan flushed with a small smile. “Non, don’t tell them I did that. I think that was just in the moment.”

She laughed. “And I don’t know why it’s a threat to me exactly, but you especially made it seem like that.”

Logan cocked his head, smile challenging. “Well, me retiring means you lose a salary, non?”

Cecilia just snorted. “Tremblay, I’ve got plenty enough clients. You’re not that special, sorry.” She settled down, her expression turning soft. “In all honesty, I’m happy you came to me. No offense, but I can only take so much more of your sad eyes looking at my wife and I in our kitchen cooking you dinner when you have a perfectly capable chef for a husband waiting for you at home.”

Logan laughed, then sat up straighter, suddenly. “What do you mean- waiting for me at home?”

Cecilia grinned slyly. “I had the privilege of having a chat with Arthur Weasley the other day.” She took out a piece of paper from the folder, sliding it over to him. “He’s excited to be welcoming you back for training camp in August.”

Logan just stared at her for a second, then at the papers. There in front of him was his name, a number with a dollar sign- he didn’t care what it was, honestly, they had plenty of money. But he’d been waiting for this moment for so long he didn’t know what to do with himself.

He looked back up at Cecilia. “I thought- I thought it’d be a lot harder to negotiate this, if I’m honest.”

She just shrugged. “Trust me, I’ve got my magical ways.” She leaned over, resting on her forearms. “But I think it’s time that you call your boys. Or, better yet-” She looked at her watch, then nodded at the door. “I’ve got a couple of guys out there waiting for my next appointment, if you want to let them in.”

Logan’s eyes widened, then he bolted out of his chair and ripped open the door. Leo jumped slightly in the chair he was sitting in- he made it seem so small. Finn, beside him, was gripping Leo’s thigh in surprise, then furrowed his brow when he saw Logan. He stood. “Lo? Baby, what-?”

But Logan was just laughing, walking over in a couple strides to grab Finn’s neck and bring him down for a hard, happy kiss. Finn made a noise as he relaxed into Logan’s hold and wrapped his arms around his waist. Logan pulled away when he felt Leo’s hand on his hip, turning to kiss him, too. Logan was squished in between his two boys, warm and happy and finally going home.

“Lo,” Leo said against his lips. “Lo, Logan, sweetheart. What’s going on?”

Logan pressed one more hard kiss to his lips before pulling away. Finn and Leo were both flushed but still surprised, gripping him hard around his waist and hips as they looked down at him. They looked so funny to Logan in that moment that he had to just laugh.

Finn, smiling confusedly, just squeezed his ribs a little bit. “Lo, baby, what’s happening?”

Logan leaned in to look in his eyes, noses brushing. “Looks like number ten is going to be back on Gryffindor ice.”

Leo made a choked gasping sound behind him and Finn’s eyes widened.

“No,” Finn said, mouth splitting into a smile. “No fucking way!”

Logan was nodding, then Finn was gripping his face hard and pulling him into a deep kiss. Leo wrapped his arms harder around Logan’s ribs, lips against his neck. “Oh, Lo,” Leo whispered, voice a little shaky. “Oh, God.”

Logan broke away from Finn, who just pressed a few sloppy kisses to his face, laughing, before he turned to Leo. “Ouais, ouais, soleil.”

“Oh my God,” Leo said again.

Logan realized that Leo was crying. “Sh, sh, soleil,” he shushed, pressing kisses to Leo’s red cheeks. “Don’t cry. Sh, non, don’t cry, c’est bien.”

Leo laughed. “I’m not sad, God, no.” He kissed Logan hard and short in that way he only did when he was deliriously happy. “I’m just so happy, Lo. Oh-”

He stopped himself, wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist to lift him into a hard hug, Logan’s feet leaving the ground. Logan laughed as he looped his own arms around Leo’s neck. Finn came up behind them and placed his hands gently on Logan’s hips, coaxing Logan’s legs around Leo’s waist. He began to press hard kisses to the back of Logan’s hair and the top of Leo’s head, which was resting in the curve of where Logan’s shoulder met his neck. They were all smiling hard into each other’s skin and laughing a little.

“Fuck,” Finn said giddly. “Fuck, ten. This is so good, what the hell.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. “Ouais, I’m coming home.”

Leo whined a little into Logan’s neck and Logan shushed him again. “Sh, sh, soleil.”

“Sorry,” Leo said, pulling back. Logan wiped away the tears on his rosy cheeks, and Finn leaned around briefly to kiss his lips. “Sorry, it’s just- it’s just been really hard without you.”

Logan nodded in understanding. He’d thought it would be harder on Finn to be apart, especially considering the beginning when Logan left. He knew that he had partially manifested Finn’s worst fear of one of them leaving, but they’d moved past that ages ago. To all of their surprise, including his own, it had been Leo who had had the most difficult time with the separation. He frequently didn’t sleep well and would sometimes get into these funks where he would be sad and nostalgic for days. It checked out, Logan guessed- Leo had always missed his home more than most people, more than Logan or Finn. And just when they had established a home together in Gryffindor all those years ago, Logan had been traded to New York. For him, within two years he had left one home and had one taken away from him, or at least for the nine months of the year that they played hockey.

Logan and Finn had gotten a lot better at dealing with Leo’s times of spaciness. Normally, he needed to be held by Finn and to call Logan. Finn would read to them, or he would fall asleep to Finn and Logan’s talking. Leo just loved their voices- Logan could relate. He took numerous videos every time he came home and savoured every voice message they sent him, just to rewatch or relisten to them constantly when they were apart. It had gotten easier once Finn had retired and he was able to visit on weekends or travel with Leo to New York, but it definitely stung that Leo was at the mercy of the NHL schedule and his time with Logan was more limited.

Now, though, hopefully Leo wouldn’t feel that way ever again.

They were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. Logan looked over Leo’s shoulder to see Cecilia standing by her office door with her arms folded. Her eyebrows were raised, but her eyes were teasing. “Not that this isn’t sweet, boys, but I believe it isn’t official under Mr. Tremblay signs some papers.”

They all laughed.

“Sorry, Cece,” Finn said, helping Logan down from Leo’s hold. They followed her into her office. Finn took Leo’s hand as Logan approached the desk. “We’re just excited, I think.”

“I know,” she replied, placing a pen on top of Logan’s contract. “Been a long time coming, huh?”

Leo shrugged. “Yeah, but you understand how it is more than anyone.”

She nodded. “Yeah, the constant traveling and being apart does take its toll on anyone.” She reached out to ruffle Logan’s hair playfully. “But this one called me all stubborn the other day, so I figured I could do something about that.”

Finn snorted. “That’s one way to describe him.”

Logan tisked his tongue, but signed his signature to the dotted line. When he was finished, he looked up to find everyone else smiling at him.

“Well,” Cecilia sighed. “Looks like I’ll be seeing a lot less of your face around here, Logan. Phone calls only.” She narrowed her eyes. “Unless you cause any more trouble.”

Finn laughed, wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist and pressing a harsh kiss and a bite to Logan’s sharp jaw. “Don’t worry, Cece. He’ll be very good, promise.”

“Finn,” Leo chastised.

But Cecilia just laughed. “Okay, O’Hara. You can continue that at home.” She walked around her desk, and Logan met her for a hard hug. “I’m very happy for you Logan.” She pulled back and put her hands on his shoulders. “And any time you’re back in the city, you’re always welcome over for dinner. All of you.”

“Merci, Cecilia,” Logan said. “Thanks for- for everything.”

She just patted his shoulder softly. “My pleasure, you know that.” She turned to Leo and Finn. “Come here, you two. Then you be on your way- gotta pack up that New York apartment, I imagine.”

Leo and Finn hugged her with bright smiles and a ‘thank you’ each before she was ushering them out the door.

“I’ll get this contract processed ASAP, Logan, and then I’ll call you when it’s finalized.” She stopped, resting her body against her office door. “But as far as I know, you’re all good to go back to Gryff.”

“Merci beaucoup,” Logan said, hugging her once more. “À bientôt.”

“Nos vemos,” she replied, stepping back. “Off you go boys. Give me a call when you’re back in the city.” And with a final wave, she closed her office door behind her.

