I'm reaching out to you right now, not out of joy, but out of fear. Cocoa-fells (riz-gukgak-is-best) is not responding to messages after posting that she was scared of possible actions her homophobic religious parents might take if they figured out that she and her sister were LGBTQ+. Cocoa is a genderfluid biromantic asexual (I'll be using she/her for this post) and her sister is gay.

Cocoa contacted @fangirlsftw (aka Katie) and I on the 8th (we've both known her for about a year and spoke off and on) really worried about her parents finding out her and her sister's identities and how the controlling (taking away of electronics, not allowing contact, etc.) and verbal threats had been escalating with her parents and her friend's parents. Her parents also believe gays are evil. Katie suggested a gofundme to help her raise the funds to get out of the environment with her sister, her best friend (who is also in a bad situation), and her dog. She also agreed to do a daily check in with me and a relative.

After the post went up, Cocoa found out that her mom had gone to her stepdad with suspicions about her and her sister. She said that her parents believed their lies about the LGBTQ+ stuff, but they did find out that her sister was no longer a believer and that Cocoa had doubts (she said that she told them she was leaning towards yes, but still). They appeared to take it remarkably well, but Cocoa still felt anxious due to them nearly finding out everything after successfully hiding her identity for so long.

Cocoa's last check in was October 12th at 10:20pm EST. Her gofundme was taken down and refunds were issued. On October 15th at 5:52pm, I got this message.

The message wasn't written in her normal voice and felt... off, so I reached back out to make sure that the person could confirm that they were Cocoa (and not someone else with her account information). No response. Katie and several of our friends have reached out as well and got no response from her tumblr or discord. Not long after that, Cocoa's tumblr account was deactivated.

If you have any information, please reach out to us. Otherwise, please boost this so that it might be seen by someone who can help.

And before anybody says it, I know that this is the internet. That I could be in for a world of hurt and heckling by the end of all of this. But the truth is, I will never let the possibility of hurt feelings stop me from ensuring that a friend is safe. So please, humor me for now and help however you can.

It's been 6 days since Cocoa last checked in. 72 hours since I received the message that we strongly believe was not from her. We have no new information at this time, BUT we were able to find two of her worried online friends and update them on the situation.

This post is spreading. There is still hope that someone with information or that knows Cocoa in real life will see it. So I'm asking you, please help us. If you're able, you can even share it on other platforms (reddit, twitter, instagram...) as long as you remember to link back to either this post or one of our tumblrs so someone with information has a place to go.

And Cocoa? If you see this, it's gonna be okay. We will find you. I'm not giving up on you. None of us are. We got you.

Random Thought I Had Just Now

Okay, so stay with me here. In Pokemon XY/XYZ, Serena did Pokemon Performances. And I realized quickly how similar they are to the competitions May and Dawn did in their respective seasons. And I remember how Ash participated in one or two of them himself. So: What if Serena became sick before one of her performances and had to get a substitute so she could still (kind of) perform? Imagine there’s a rule that allows a performer/regular performer to let someone fill in for them. WHAT IF Ash was her substitute? I mean, he does have experience from Hoenn and Sinnoh, and because he’s watched Serena do it before, he knows how they work. It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if he stepped in. OR, in another scenario, they could do a double performance together if it was required for one of her usual competitions. I can just IMAGINE Ash nailing a Pokemon Trivia Quiz, or him performing with Serena in MATCHING OUTFITS!!

WHY HAS NO ONE THOUGHT OF THIS?!? I would love to see more fanart, I mean there barely is anything!

For anyone that is able to donate, here is the info on how to do it:

Obviously I know most of you can’t and that’s fine. But if you’d like to spread the word then please do!! There are currently 500 students who need housing for the foreseeable future. Two student housing residences on campus have burnt down so that’s 200 students that won’t even have a place to go back to once the fires are out.

As of last night (18 April), there were 3 buildings that were burnt. One of which was the fucking library of all things.

If you’re able to donate, please do so!! Or spread the word so that it can reach someone who can donate.

!!! SPOILERS FOR THE NEWEST EPISODES OF STEVEN UNIVERSE FUTURE !!!

THIS IS A WARNING!!

So... the new Steven Universe Future episodes, ey??

HOLY DIAMOND AUTHORITY!!!

Okay so first of all for some context: Me and my sister who are both fans of Steven Universe just watched the newest episodes of Steven Universe Future. And we. Lost. Our. Shits!

I will describe the episodes so again, SPOILERS AHEAD!!! LAST WARNING!!

Mr. Universe: A nice episode where we learn more about Greg's past before he became Mr. Universe. I did not think he got that name from a song, but I like that! Strict family and rules... damn, never saw that coming. And Steven and his pink outbursts again... dang. I hope he sees a therapist... really, I hope he does...

Fragments: This is.... asdfghjfjfid... I can't even! He doesn't want to tell the gems, so what does he do instead... seek out Jasper!... I immediately thought it was a bad idea... But anyway, Steven trained with her, magically grew taller(?), and showed how strong he really is. And when he laughed... it did not feel like our usually happy Steven... reminded me of an evil laugh coming from a villain... He came back to the house in a hurry, didn't pay any mind to the gems and went right to the bathroom. I first thought he was going to pull out Jasper's gem and that he only poofed her... boy was I wrong. He had in fact SHATTERED her! Steven Universe SHATTERED a gem! He who never felt comfortable with the idea of shattering in the first place! Both me and my sister's eyes widened at the sight. Jasper came back though (in a new style) and... bowed to him... cuz of his strength and called him "my diamond".... ho-ly shit.

The 4 finale episodes comes next Friday... I am not ready for this show to end... but one thing that will make me happy is showing Spinel and the Diamonds at least one more time! Clearly one of the best cartoons of the decade... in my humble opinion of course...

I don't have anything else to say, I am flabbergasted! Well, not anything else except GET STEVEN TO THERAPY ALREADY!!!

This is my contribution to the newest Sanders Sides episode "Putting Others First" or "Selfishness Vs. Selflessness Part 2". Let me just say that the new episode was GREAT!!

Okay, here me out... Deceit isn't a fully bad side in my head. He helps Thomas in his own weird way. He even showed a little humor and a good part of himself in the newest episode! Heck, he trusted them with his name! And speaking of name... Janus... I love it! I always liked Deceit, no matter how slimy of a snek boi he was and is. So I just gained more respect for him after watching the newest episode.

I could probably theorize and discuss more, but I wanna keep this short. I can't wait for the next one, but of course now Thomas needs to take a break and relax a little while. He's been working his butt of to get the episode out. He even halted the livestream to get it out! Anyway, take your time to relax @thatsthat24 and stay safe in these times!
