if yall want to have fun on the internet while feeling like apart of a community you should join neocities and make your own personal website im so srs.
you’ll need to learn html coding but there are loads of free templates you can use! this layout generator is a great place to start, and neocities also has their own starter guide. i promise coding is not as scary as it looks, once you learn the basics it is rewarding & fun!
having a personal website on neocities is like having a little virtual house that you can freely customise how you want then you can go and visit other ppls virtual houses. it’s comfy, slow-paced and very welcoming compared to current social media.
if you don’t want to join, i still recommend checking out peoples websites ^_^ they are interactive works of art! keep in mind most are best viewed on a computer rather than mobile.
here is my website if you’d like to check it out :3

Hi! Love your pixel art! What programs do you use to make it? Any tips how to start? Tysm!
thank you so much! i use aseprite, you can find it on their website here, and there’s also a steam version! its the best pixel art program hands down.
for starting tips, i would read this thread and study each bullet point extensively. pixel art is a very specific art medium that requires certain things in each piece and this thread goes over a lot of those things.
for starters, color limiting, ie; using a color palette with very few colors, is one of the biggest things a newbie should learn. with that i would also try to start out with smaller resolutions, no more than 150px at the widest/tallest.

heya! i’m ilta (she/her), and i’m a pixel artist! i make art that fluctuates between cute, strange, and creepy. i tend to focus on aesthetics and soft colors. for work, i make pixel art commissions, and pixel art video games. i also steam on twitch @ilta222!
Nice to meet you, Ilta! We’ve asked her to share some of her art below.
Check out more of Ilta’s work over at her Tumblr, @ilta222!

it is so frustrating how little people can think into the future, especially when it comes to ai 'art'
what happens when the creative process is so assisted by ai, that young artists don't feel the need to pick up a pencil anymore?
art everywhere deteriorates as a whole, because no one needs to learn basic fundamentals. artists won't even see the mistakes ai makes at some point, and won't be able to correct them. this will be felt in every media, because art is in everything. even if you're not a artist and can't explain what is 'off' with the art in games, movies, etc, you WILL still feel it.
what happens when less, and less, and less people are allowed to make a living through human art, because whole teams of artists are replaced with one artist + an ai tool, and less people see the need to buy lesser skill art from artists just starting their journey, when it can just be generated?
eventually, the only ones making actual human art to the degree that they're able live off of it are the rich, because artist jobs will be so scarce, and artists just starting out won't get nearly as much income unless they use ai to boost their finished pieces(not their skills btw), so human art as a full time job will be HEAVILY skewed to the most privileged people in society.