Now in the silent hallway, Logan turned to his two boys, who were looking at him expectantly. “Quoi?”

Leo raised his eyebrows. “Seemed like a fun meeting with your team.”

Logan rolled his eyes. “It was going to be a surprise.”

Leo took him under an arm as they started to walk. “And what if it hadn’t worked out?”

Logan shrugged. “That wasn’t going to happen.”

Leo snorted.

“Non,” Logan said. “I wasn’t going to let it happen.” He briefly took the hand Leo had over his shoulder and kissed the back of it before letting it go limp against him again. “I’ve spent enough time away from you. Not anymore.”

Finn just took his hand and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Agreed, ten.” He grinned. “Feels so good to call you that again and have it be true.”

Logan laughed. “I thought I always was your ten?”

“Well,” Finn said. “You’re a ten outta ten, if that’s what you’re wondering.” He winked at Leo. “You, too, sunshine.”

Leo just blushed as they entered the elevator and he pushed the button for the parking garage. “You think you’re so clever, Fish.”

“You surely thought that last night when I-”

“Finn.”

Finn was still laughing when the elevator doors opened for them. Logan walked to his car, then realized they were following him. “Where’s your car?” he asked.

Leo kissed his head. “We walked to breakfast then took the subway here.”

“Hey Le,” Finn interrupted, taking Logan’s keys from him. “I’ll drive, if you wanna blow Logan in the backseat.”

Logan straightened as Leo spluttered. “Finn!” Leo whisper-shouted. His eyes were wide and a bit admonishing, but his adorable cheeks were flushing steadily. “What is up with you today?”

Finn smirked at him and kissed his cheek. “Don’t pretend like you don’t like it.” He chirped the car to unlock it. “Besides, I’m just basking in the love.” He paused. “And if you give me a show and blow Lo in the backseat, maybe I’ll blow you when we get home.”

Logan hummed. “Maybe?”

Finn winked. “Definitely, baby. I’ll blow you both, if you wanna go again, Tremz. Maybe do a little bit more than blow you, if that’s what you want.”

Logan blinked hard. “Ouais. Ouais, yeah, let’s go.”

Finn opened the back door, and Logan gently ushered a blushing Leo into the backseat and closed the door behind them.

Leo shifted as Logan followed and they buckled themselves in. “You’re sure lucky that these windows have shades we can put up, Fish.”

“Counting on it, butter.” He climbed in the driver’s side, adjusting the rearview window. Logan could see his brown eyes in the reflection. “Let’s get going boys. Gonna be a long drive with the midday traffic. You might as well make the most of it.”

Logan smiled at Leo’s flushed skin and Finn’s sharp grin as he leaned over to kiss Leo. Their mouths moved together and he could tell Finn was watching them in the mirror with the way he started cursing. Leo’s body was warm, his hands were working on Logan’s shorts zipper, and Finn was praising them from the front seat- Logan was so high on their sounds and their bodies he almost didn’t know what to do with himself. And, best of all, underneath the teasing words and the heated touches, there always was the love. The beautiful, soul-encompassing love that his boys gave him all day, every day, whether together or apart. But now, that distance was being crossed, hopefully never to part them again.

Logan smiled against Leo’s mouth, reached for Finn’s hand to squeeze it. He couldn’t wait to go home.

GOOD LUCK to all of you still finishing your finals!! <3

whenever you don’t post for a few days I just know you’re cooking up something IMMACULATE

BAHAHAHAHA you're so funny for this! That is very sweet of you to say. <3

Part of it is so I can space out my posting and have consistent content for you guys. I actually have a lot written, but don't post it every day to 1) give it time to circulate and get read by people- my posts get more engagement if I leave a few days in between each one (I have no idea why, I'm so bad with algorithm know-how, so beats me), 2) because I would rather give you all consistent content spread out with a few days in between then bombard you with a week's worth with one every day and then leave you hanging BECAUSE, 3) I am actually in the middle of a multi-month trip! I don't have my computer, so everything that you have read for the past couple of months has been written on my phone, which just takes so much longer (I type on a computer SO MUCH FASTER than on my phone). I get back home in March sometime, so it will be easier to write with my laptop, but for now it's all being written on my phone in the spare moments I have on planes and buses, or at my lodging.

I do still LOVE seeing your requests, and I PROMISE to get to each and every one. It just might take some time, so thank you for being patient with me! :)

I really do appreciate all of you that read, comment, and reblog. I read every single message you send me, and this has been such an incredible creative outlet for me during a period in my life where I've been having to do some community building. I'm of the belief that if art can even positively impact a few people, it deserves to be shared. So while my following and engagement might not be large, I still care for you all deeply and am so grateful you have chosen to read my work.

As a queer person, it gives me such fulfillment to write queer stories with an emphasis on gentle love and companionship, which is something that we struggle with even in the lgbtqia+ community, and people outside of the community CERTAINLY have trouble seeing our love that way. I try to be good representation, but I also remind you to engage with other queer media as well (eg: BIPOC queer media, trans and nonbinary media, Latine queer media, aro media, aspec media, intersex media, lesbian media, disabled queer media, Muslim queer media, Jewish queer media, etc.). I try to include characters that fall into those categories when I can, because the world around us is not a vacuum and is beautifully diverse, but these communities deserve to be the center of the story! I also choose to write O'Knutzy/lumosinlove fics because I LOVE queer representation in hockey and have loved the sport since I was little, but I am a lesbian, so I do feel a sort of lacking even within the universe I choose to base my fics on. And, unfortunately, wlw/genderbent wlw fics generally are not as popular because they don't "sell"- it's a combination of misogyny/sexism and the fetishization of mlm relationships. The only genderbent cubs AU fic that I wrote had some of the worst engagement, which was a bit disappointing, because it was inspired by @fruitcoops's PWHL AU fics that I ADORED (please also go and follow the PWHL! They are AMAZING, and there are many that ARE queer, so it is great representation, something which the MNHL is still lacking in many respects, even with Pride Nights)! I had a think, and I will be writing and posting some more PWHL Cubs AUs because it makes me happy to write them. But, we should also be engaging with originally wlw content, NOT just genderbent! So please go engage with queer authors of all intersections in AND outside of fanfic (yes, this means go read books and support individual authors!). Representation is out there, and I encourage you to critically engage with it!

Anyways, I've said my piece! I hope you all have a lovely evening!

sorry to add another prompt to your probably really long list but I was wondering if you could write something based on a thought I had the other day:

So basically was just thinking about how Finn and Logan are best friends and know everything about each other probably and I just thought it would be cute to see them learning things that maybe they didn’t know about Leo maybe they learn that he is a super fan of something or that he played a different sport besides hockey in highschool (maybe soccer or baseball?) or they learn that he can sing or do something else crazy idk. Just a little something of them learning more about him because I know a lot of people think him being the newest in the relationship is something he should be insecure about but I actually think it’s really beautiful that he has two people who fall in love with him and immediately want to know everything about him:)))

I’m just realizing this is word vomit but I’ll send it anyway lol thank you so much!!!

This was an AMAZING excuse to finally bring to life this headcanon I have about Leo, oh my gooooooooooosh!!!!!!! I have this idea that his entire family is really good at team sports. Like, Finn is good at running, obvs, and Logan is a lifting champ, but for Leo, sports in general just come so naturally, kind of the same as Captain Sirius Black. Basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball- it doesn't matter, he picks it up super quick. I also think his parents are big sports fans, so he is as well!

So have the Knut family (and Adele Dumais) absolutely tearing it up on the diamond, and Finn and Logan trying with all their might to REAL IN their adoration and surprise (and maybe conceal the fact that they are hot and bothered by Leo's competence, too). ;)

All credits to @lumosinlove !!

“Okay, team,” Finn said. “Bring it in, let’s go.”

He wrapped an arm around Logan and Louis’s shoulders as they all huddled in a circle. It had been Coach’s idea, a family softball game to start the summer, fifteen and older all welcome on the field. It was a mix of parents, siblings, children and players. There were even some veteran players; Hope Lupin, Celeste Dumais, and Thomas’ mom, Chelsea, had dusted off their old softball gloves from college and were on the opposing team. Finn knew it was all for fun, but he was going to keep his eye on them anyways.

