"Hello my friends! Long time no see!" A Weequay followed by several others, armed to the teeth, came up to the Marauder. A dirty, red leather cloak blew around him as he sweepingly spread his arms. "Did you miss me?" "Not really," Echo grumbled dryly. The Weequay laughed, "Oh, don't be like that!" "You sure got us in trouble last time," Tech said critically. Hunter's gaze wandered over the men accompanying the Weequay and their armaments. "What do you want, Hondo?" the sergeant finally asked. Hondo turned to face him, slowly and effectively, obviously about to continue his act, but something distracted him. Tech first thought Hondo's surprised look was for him, but when he heard a soft noise behind him, he realized the pirate was looking at someone else behind Tech. Hondo's eyes widened, Tech watched for any reaction that might indicate hostile behavior. But the pirate wasn't looking angry or belligerent, but rather interested and, in a way, eager. "Well, well, well! What have we here? Such a pretty thing!" Realizing you'd been spotted, your first reaction was to back away. "Oh, no, no, don't hide, you don't hide something as sugary sweet as you," Hondo cooed. Tech got hot and cold. He looked over his shoulder and saw you. "I explicitly asked you to stay in the engine room," he murmured quietly, but clearly annoyed as well as concerned. "Well, well," said Hondo "Who's going to be so strict? Are they locking you in the engine room, dear? Who are you beautiful?" Tech resolutely steps in his way and says, "This is my wife." Hondo laughs softly, then looks past Tech to you and asks, "Your husband locks you in the engine room?" Tech answers him before you could say anything, "Of course not, she was just supposed to stay there for her safety. When we saw your shuttle, we didn't know what to expect, I didn't want her to be the focus... which is what happened now." Hondo chuckled, "Any chance you two have an open marriage?" "Absolutely not!" growled Tech. Hunter intervened as he watched Tech's fingers slowly move to his blasters. The sergeant cleared his throat and slid in between the two. "What did you come here for originally? Surely not for Tech's wife" Hondo laughed, "One thing at a time".

He looked around as if looking for something.

"Where's the grumpy one? The one with the tattoo on his eye. Your sniper?", Hondo wanted to know.

He glanced around, but no one said anything.

Hondo laughed softly and said cheerfully, "Hahaha, let me guess, he's lying in wait somewhere, probably aiming for my head right now"

"Probably," Hunter confirmed with a smirk.

"Uncle Cross?" "Hmm?" Amy set aside her sniper stick and frowned critically. "Can I look down there, too?" Crosshair sighed softly and said quietly, "This isn't really a good time" "Please?" "The timing doesn't get better just because you say 'please'" Amy sighed wistfully and rolled onto her back, looking up into the canopy of leaves that hovered above their heads. "Who's down there? Do you know those people?" "One of those men, yes," Crosshair replied, still focused on his target. "And is he dangerous?", Amy wanted to know with concern. Crosshair thought for a moment before answering, "Not necessarily." Unsatisfied with the answer, Amy rolled onto her side to look at her uncle. "What does that mean?" "Hondo Ohnaka is a pirate, he is unpredictable, but usually not outright vicious. Greedy, devious, yes, but in some ways he can be affable. It's hard to explain." "Are mom and dad in danger?" Crosshair said confidently, "No, I don't think so. It certainly doesn't look like it, but just in case, I've got everything covered" "Okay," Amy said quietly. The girl was worried and restless at the same time, Crosshair knew it was better to keep her busy, so she could get her mind off things and feel like she was doing something good. "Hey little bean, I have a task for you."

Amy sat up excitedly. "What is it?" Crosshair pointed behind him and said, "There's a small clearing, just in that direction, it's not far, about 50 yards." Amy followed his finger pointing. "What's there?" she asked curiously. "Pretty flowers. I'm sure your mom will be worried and stressed when this is all over, pick her a nice bouquet to bring back to her later. What do you think?" Amy grinned at him and jumped to her little feet. "Slow down!", Crosshair reminded her, "If you hurt yourself out here now I can't tend to your wounds, don't run, stay on the little trail and only touch the flowers you know. Hunter has taught you which plants are safe" "Okay," Amy piped up and continued to run happily. Crosshair sighed and finally called out, "You come to me every five minutes and show me your progress, okay?" Amy stopped and asked, "How do I know when five minutes are over?" "Come here again" Amy came back to Crosshair who then adjusted his comm for her, the bracelet was too wide but adjustable, he adjusted it tight enough that she couldn't lose it. "See that down there on the display?" "Yeah, that's the time, right?" "That's right, smart girl, can you read the clock yet?" "Of course I can," Amy said almost indignantly, "Uncle Echo has even shown me the star charts already" Crosshair smirked and said, "Okay, okay, Tech junior, good. What time is it now?" "12:25" "Very good. So when do you have to come to me next time?" "12:30" Crosshair nodded with satisfaction, "Very good. Go on then."

"Hey boss! We found something, looks like a playground!" Hondo asks in surprise, "A playground? Here in the middle of nowhere?" He turned to Tech, who by now had joined you and was holding your hand, which you squeezed tensely as you realized the pirates were putting one and one together. "Have you two fathered any offspring? Where is the bundle of joy? Oh wait, not with that grumpy sniper, is it? Is this the proper company for a child?" "None of your business," Tech said as calmly as he could, but you could hear the tension in his undertone. "So I'd rather we were all here together in one place," Hondo turned back to the man who had spotted the playground and said, "Take some men with you, scout the area. I want the kid and the sniper here."

Wow it's a real shame there were no more TBB episodes after Pabu, kind of a short season but I guess that's how it goes sometimes! :) Glad to see Rex and Cody rescued Crosshair and brought him back to the group.

i think its very ironic how most (not all) but most of hunter girlies have this enemy complex with crosshair girlies.

like when season 1 was airing, and we were torn up because cross didnt get much screen time, the hunter girlies were like “yess!! hahah suffer!!! hope he dies teehee. he deserves no screentime!!!”

and now hunter hasnt been seen for the last 2 episodes, and suddenly theyre like “please pray for us :( god bless. we have not seen our man in so long :( so sad rn.”

Y'all I am so sorry I have been so not here. Ever since I posted that post after the last The Bad Batch episode saying I felt sick after that ep.
