Semester/End of Term Update
Hi internet people! Tomorrow is my final exam for my last class of the term so I figured I'd do a bit of a recap.
Classes Taken: 5
Credit hours: 19
Certifications gained: 3/10
I started my first term with WGU in October of 2023 and in that time completed 19 credit hours and five classes; two of which were certifications. WGU is a self paced online university which lets me go through classes much faster than I would at a brick & mortar. Being able to do one class at a time has been such a huge lifesaver with my ADHD. I can only focus on one thing at a time. It did kind of kick me in the ass with Linux though, because I couldn't make myself concentrate on it for my life.
I'm tentatively scheduled for 26 credits next term and I'm not 100% sure if I will end up meeting that goal. I hope so though! My next certifications are Network+ and Security+ which should help me get a government sector job and up my pay a little bit.
On another note: I finally finished the Crescent City series from Sarah J Maas last night and woweee is it a rollercoaster. Next reads are the Atlas Complex and a nonfiction duology on Germanic paganism and folk magic.
it's exam day for Network+! I have been studying 2+ hours daily for this stupid cert for weeks on end.
I will pass this test because I am knowledgeable of all areas of the content.
I have the problem solving skills necessary to figure out the answers to the questions.
I prepared adequately for this and I will pass.

Hey guys! I hope everyone’s had a great start to their week.
I’m only working 3 days this week before going on a little weekend away with my boyfriend, so I’m trying to deal with the fact I probably won’t get a lot of work done. Still, I’m prioritising the corrections I was asked to make to my upgrade report as I need to have that over and done with before I go, and I’m very happy to report I’m almost finished! I should be able to wrap it up today.
In terms of experiments, I’m getting back in the lab this week after taking a little break and starting slow with some protein digestions. Nothing too difficult, but I was too stressed and low to do it last week unfortunately.
Otherwise, I plan to continue with some coding and statistics, just to make sure my last day is relatively chill, and when I come back from vacation I can attack the longer tasks again.
I hope everyone is feeling good and refreshed after the weekend. Remember: you can achieve whatever goal you set your mind to, just take it slow!!

Study/code sesh in Barnes and noble after work today. Still in search of a cozy dimly lit coffee shop to study in. Only bad thing about going to school online ;(
I come across a great site to learn coding, I don’t see a lot of people talking about it tho. (There is an app too!)
This site has python 101 for free (and many another, tho course from 102 and up aren’t free)
Its has a cute design and great at explaining the small details that some teachers don’t explain ✨
There is also many exercises in each chapter of the lessons.
You can check more about it from there official site ✨
Happy coding you all 🫶🏻

Trying a new setup! Actually I’ve been trying to build a setup that I liked for the past few months and I think I’m finally getting somewhere! I brought my hourglass from home and it’s already making it feel a bit more like ‘me’

Could not, for the life of me, get the lighting to cooperate in the library. I did, however, get a metric shit ton of work done.