“Okay,” he said, leaning his head in. “This is just for fun, remember that… but we also want to win.” He looked around the circle. “A lot of you have siblings, parents, partners, or children on the other team, but that doesn’t mean you go any easier on them, okay?” He looked at Louis and Pascal first, then at Eloise. “We are not letting Celeste and Adele beat us out, or Leo. Or my brother. I’ll never hear the end of it.”

“Ouais,” Sirius agreed. He had his focus face on. “Remus is going down.”

“Geez,” Natalie said. “Your love sure is loud, Captain.”

Sirius turned bright red. “If I lose I have to cook dinner for a week.”

“And there it is,” Natalie laughed. She turned to Kasey. “Should’ve made a bet with Alexander.”

Kasey snorted. “Absolutely not, he is way too competitive.” He nodded to Finn. “We’re all ready.”

“Okay, hands in!” They all slapped their hands in the middle of the circle. Finn nodded his head satisfactorily. “Team on three, one, two, three…”

“Team!”

Finn slapped Logan’s back and rested his other arm over Eloise’s shoulder. “How we feeling, team? Ready to kick some nutter butter butt?”

Eloise looked at him in amusement. “I wouldn’t underestimate him, honey.”

Finn raised his eyebrows. “What’s that supposed to mean?” When she just shrugged and walked away, he turned to look at Logan frantically. “Lo, what did she mean?”

Logan ran a hand through Finn’s hair. “I’m sure it’s nothing, mon coeur. She just likes to mess with you.”

Finn nodded. “Right, right. Cool, okay, I’m good.”

Logan smiled and kissed his sweaty cheek. “Relax, rouge. It’s just a game.”

“A game that I am not losing. I’ve got my boyfriend and my brother on the other team. This is bragging rights on the line, Lo.”

“D’accord.” Logan soothed him with another kiss. “D’accord, baby, let’s go play.”

They were batting first, and Finn watched on bouncing toes as Pascal stepped up to the plate, eyes scanning the field. The outfield was composed of only hockey players- Alex, the tallest, at center; Remus in left field; Thomas in right. The infield was mostly people that actually played softball- Celeste at third, Chelsea at shortstop, Hope at second. Adele, who Pascal had said had a wicked vertical jump height was at first, eyes focused and narrowed at her father. Wyatt, almost as tall as his son, was laughing with Pascal at the plate, catcher’s uniform snuggly fitting his frame. Finn knew he’d be tricky. He played in an adult league, but so did Eloise, so Finn figured they were fairly evenly matched. On the mound, scanning the field with his devastatingly gorgeous blue eyes, stood the only non-softball player in the infield, who also happened to be Finn and Logan’s most beautiful muse and biggest competition. It was a curious choice, putting someone who didn’t play the game in as pitcher, but Finn sucked in a nervous breath anyways when Leo caught him staring and winked.

“He’s just playing with you, Freckle.”

Finn turned to look at Natalie. “He’s up to something.”

She just sighed. “Let’s go, get your bat and warm up. You’re up next.”

Finn stood in the warm up box, idly swinging his bat between his hands. Layla blew her whistle, dressed in a black umpire uniform, and crouched behind Wyatt. Dumo raised his bat. He yelled something in French at Leo, who laughed before turning sideways and readying himself. Finn watched Wyatt make a motion with his hand, and his throat closed up. His eyes flicked to Leo, who just nodded before winding his arm back. Between one moment and the next, the ball had left his fingers in a perfect underhand and before Pascal could even blink it was flying straight over the plate and into the back of Wyatt’s glove.

“Shit,” Finn said, eyes wide. “Oh fuck.”

“I told you honey,” Eloise said, patting his arm. “Don’t underestimate him.”

“Jesus Christ, Knut!” Thomas called from the outfield. “The fuck was that, you absolute beauty!”

Leo just smiled a little sheepishly and caught the ball his dad tossed him. Pascal was shaking himself out and readying for another pitch. He came close with his swing, but there was still the satisfying slap of the ball in Wyatt’s mitt.

“Rouge.” Logan placed a hand on his lower back. “Rouge.”

Finn hung his head back with a groan and turned to face Logan. “We’re so screwed. Where the hell did he learn to pitch like that?”

Logan just looked at him. He had that determined expression on his face that he sometimes got when he was faced with genuine competition. He huffed out a breath and took Finn’s shirt in his hands and brought their faces close together. “Don’t let him scare you. You’ve got this, rouge.”

Finn tapped his helmet gently onto Logan’s head. “Got it, ten.”

There was another slapping sound and some whoops, and Pascal dejectedly walked back to the dugout. His face was amused, though. “Mon fil,” he said to Logan, slapping his back as he walked by. “That boy of yours can play.”

Logan just hung his head back with a huff. He smacked Finn’s butt and then gently shoved him toward the plate. “Allez, rouge.”

Finn would be lying if he said he wasn’t a little nervous as he stepped up to the plate. Layla and Wyatt were laughing when he stepped up, and Layla looked at him with teasing eyes. “Looks like your lover boy has quite the arm.”

“Don’t fucking remind me.” He bounced a little and turned to Wyatt. “Where the hell did he learn to play like that?”

Wyatt laughed at him. “He played when he was little, but then he’d play in mine and Eloise’s league during the spring and summer when he could.” He looked fondly at his son. “He’s good, isn’t he?”

Finn narrowed his eyes. “Mhm.”

He ignored Wyatt’s chuckle and set his feet, eyes on Leo on the pitcher’s mound. Leo was already looking back at him with mischievous blue eyes. Finn shook his head. He couldn’t get distracted.

Leo’s expression turned serious before he hid his mouth and nose behind his glove. He nodded minutely, presumably at his father, before shifting. Finn took a deep breath and braced his shoulders.

The first pitch went right down the pipe, making a whistling sound as it passed by. Finn had been shocked when he saw the first pitch Pascal had taken, but it was nothing compared to actually being at the plate and experiencing it. Finn let out a surprised sound and stumbled back a bit.

“C’mon Harz!”

“Allez, Finn!”

He rolled out his shoulders and neck before stepping back up to the plate. This time, he timed his swing, and the ball bounced off his bat with a satisfying thwack! He dropped his bat and ran, but he was only halfway down the baseline before he watched the ball land efficiently in Adele’s glove on a throw from Chelsea, her foot sturdy on the plate. He groaned as he ran through. Adele just grinned at him and tossed the ball back to Leo. “Better luck next time, Finn.”

“Ha-ha.” He flicked her hat brim down before jogging back down the baseline. “Hey Knut! The fuck is up with that?”

Leo just played innocent and shrugged with a devious little smile. Finn hated that it made him look gorgeous.

Back at the dugout, Logan was waiting for him with his arms crossed and an intense look on his face. He winced when he saw Finn. “It’s all right, rouge.”

Finn huffed. “They’re all fucking all-stars or some shit. I thought this was supposed to be a fun game.”

Eloise laughed as she passed by, bat swinging in her hands. “Don’t take it so seriously, honey. You’ll be fine.” Then she was stepping up to the plate.

They cheered her on from the dugout, Sirius and Louis leading the charge and shaking the fence. They both had the same intense expression on their faces as Logan. It was clear they were all surprised by the advanced skills on the other team.

Finn and Logan stood close, shoulders touching as they watched Eloise tap her husband’s helmet playfully before sobering up, raising her bat. Leo smiled briefly before once again hiding his face with his mitt, blue eyes intense. The routine was the same: the settling of his feet, his arm winding up, the ball leaving his hands at an impressive speed, flying down the middle-

None of them were expecting the resounding crack of Eloise’s bat against the ball that sent it sailing over Leo’s head and into the outfield.

“Holy shit!” Finn yelled. He bounced up and down, cheering with the rest of their team. “Yeah, Eloise!”

She ran fast, clearing first and heading for second. Thomas had recovered the ball and threw it, landing it in Hope’s waiting glove just after Eloise’s foot touched the base.

“Allez!” Sirius yelled. He was smiling gleefully now. “Double, Eloise, allez!”

