hii just an amateur editor here!!

i started off with editing for the kpop fandom but i started editing f1 around this year.

i was watching edits and started getting curious about how the transitions were made. so i watched random tutorials and found that common editing softwares/apps included:

-capcut (my personal fav)

&

-after effects

watching youtube tutorials and studying edits frame by frame set me running on the editing hobby. i downloaded capcut and started experimenting with the effects and tools in there!! i feel like capcut is the most beginner friendly because everything is labelled and the app is generally organised well. i went into editing blind and capcut really eased me into understanding effects, graphs and other video editing terms.

i usually find snippets from scenepacks on youtube and sometimes screen recording off insta or twitch (especially for active social media users like lando and charles)

start off with easy simple transitions like fade outs and flashes and i think youll learn so much from there.

Are there f1 edits editors somewhere on here? I know a lot of you work on tiktok but are some of you on tumblr?

If so how did you start? How did you learn? What tools did you use? Where should a beginner begin? Where do you find the footage for edits.

It seems such a steep learning curve so i’m looking for where to start hehe
