I found this comment on a post i reblogged, and while i made a reply, it seems i couldnt fit it, so im gonna rewrite it and add to it

i think the outcome is tied to the vaugeness of the wish

Mami wished to be saved, and she was but she ended up being alone because she only wished for herself to be saved, not everyone that was in the accident (i dont blame her since yaknow, she was dying, so she had to act fast)

Sayaka wished for Kyosuke to be healed, bam hes healed, but thats all it did, because thats what she asked for, it couldnt make him love her, she needed to do that herself

Kyoko wish for people to just listen to her dad for once, but i dont think she meant for it to force them to agree

Homura wished she could go back and redo meeting Madoka, but this time shes strong enough to protect her. The strength part is quite vauge, but the time aspect is specific enough that it works as intended. I believe the strength Homura gained was the ability to go back in time while retaining the knowledge she gains from each loop

Madoka's final wish works as well as she intended because she made very specific statements: "I want to erase all witches before they are even born. I will erase every single witch in every universe, past and future with my own hands... I don't care what you call it. All those Magical Girls who held onto their hopes and fought against witches I don't want to see them cry. I want them to stay smiling until the end. If any rule or law stands in my way, I will destroy it. I will rewrite it. That is my prayer. That is my wish. Now grant it, Incubator!"

She was only able to make such a wish after learning the truth as it revealed itself before her very eyes

Other examples come from Magia Record, which has all kinds of wishes:

A good one is Felicia, the girl seeking to kill the witch that killed her parents. In actuallity, Felicia accidentally killed her parents in a fire. When she wished that the fire didn't kill them, they were still dead, but not from the fire. The wish created a false memory of a witch killing her parents, the witch in question being her own, meaning she could never find the culprit because it was her all along

Magia record has many good examples that can help us understand how wishes are granted, but it does seem the more specific you arewhen making your wish, the more likely it will work as intended

So something i like to do when i see an item i really want but am short on money is this:

First find the stairs on the floor (this is key)

Next, go into the bag and (if you have one and remembered to bring it along) locate the item called "Trawl Orb"

This item draws all items on the floor to your location

Oh look, all of Kecleon's overpriced shit is here! Well it's not on the mat so it's free right? ;)

Sadly Kecleon won't agree with our sound logic and go on their way to HUNT YOU DOWN

Good news is, if you did this right you're already at the stairs!

Not so good news is the Kecleon is really fast, so depending on distance and how long you take to get the items and back to the stairs you may get attacked

But if all goes well you're scott free!

Bonus Idea: grab all the items and use a Pure Seed to warp you to the stairs (haven't actually tried this one yet but it just occurred to me as a plausible way to work around Kecleon's anti-stealing measurements)

Edit: Pure Seed does work, but not without some casualties (aka: the party members you leave behind) :(

Comic progress is happening i promise!

I was just having some depression issues during the beginning of this month and it took me a long while to work my motivation back up

also once i’ve finished this preview and maybe chapter one, i’m thinking of doing a little music video animation project about the comic arc

As a comic artist with ADHD and major procrastination issues, I felt this

I keep making plans to stick with a really reasonable schedule and I just kinda... don't?

Also anxiety and the overwhelming feeling of inferior art and story writing

But I still love drawing and the characters and stories I make, so I'll just keep pushing ahead

hey! i’m kicking off the #ADHDInvasion hashtag for adhd awareness month with a comic about CONSEQUENCES, and how my lifelong failure to react to them has been a huge source of frustration for me and for the ppl in my life who rely on me. even worse, it makes me seem apathetic or careless to others, when in reality it weighs really heavily on me - i just struggle to show it.

the best way i’ve found to deal with this is accepting that shame-based motivation DOES NOT WORK AT ALL for me (which is hard to do, when it’s all that’s been modeled for you by parents/educators/bosses) and try to replace fear/shame based consequences with positive outcomes: i.e. instead of “everyone will be so disappointed in me if i don’t do this,” sometimes it’s more helpful to think “if i do this on time, i’ll feel so relieved, and everyone will be happy that i pulled through.”

I made a new character for my original work Not sure who or what he is yet All i know is that he's extremely creepy

Well I put it off for a while but today I started (and finished) the scripting for the Christmas comic