“Holy shit,” Finn whispered to Logan. “Our in-laws are softball wizards or some shit.”

“Ouais,” Logan said back. He sighed and rolled his neck. “Allez, I’m up.”

Finn smacked his butt. “Go get ‘em.”

Logan ended up hitting a single into center field, Alex just mistiming the throw, and Adele caught it a second after Logan’s foot hit the base. He let out a shout and patted her head in celebration, and she just shoved him playfully, spewing what Finn assumed was some vulgar French trash talk, if the way her mother reprimanded her was anything to go by. She huffed, but threw the ball back to Leo. Finn scanned the field; Logan’s hit had advanced Eloise to third. They just needed one more hit and she’d be home.

“Okay,” Finn said. He patted Sirius’ shoulders as he went to step up to the plate. “Okay, Cap, you got this. No losing to Remus, remember?”

Sirius didn’t say anything, just nodded curtly. His gray eyes were focused and icy as he walked out. He raised his bat, expression unreadable.

Leo threw two perfect strikes, Sirius letting out a frustrated huff every time he swung and missed. The third pitch, however, landed right on his bat and the ball sailed overhead- and right into Remus’ glove.

“Oh, come on!”

Remus just laughed loudly at his husband as he and his team began to clear the field. “Gotcha, baby!”

Sirius gritted his teeth and turned back to the dugout. “Allez, we need to field well, let’s go.”

“Yikes,” Natalie said drily. “Captain Scary has made an appearance.”

Sirius just sucked his teeth and picked up his glove.

“Okay, listen up!” Kasey called. He read from his clipboard. “Nat, you’re pitching, Logan, you’re catch. Louis, you’re at short, Eloise at second. Cap, Dumo, Lyall, you’re all outfield. Cole’s at third, Finn’s at first.” He looked up at them all. “Everyone else, you’ll sit this inning out, and we’ll rotate you in the next one so everyone gets a turn.”

There was a shuffling of people putting their gloves on and light chatter, then they were jogging out onto the field to the cheers of some of their friends and family in the stands. Finn waved to his and Logan’s parents before taking his place on first base. It was close enough to the other dugout that he could hear them cheering, but he tried to focus in on the plate.

They warmed up with some throwing before Layla signaled it was time to get started. Noelle was up first, her long braids swishing against her back as she stepped up to the plate. She knocked her knuckles on Logan’s helmet and he looked up at her. Finn didn’t need to see his face to know he was scowling.

Natalie was a good pitcher. She threw straight, even if not as fast as Leo, and could throw a mean change-up. Noelle landed a pop hit into right field and took off running to cheers.

“Let’s fucking go, Christmas!” Thomas shouted.

Finn watched as the ball landed just out of Sirius’ reach and he scrambled to pick it up. His throw was a bit wild, so Finn had to leave the base to catch it, allowing Noelle to just get there in time. She was breathing hard as she turned to Finn. “Nice try, Fish.” She tilted her head. “Hey, like our star pitcher?”

Finn narrowed his eyes. “I have no alliance with him in this game.”

“I don’t know, wait until you see him in those baseball pants.” Her eyes flashed to Thomas, who was whistling shrilly at her, and she smiled. “Nothing sexier than an ass in baseball pants.”

“Ugh, stop that. I’m trying to focus.”

She just pretended to zip her mouth shut and readied herself to run.

Natalie struck Remus out, much to Sirius’ delight, but Noelle did end up stealing second. Leo was up next, and he left the dugout to lots of cheering and whistling. He said something to Logan with a fond smile and a tap to his helmet, then steadied his bat above his shoulder. Finn really tried not to look at his ass in those pants, he really did, but it was a failed attempt, and he sucked in a breath as he looked away briefly. Noelle smirked at him, and he stuck his tongue out at her.

Leo took a ball and a strike, and after the second pitch he stepped out of the box to take a couple practice swings. He looked focused and determined when he stepped back in, eyes boring into Natalie’s from her place on the mound. She steadied herself and sent the ball flying in what Finn thought would be a perfect strike, but Leo timed it beautifully, and with a swing so fast it made a swooshing sound he sent the ball in a perfect arc to left field, just beyond Lyall’s reach but still within the outfield.

The next thing Finn knew, Leo was flying past him and rounding to second. Lyall had caught the ball and sent it to Pascal, who’d shifted to receive it, but it was no use. No sooner had Pascal turned to send it to Eloise at second then Leo was flying over that base, too, and hustling to third, Noelle sprinting to home plate. Cole slapped his glove in urgency, but caught the ball just after Leo arrived, jerking as he came to a halt to keep his foot on the base. He was breathing hard, but smiling. Noelle had cleared home easily, much to the obvious chagrin of her little brother, and was being picked up by a shouting Thomas and carried into the dugout, her head thrown back in a laugh. There were lots of cheers and back slaps for her, then Alex picked up his bat and made his way towards the box, but not before he cupped his hands around his mouth to shout at Finn. “How does it feel, little bro?”

Finn heard Logan’s frustrated grunt and narrowed his eyes at Alex’s smirk, but didn’t say anything. He couldn’t let himself go this early in the game- not, at least, if he wanted to win.

Alex ended up getting out on an impressive zinger from Eloise, who threw so hard it actually hurt Finn’s hand to catch the ball, even with his glove on. He laughed loudly in Alex’s face, but Alex just rolled his eyes. “Got blondie across home plate, though, didn’t I?”

Finn’s smile faded abruptly as he looked at the opposing dugout. Wyatt was shaking Leo’s shoulders excitedly as he made his way to sit down. Logan stood up and watched them, mask pulled up and away from his face. Finn saw him stare at Leo’s butt in his pants, then watched as he realized Finn caught him and blushed. Finn sighed. They were so fucked.

Chelsea was up next and walked. Wyatt was after her and bunted impressively, allowing Chelsea to advance, even if he got out. But Adele’s pop fly was caught easily by her father, and then they were changing out again. Finn met Logan at the entrance to the dugout. He was sweating in his catcher’s gear, shaking out his hair as he took off his helmet. Despite himself, Finn smiled and kissed his cheek. “You know, you are a very sexy catcher. Might have to make a career change.”

Logan rolled his eyes, but was grinning as he kissed Finn on the mouth. “Je t’aime.”

“Love you.” Finn took a deep breath and squared his shoulders. “Now, c’mon. We gotta focus if we want to beat the love of our lives, let’s go.”

Cole was up first and hit a double off of Leo’s second pitch. Louis then ran on a drop-third strike, but Wyatt sent it perfectly into Adele’s glove. Cole did end up at third, then crossed home on Kuny’s single, but Celeste snatched the ball out of the air with ease. With two outs, Kuny walking a bit dejectedly back to the dugout, Finn started to feel the pressure. Natalie hit a perfect single just out of Noelle’s reach in the outfield, though, which set them up with at least a man on base. Logan was up to hit after her, and Finn drew him close with an arm around his shoulders and touched their foreheads together. “I know he’s distracting, but you can’t let him get to you. He’s just your opponent out there.” He sighed. “A very sexy opponent, but an opponent nonetheless.”

Logan nodded. “Ouais. Ouais, d’accord, I’ve got this.”

“You’ve got this.”

“I’ve got this.”

Logan took a deep breath, then walked up to the plate, cheers following him from the dugout. He tapped his bat against his shoes and rolled out his shoulders, squaring up to face the mound. Leo winked at him.

“Fuck,” Finn muttered. “C’mon, baby, don’t get distracted.”

Leo’s first pitch went a little high, and Logan dutifully let it pass by as Layla called it a ball.

“Okay.” Finn tapped his foot. “Good, baby, good, c’mon.”

Logan drew two balls, then swung and missed for his first strike. After the second strike and Logan’s frustrated huff, Finn began to chew the inside of his cheek.

“Full count,” Pascal said from beside him. “It’s fine, Logan does well under pressure.”

“This is high stakes, Dumo. Bragging rights.”

A snort. “Mon Dieu, you three are competitive.”

Finn watched as Leo took a steadying breath, centering himself before preparing for his next pitch. He sent it right down the middle, and Finn let out a shout as Logan cracked it off his bat. But the victory was short lived, because in an impossible leap, Leo stretched his long (gorgeous) arm out and dove, snatching the ball just before he fell to the ground.

Logan let out a loud curse and went to pick up his bat, practically marching back to the dugout with a scowl. Finn met him and held his hands out to settle against his shoulders. “Whoa, hey, baby, it’s just a game.”

Logan walked past him and sat heavily on the bench, whipping his helmet off and thumping his head against the wall. When he looked at Finn, his face was frustrated and- flushed?

“Fuck,” Logan said, before muttering rapidly in French. “The fuck is he doing, just looking like that? He just- I can’t- I’m trying to focus!”

Finn gaped for a minute, realization dawning over him, before he gasped delightedly. “Oh my God!”

Logan glared at him. “Rouge-”

“Oh my God, you’re turned on.” When Logan shushed him, he lowered his voice and went to stand between his legs and cup Logan’s blushing cheeks. “Oh, baby, you’re so turned on right now.”

“Shut up.”

“Nuh-uh, no way.” He felt giddy and bent to look into Logan’s eyes. “Really? This is doing it for you?”

“Don’t pretend it’s not doing it for you, too!”

“Oh, I’m not.” He pressed a kiss to the top of Logan’s head and drew him in for a hug. “Okay, we’ll be fine. Just a few more innings, then we can go see him.”

“But then there’s team dinner-”

“Which we can leave early.”

“His parents.”

“They’d stay long after we would leave, anyways, you know how they are. Eloise dances until the sun comes up with my mom and the Walkers, and Wyatt chats with Dumo and Lyall for ages every time. At Christmas we had to drag them home.”

Logan just let out a groan into his chest. “I can’t do this.”

Finn stepped back and pulled Logan onto his feet. “Well, you’re gonna have to. Because sunshine can be sexy all he wants, but he’s not gonna win.”

Finn was, however, proven mistaken. Four and a half innings later and Thomas and James were dumping a cooler of ice water on Leo’s back as he crossed home plate, Natalie standing on the pitcher’s mound gaping at where the ball had flown over the fence. It had been a competitive game, the opposing team going into their final at-bat tied with the other team 6-6, and Finn’s team had been fielding fantastic, but it was apparently no match for six-feet-and-three-inches of pure muscle and skill. Leo’s walk-off homer had pushed Noelle and Adele across the plate, too, and Finn had known at that moment that they had absolutely lost. He sighed, squinting against the late afternoon sun, and watched as Leo laughed and was pulled into a hug by his father.

“I told you honey.” Eloise had come to stand beside him and placed a comforting hand on his back. “Don’t underestimate my Leo. He’s got quite a skill set.”

He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “More like a super power.” He gave her a squeeze and smiled down at her. “Hey, you played great, too. That double play in the third was insane.”

She grinned, pleased. “Aw, thanks, honey. Lots of practice, me and Wyatt. You boys should come play the next time you’re down.”

“I’m sure we will.” He looked back at home plate to see Logan sigh heavily. “Yikes, better go comfort grumpy. I’ll be right back.”

She patted his back and went to go talk to Natalie on the pitcher’s mound, and Finn jogged over to home plate. When he got there, he smiled and wrapped a slightly dejected Logan up in a hug. “You played good, baby.”

“Merci. You, too.”

Finn kissed his cheek. “Just no match for our MLB All-Star, huh?”

“What’s that about me?”

Finn and Logan turned to find Leo grinning at them broadly, soaking hair pushed back to reveal his blue eyes in a way that did not help the flush Finn knew was tinting his ears. He looked Leo up and down. “Just wondering where in the hell you learned to pitch like that.”

Leo winked. “So I might have played a little in New Orleans.” His gaze turned soft and he approached them. “Good game. You guys played great.”

“Soleil,” Logan said, voice slightly hushed. He went to go play with the chain hanging down in between the open top buttons of Leo’s jersey. He then gripped the fabric in his fingers and dragged Leo down into a kiss. “Mon coeur.”

Leo looked confused for a second before his eyes lit up. “Oh my God.” He laughed quietly and cupped Logan’s hips. “Really?” When Logan nodded, the highs of his cheeks red, Leo smiled even wider. “Oh, honey. Look at you.”

“Leo.”

“Sh, sh.” Leo drew Logan in for a hug and placed his mouth by his ear, whispering just loud enough so Finn could hear, too. “Sh, sweetheart, I’ve got you.”

Logan let out a soft sound and settled into Leo’s body, Leo smiling at Finn over his shoulder. Finn bit his lip and came up behind Logan to give Leo a brief kiss. “What can we say? Your skills are irresistible, baby.”

Leo made a happy sound and kissed Logan’s cheek before standing more upright. “Thank you.” He slung an arm around each of their shoulders, his body pleasantly cool from the ice water, and smiled brightly. “So, how fast are we leaving this team dinner?”

Finn laughed. “Oh, so fast. We’ll see if Lo even makes it there.”

Leo’s dimples deepened. “Well, we’ve got time. I’m sure we could find a shady spot in a parking lot on the way to Dumo’s.”

Finn perked up. “Really?”

“Yes, really.”

Logan looked up at Leo with raised eyebrows. “But we’re all sweaty.”

Leo just shrugged. “What can I say, you both looked good out there. Finn holds a baseball very gracefully.” He bent to nuzzle Logan’s cheek. “And those baseball pants do wonders for you, baby.”

Logan blinked slowly, lips slightly parted. “Huh.”

Leo kissed his mouth twice in a burst, then patted each of their backs before walking towards his dugout. “Let’s go, clean-up time. I also gotta find my mama, that double play was awesome.”

“Yeah!” Finn called after him. “When were you gonna tell us you’re all a bunch of prodigies?”

Leo just turned, dropped a devastating wink, and went to help organize the dugout.

Finn let out a sigh and turned to Logan. “Damn. He just gets sexier every day, doesn’t he?”

“Ouais,” Logan nodded. He looped his arms around Finn’s neck. “I like still learning stuff about him.”

Finn smiled and kissed him. “Yeah, me, too. Like still learning stuff about both of you.” He patted Logan’s butt. “Like how you look really good in these pants. Le, too.”

Logan’s eyes were fond as he tugged Finn’s hair. “Allez, let’s clean up and go find our families. I’m sure Noelle and Alex are looking for us.”

Finn rolled his eyes. “Ugh. Losers.”

“Non, rouge, us.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He bent to wrap his arms around the backs of Logan’s thighs to lift him up with a grunt, grinning at Logan’s loud laugh. “Let’s go, ten, then we get sunshine time.”

“And you time.”

“And you time.” Finn bit at the skin of Logan’s waist that was closest to his mouth, his shirt having ridden up a bit against Finn’s body. “Mm, you’re tasty.”

“Rouge.”

Finn just laughed, feeling light and in love, and carried him into the dugout.

“Sweetheart!” Leo called from their bedroom, holding a towel around his hips. “I’m just gonna get changed, then when Lo’s back we can all go.”

“Wait!”

There was the thunderous thudding of footsteps then Finn was sliding through their bedroom door on his socks, slipping a bit on the hardwood. Leo blinked hard and held out a hand to catch him. “Whoa.”

“Sorry.” He skipped around and jumped dramatically onto the bed, sitting straight-backed on the edge with his hands folded, a goofy smile on his face. “Okay, ready.”

Leo laughed, confused. “What?”

“I said, I’m ready. For you to get changed.”

“Oh, you’re ready, are you?” Leo teased. He dropped his towel and turned around to dig through their underwear drawer. When he got no response, he turned his head to look at Finn again over his shoulder. “Honey?”

“Hm?” Finn’s eyes were very obviously not focused on Leo’s face. “Sorry, what?”

Leo smiled, pulling on a pair of boxers- and ignoring Finn’s sad whine- before going to stand in between his thighs. He cupped his face gently. “I love you.”

Finn’s eyes were the warmest brown, and his smile made Leo feel light. “I love you, too.” He wrapped his arms tightly around Leo’s waist and pressed his face into his chest with a squeeze. “You’re so beautiful.”

Leo made a happy sound and scratched a hand through Finn’s hair. He placed a kiss on the top of his head. “So are you.” He gasped at Finn’s playful bite to the skin right beside his nipple. “Ouch.”

“Mm,” Finn hummed, eyes playful. “I could just eat you up. Can I, please?”

“No time.”

“You sure? We could-”

But he was interrupted by the sound of keys scratching at the door, then the clink of them plopping into a bowl.

“Salut, I’m home!” Logan called.

Finn gasped. “Wait!” He stood and kissed Leo quickly. “Stay right here, don’t move a muscle. I don’t wanna see another piece of clothing on you.”

“Okay?”

“‘Be right back!” Finn sing-songed, then he was sliding back out the door. Leo heard him talking to Logan in the living room. “Hey, baby, you need to change?”

“Ouais, I need to put on something nicer, I-”

“Great! Let’s go.”

A laugh. “Rouge-”

Then Finn was slipping once more through the doorway, Logan in tow and stumbling behind him. They were both laughing. Logan’s posture relaxed when he saw Leo, smile going soft. “Salut.”

“Hi.”

“Oh-kay!” Finn once again jumped dramatically onto the bed, this time sat up against the pillows with his feet crossed. He waved his hand with a flourish, rings catching the light for a moment, and dipped his head. “You may proceed.”

Logan laughed, confused. “Quoi?”

“I said, you may proceed. With the changing of clothes.” He folded his hands in his lap. “I am but a mere spectator.”

Logan looked to Leo, but Leo just shrugged. “I was just told to not put a shirt on.”

Logan laughed. “Well,” he said, looking Leo up and down. “I support that.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “Shut up.”

“Non, non.” Logan stepped into his space. He took his hand and kissed his wedding band and engagement ring, then looked up with content green eyes. “I didn’t get a kiss yet.”

Leo smiled against his mouth and kissed him softly. “Hi.”

“Hi.”

“Hi.” Finn was now twiddling his thumbs. “May we please continue with the undressing?”

Logan tisked. “I thought we were changing.”

“Ugh,” Finn groaned. “Stupid dinner party.”

Logan shook his head fondly, reaching behind himself to pull his shirt off. “The kids are excited, though, they spent the whole day at Sirius’ just talking about the lamb Celeste is cooking.”

“The Dumais are not kids anymore, honey,” Leo pointed out, now searching for his nice pants.

“Yes they are, Knutty,” Logan protested, unbuttoning his shorts. “They’re still kids.”

“Kids in high school. And college.”

“Non.”

A low whistle sounded from the bed, interrupting their movements. “Goddamn. This view never gets old.”

Leo and Logan both turned to look at Finn, who was biting his lip around a grin, warm eyes roving all over their bodies. He looked kind of like a kid on Christmas, Leo thought as he made to step into his pants.

“Wait,” Finn said suddenly. “Wait, not yet.”

Leo clucked his tongue. “Finn, we’ve gotta get dressed. And plus, you’ve seen us naked a thousand times, it’s not like it’s anything new.”

“Actually,” Finn responded, holding a singular finger up. “I see you naked about three times a day, roughly, so that’s way more than a thousand times in a single year. And we’ve been together for, what, how many years? So it’s probably closer to ten thousand by now.” He shifted to the edge of the bed and stood, coming to take the pants from Leo’s hands and put them on the dresser. “But that’s not the point.” He wrapped his arms gently around Leo’s waist. “Baby, I could see you naked a billion times and I would never get enough of you. I just…” He rubbed a hand up and down Leo’s ribs with a smile. “I love your bodies so much.”

Leo felt his cheeks heat. “Oh.”

“Yeah, oh. C’mere,” Finn said, opening an arm for Logan to tuck into his side. “Do you want to know what my favorite part of sex is?”

“Wow, that took a turn,” Leo said drily. “Okay?”

“I love,” Finn started. “The beginning and the end. When I just get to touch you, to hold you. Like, forget the whole, like, giving you pleasure- though I am a big fan of that as you well know. Big fan. Huge.”

Logan laughed into Finn’s jaw, nuzzling his skin with his nose. “Allez.”

Finn let out a sigh and pressed his nose into Logan’s hair, gentle eyes peeking out at Leo. “You could tell me you never wanted to have sex again and I would still, every morning and every night, want to kiss every inch of you.” As if to emphasize his point, he pressed a kiss to Logan’s temple, then one to Leo’s cheek. “I love the way your waists fit in my hands. The way your legs wrap around me. The strong muscles of your chests, the soft warmth of your skin.”

Leo felt his eyes suddenly get a little warm and he blinked hard. An insecure feeling worked its way up his throat. “Finn.”

Finn gripped him harder around the waist. “No, baby, don’t cry.” He kissed a tear that fell down Leo’s cheek, then his lips a few times for good measure. “Sunshine, don’t cry.”

“No, it’s just-” Leo sniffed, reaching up to wipe under his eyes. “Our bodies aren’t always going to look like this.”

“And that’s okay,” Finn whispered, resting their foreheads together. “Baby, that’s okay.” He let out a shaky sigh. “I can’t think of any way your body could look and I wouldn’t love it just as much as I do now.”

“Mon soleil,” Logan whispered. He had turned and was now tucked into Leo’s side, his back at an angle against Finn’s chest.. “You’ll always be so beautiful.”

“Yeah,” Finn agreed. “You both-” His breath hitched, and he smiled. “I’m gonna love you for the rest of our lives. And I will love everything about you, always, no matter what. Okay?”

Leo nodded. He felt more settled with the heat of them against him. “Okay.” He kissed Finn softly, then Logan. “I love you,” he mumbled against Logan’s mouth.

“Je t’aime,” Logan sighed. Leo wrapped an arm around his waist to feel his skin. “Mm, you’re cold.”

Leo smiled. “I always am.”

“Ici.” Logan wiggled himself further in between them to more squarely press himself into Leo’s chest.

Finn scoffed. “Um, excuse me,” he said, leaning down to bite Logan’s shoulder. “This is group cuddle time, not ‘hog Leo’ time.”

“But he’s cold.”

Leo smiled sheepishly over Logan’s head, and Finn narrowed his eyes. “Fine.” He bent to put his mouth by Logan’s ear. “But I’m gonna get you for this Tremblay.”

Leo felt Logan’s grin against his skin. “Yes, please.”

Finn let out a slightly frustrated breath. “We cannot lose track of ourselves here, okay?”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“Uh, yes you did, ten, and it is not helping the situation.”

Leo raised his eyebrows playfully. “What situation?”

Finn looked at him as if it was obvious. “The situation I always find myself in when I see you two naked.”

“Oo,” Leo teased. “Sounds fun.”

“Yes, normally, when I have hours to act on it.” He slapped Logan’s ass. “But we’ve got a party to get to, so chop chop. Unfortunately, clothes must go on.” He took a step back to look them over and let out a heavy breath. “Goddamn. Look at my sexy husbands.”

Leo grinned into Logan’s hair and kissed his head quickly. “Okay. Clothes.”

Logan nodded. “Clothes.”

“Wait!” Finn, for a final time, jumped on the bed with a happy sound. When he was settled again, he kicked his feet excitedly. “Okay, go.”

Leo and Logan just grinned at each other, then pulled on their pants.

It’s honestly a crime the gender bent cubs didn’t get more engagement I LOVED THEM

Can we pls talk about how genderbent Leo would be a literal supermodel?! Like long golden hair with Mile long legs with the canon ability to tan so easily?! I just KNOW she would be drop dead gorgeous. Can we see finlo being possessive girlfriends?? I need that in my life‼️‼️

I know I usually answer these in the order I receive them, but this message was so sweet and this prompt got me so excited, and I IMMEDIATELY went and wrote this! The post this ask is referencing is here, if you're curious.

GO BOSTON FLEET!!!!

Logan leaned into the hand Finn had around her waist, tucked underneath Logan's gray suit jacket to be closer to her skin through her white button-down. A kiss was pressed to the side of her head. “You get yourself another drink, baby?”

Logan nodded and turned to look at Finn. “Ouais. Got you and Le some gin and tonics, too.”

Finn's brown eyes stood out against the green of her jumpsuit. Her jaw length, straightened hair fell in front to cover them, and Logan reached up to tuck it behind her ear. Finn smiled. “Thanks, baby.” She brushed Logan’s dark waves over her shoulder distractedly. “You having a good time?”

“Yeah,” Logan said. She leaned into the hand Finn was using to massage the base of her neck. “Talked with Sirius, mostly.”

Finn laughed lightly. “My little wallflower.” She leaned in closer. Logan had to look up more than normal, because she was in Converse and Finn was in heels that made her so beautiful and tall. “You look so good tonight, Lo.”

Logan blushed. “You've said.”

Finn shook her head. “Then I'll say it again.” She wrapped her arms around Logan's waist and squeezed. “You're so gorgeous.”

Logan leaned up to kiss her. “Toi aussi.”

Finn looked pleased, and Logan stood on her toes to kiss her cheek once more before the bartender came with their drinks.

“Two gin and tonics and a rum and Coke?”

Logan nodded. “Merci.” She handed Finn hers and took her own and Leo's. “Allez, where's Le?”

Finn was already looking, scanning the crowd. “I don't know, I haven't seen her in-” She interrupted herself with a sharp inhale. “Oh. Jesus, we did so good.” She jerked her head. “Look, over there.”

Logan followed Finn's gaze until her eyes landed on Leo, laughing at a standing table with a few people Logan didn't know. She was so good at chatting up a room, much better than Logan was, and she had her present company in stitches. The gala, a joint Boston Fleet and Boston Bruins summer charity event, was a fairly high-brow and certainly fancy opportunity to raise money for keeping the local libraries open and promoting a raise in teacher pay. Leo had been one of the players to spearhead the initiative, and as such was one of the most sought-out people of the night. Logan hadn't seen her in what felt like hours- which was a shame really, considering how good she looked.

Her long, blonde, corkscrew curls were pulled back in a ponytail with a blue ribbon high on her head, save for a few strands, accentuating her sharp jawline and round face. Her dress was a shimmery blue that matched her eyes, the back of it dipping low to show off her lean muscles. She'd done her makeup kind of smoky and with a bit of glitter, accentuating the blue of her irises, and Logan shivered at how striking they were. Her necklace, earrings, bracelets, and rings shone against her skin, golden from the summer sun. The nail in the coffin, however, was the slit on the side of her dress. She was bent over slightly to rest her forearms on the table, and Logan's eyes followed the curve of her breasts down to her torso, slightly softer than Logan and Finn were, down to the swell of her butt, and, finally, to those mile-long, tanned legs peeking out through the fabric. They were all on display, her muscles flexing lightly to balance in her silver heels, making her even more toweringly beautiful than she already was.

“God, just look at her,” Finn repeated dreamily. She was rubbing her hand up and down Logan's ribs again. “Isn't she just the most beautiful thing?”

Logan made a noise of agreement, resting her head against Finn's shoulder. They just stood and watched for a minute, admiring. Leo's white teeth showed every time she laughed, and her button nose scrunched and crinkled the skin around her eyes. She looked so gorgeous, and more important, joyful, that Logan could have stayed there and gazed at her forever.

Until, however, someone approached her.

Logan bristled as a man Leo's height walked up to her, stumbling a bit. He wasn’t one of the players on either team- probably a relative or friend of the owners, and he definitely seemed to be tipsy and looking for a good time. He looked Leo up and down and said something with a sly grin. Leo’s smile was strained and nervous, her back muscles tense as she took a step back. He tried to reach out to her wrist, presumably to compliment her bracelet, but she just took her hand away and began to fiddle with the chain. Logan could feel Finn just as tense beside her, locked and loaded like a gun, and the last straw was when he tried to step into Leo’s space and she held a hand up, talking rapidly.

“Shit,” Finn said. She began walking forward hurriedly. Logan followed.

“I told you,” Leo was saying as they approached. “I'm already taken. I appreciate the compliment, but-”

“Then where is he?” the guy interrupted.

“Right here,” Finn said. She placed an arm possessively around Leo’s waist. Her smile was overly sweet and mocking. “Kindly leave us alone.”

But the guy just cocked an eyebrow at Leo. “And you're sure these aren't just your friends making a show?”

Logan let out a frustrated huff from Leo's other side. She set both drinks down and took Leo's hand in hers and kissed it, glaring at him the whole time. “Fuck off.”

The man narrowed his eyes but walked away. Logan could feel the tension in Leo's body evaporate immediately.

“Jesus,” Finn said. She came to stand in front of the both of them, blocking Leo's view of where the man had walked off to. She placed one had on the small of Leo's back, one on her belly. “Baby, are you okay?”

Leo blinked and let out a breath. “Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.” She rolled out her neck. “He would just not back off, would he?”

Logan kissed her bicep. “I'm sorry, Le.”

Leo shook her head and turned to look down at her. She was smiling softly. “Don't be sorry, honey.” She wrapped an arm around Logan's waist and pulled their bodies together. “Besides, I've got my own sexy knights to protect me.”

“Mhm,” Finn agreed. She was smiling, too. “We've gotta protect the pretty princess.”

Leo blushed. “Shut up.”

“Non,” Logan said. She stood on her toes and tilted her chin up for a kiss. “The prettiest princess.”

Leo laughed against her mouth and touched their foreheads together, then hers and Finn's. “Thank you. I love you.”

“Anytime, any day, baby,” Finn said. She bit at Leo’s jaw playfully. “Gotta show everyone you're ours.” She took a step back and held onto Leo's hand, looking her up and down a few times. “You look like a fucking model, Jesus Christ.”

Leo laughed sheepishly and looked down to where her breasts sat against her body, larger than Finn and Logan's, and where the bottom of her stomach pushed out against her dress. “I'm not.”

“Oh-ho, you so are.” Finn stepped into her space and flicked the slit of Leo's dress out of the way to hold her thigh up with a firm hand, like a tango dancer. Leo stumbled a bit, but Finn held her knee tight against the waistband of her jumpsuit. “Look at the legs on you. Sexiest legs we've ever seen.”

“Si belle,” Logan agreed. She kissed along Leo's collarbone. “The most beautiful girl in the room.”

Leo made a pleased sound. Her teeth showed as she smiled and ran a hand through Finn's hair. “Could say the same thing about you two.”

Finn's grin was sharp. “Feel free.” She let go of Leo's leg with a pat. She ran a hand up Leo's thigh and butt a few times to settle on her waist. “You sure you're okay, gorgeous? You want to go home?”

Leo shook her head. “No. No, I'm okay.” She reached for her drink and took a big sip. Her eyes flashed somewhere off to the side and she smiled against the rim of her glass. “In fact, I think you should take me dancing.”

“Quoi?” Logan asked. She jerked her head around to look. Sure enough, the dance floor had been cleared for the evening, and there were a few people already dotting the scene as the DJ bounced along to the beat. Logan hadn't noticed the music change from the classical stuff being played since the start of the evening, too wrapped up in Leo.

Finn had noticed, too. “Oh, well in that case.” She took her own glass and then held Logan's out to her. “Grab your drink, Tremblay, our super model has demanded a dance.”

Leo rolled her eyes playfully. “I didn't demand anything. I politely suggested.”

Finn winked at her. “You can demand anything you want from me, night and day, you know that, gorgeous.” She held out her hand to Leo with a little bow of her head. “My sunshine baby.” She nodded to Logan with teasing eyes. “My grumpy lady. Let's get our boogie on, shall we?”

Leo and Logan laughed, Logan placing a hand low on Leo's back as Finn guided them to the dance floor. Once they got there, Logan got to watch as Finn spun Leo around and then held her back to chest, allowing for Leo to reach a hand out for Logan to take. They swayed together, Finn every now and then grinding over exaggeratedly against Leo to make her laugh. Logan had one hand still holding her drink, the other against where Leo's neck met her shoulder. She rubbed her thumb against Leo’s pulse point. Finn was watching them over Leo's shoulder with a pleased smile, singing along to the lyrics of the song. They both looked so good under the colorful lights, their eyes like sparkling jewels. Logan pressed herself closer, resting her chin just above the swell of Leo's breasts.

“I love you!” she shouted over the loud music.

Leo smiled and bent to kiss her, smile playful. “I love you.”

But that wasn't enough for Logan. “I love you!” she said loudly again.

Finn caught on with a wide smile. “I love you!”

“I love you, I love you, I love you. I love you!”

Their voices overlapped as they all said it loudly over one another at the same time, competing until they couldn't anymore and slumped together in a fit of giggles. One of Finn's hands came to stroke Logan's waist, and Logan felt so high and happy she didn't quite know what to do with herself. She settled with resting her cheek against the warm skin of Leo's chest. Leo dropped a kiss onto her head.

“I love you,” she whispered. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Soooooo, gender-bent Cubs? As a WLW, I LOVE WLW Cubs AUs, and figured we needed more of them.

Enjoy Finn being VERY obsessed with her girlfriends- but would we really expect anything less from our favorite resident red-head?

GO BOSTON FLEET RAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!

All credits to @lumosinlove !!

“Whoa-ho, there, Tremblay. Hey there, hot stuff.”

Logan jumped at Finn’s smack to her ass from where she was bent over putting on her skates. She turned around to glare daggers. “Finn-”

Finn grabbed her waist and brought her close, smile sharp. “You can’t bend over like that and expect me not to take advantage.”

Logan rolled her eyes but reached her hands up to tug at Finn’s hair. She had cut it for the season and it fell just to her jaw in light waves. Leo had done two French braids that morning to keep the face-framing pieces out of her eyes, but there was still enough loose for Logan to grip. “We’re in the locker room.”

Finn just leaned down and kissed her. “I can’t help that your ass is incredible always. Le’s, too. I’m a very lucky girl.”

“Hm?” Leo asked, walking by in her compression shirt in leggings. She hadn’t put her pads on yet. She leaned against their sides and wrapped an arm around Logan’s waist. “What’d you say, honey?”

“That I love you,” Finn said, but her eyes were twinkling.

Leo narrowed her eyes. “No you didn’t.”

Finn shrugged. “Believe what you want, baby.” But as she walked to her stall to suit up, she gave Leo’s ass a squeeze with two hands.

“Fish,” Leo gasped. She looked down at Logan, her face bright red. “She was talking about my ass, wasn’t she?”

Logan smiled and leaned up to kiss her. “Ouais.” Logan leaned against Leo’s chest. “It’s a very nice ass, soleil.”

Leo snorted. “Yours, too, sweetheart.”

***

“Shit, Knut, you’re a fucking wall today,” Tabby Walker said, panting. “What the hell.”

Leo just smiled and pushed up her mask. “Sorry, Talky.” She squirted water into her mouth as Tabby came up to tap her stick against Leo’s pads.

“You’re gonna be hot tomorrow against Minnesota, baby, I can feel it.”

Leo laughed. “You think?”

“Yeah,” Tabby replied. “Red hot.”

“Hey!” Finn’s voice came. “You can’t call Leo hot!”

Finn and Logan were finishing up stick handling drills with the other forwards at the other end of the ice. They were helping to pick up the cones that they used sometimes when they interrupted Leo and Tabby. Finn handed hers to Logan, who was laughing, and skated over.

She stopped right beside Leo and looked to Tabby. “What’re you doing calling my Leo hot?”

Leo raised her eyebrows. “She also called me baby.”

Finn just pouted. “Walky Talky.”

Tabby slugged Finn in the shoulder gently. “She can’t help the heat, dude. She went full splits, I didn’t have a chance.” She jerked her chin and gave Leo a fist bump. “I’m off, lovebirds.” She turned to Leo and winked cheekily. “Later, Nutty.”

Leo winked back even as Finn made a desperate little whine. “Leo.”

Giggling, Leo turned back to Finn. “Sweetheart, you’re so easy.”

“I can’t help that I’m dating two goddesses. You can do the splits, for crying out loud.” She crossed her arms. “And ‘baby’ is a privilege reserved for me.”

Leo rolled her eyes with a small smile. “You’re so difficult.” But she kissed Finn’s helmet. “I love you.”

Finn preened under the attention. “Lucky me.”

“Oui, lucky you,” Leo replied. “And if it makes you feel better, Talky calls everybody hot.” She smirked. “Especially Logan’s sister.”

Finn laughed. “Noelle’s a lucky one.”

“Hm,” Leo said, turning to her net. “She is. C’mon, Finnley, help me get my stuff to the locker room so we can go. Vodka chicken’s on the menu tonight.”

“Let’s fucking go,” Finn said, pumping her fists. She grabbed Leo’s water bottle. “Fucking love your vodka chicken.” She looked up to where Logan and Sirius were having what looking like a shooting contest on Kasey at the other end. “Hey Tremblay! Let’s go! Got vodka chicken for dinner tonight.”

Logan looked up at that, and said something to Sirius before skating away. She approached her girlfriends with a smile. “Ouais, let’s go.”

Leo nodded towards the other end of the ice. “Having fun?”

Logan smiled. “Oui, just doing a shooting competition with Cap.” She turned her head slightly and raised her voice. “Which I won!”

“Non!” Sirius yelled back. “Non, tu n'as pas gagné!”

Logan rolled her eyes, turning back. “I so did.”

Finn just threw her arm around her. “Let’s go. Vodka chicken time.”

The locker room was rowdy as it always was after practice, the adrenaline having yet to wear off. Leo shook her curls out of their low ponytail and fluffed it up from her scalp. It was getting long now- she’d have to cut it soon so it wouldn’t overheat the back of her neck, especially as they were getting deeper into the season. They were on a winning streak, and the Boston crowd was expecting big things from the Fleet.

She felt a tug on a lock of hair and arms wrapping around her waist from behind. Logan squeezed her briefly before coming around to face her. “Ca va?”

Leo nodded, placing a kiss between her two Dutch braids. There were pieces that had come loose. Leo thought that Logan always looked so gorgeous after practice, her face warm and her dark hair a little mussed. The messy braid look really suited her.

“Ouais,” Leo said. She continued in French. “How much longer do you need?”

Logan kissed her collarbone. “Twenty minutes. Gotta shower real quick, then we can go home.”

Leo nodded, stripping off to follow Logan into the showers. Logan led her to the ones on the other side of the wall that divided the shower room, where Finn already was under her own nozzle. There wasn’t anybody else, and she lit up at the sight of them. “Oh boy.” She not-so-subtely peeked around at Leo and Logan’s backsides. “Yup, I don’t regret a thing.”

Leo turned bright red and Logan laughed, leaning up to kiss her cheek before turning on two nozzles for them. “Later, Harz.”

Finn smiled, eyes happy and with that sharp look that she sometimes got. “Hot stuff, Tremblay.”

Logan turned her face up to the spray, careful to not get her braids too wet. “You can’t call me that.” She peeked out mischievously. “Only Talker can.”

Finn spluttered and Leo laughed loudly. When Logan turned to look, Finn’s ears were red and she looked like the was struggling to maintain composure, which just made Logan smirk and close her eyes.

“Nuh-uh,” Finn complained. “Nope, nope, no more.” She flicked water at them both. “Not funny.”

Leo just reached over to grab her hand and kiss it. “Love you, sweetheart.” Finn put on her sad eyes and Leo snorted. “Say it back, you goof.”

Finn’s eyes narrowed.

Leo bit her lip around a smile and turned towards her own shower. “Fine. No vodka chicken for you.”

Finn gasped. “You don’t mean that.”

Logan hummed. “Ouais. Le and I will eat it all.”

“No, nope,” Finn said. She stepped up behind Leo and pressed a kiss to her shoulder before reaching out to tug Logan over. Surprised, Logan came with a slight yelp, slipping a little on the floor. But before she could chastise, Finn kissed her soundly. “Love you, love you, love you.”

Leo looked over her shoulder to see Logan’s green eyes looking up through dark lashes. She was smiling softly. “Je t’aime.” She looked to Leo and her smile grew. “Je t’aime, soleil.”

“I love you,” Leo said, leaning in for a brief kiss. “But let’s get a move on.” She reached for the soap. “I’m fucking starving and you two are stalling me.”

And with a light smack to each of their asses, Finn went back to her own shower, laughing at her girlfriends’ twin gasps.

Finn O'Hara really was a very lucky girl
