"Something's Wrong" is a banger song. Am I going to try and make a silly music video? Yes. Will it actually get done? No idea, but the idea has been in my head for weeks now.
Worldbuilding has my brain ping-ponging around with ideas. I've gone from space pirates, to monarchies, to fleet creation. 14-year-old me would be so proud.

character design is hard because I want it to be complex but simple - why so hard
everyday I look at other people's art and I cry a little because I want the result but I don't know how to get there
the peaceful wind of nature - Collab with @anasabdin - thank you so much for animation and for turning this art into life - it was a great experience to work together with you! ✨
Make your own galaxy, I said. It'll be fun, I said.
aka I've been numbering sectors and solar systems for a couple days now
Tolkien is seen as this great inventory of worldbuilding, and my man was literally just taking mythology from other places and slapping new names on it.
I'm reading a Tolkien encyclopedia (yes, I am that type of nerd), and half of his mythology is just revised Norse myth and I am here for it.
In short, don't be afraid to take the stories that have been told for centuries and revise it into something new and fresh. That is what literature is all about.
got randomly tagged but sure why not. here are some of my favorite songs :)

the party: a tiefling rogue pirate a human noble fighter a harrigon (rabbit) bard a grung (frog) necromancer (that's me) a half-orc barbarian and an elf martyr (dm npc)
Necromancer: We're underground no one will see anything, but GOD!
Bard: I’m not a total pig, because I'm a rabbit.
Rogue: Wrap up his crotch and stick him in a bag. It's not that complicated.
Bard: You died?!? I would have brought you flowers. Necromancer: They're homophobic.
Bard about Necromancer: If he wants to get the grungussy, than I'm not going to stop him.
Demon asking Fighter for a sacrifice: How about an arm? Fighter: I'm attached, thank you.
Necromancer: Believe it or not, as a grung, I am also very moist.
Martyr: Eternal darkness is befitting of good rest.
Necromancer: I think I've grown 40 years older. Bard: You look 40 years older. Necromancer: You smell 40 years older.
Necromancer: I don't want to go first. Rogue: You're going third, dear. Necromancer: I don't want to go third.
love that I can crank out 2k words for a random word prompt but can’t write 200 words for my actual book

Derivakat's music has only gone up in quality since the dsmp days and I wish people recognized her more than just "white streak in my hair now" (as fantastic as that song is). Here are some of my favorite tracks rn:
Castaway - space vibes, introspective but intense, perfect for a main character
Yru - intense orchestral, beautiful lyrics, reaching for something more, longing for someone, crank-it and scream-it music
Fall - doomed lovers, that intense longing, like a clock as fate ticks down
Boom - giving Jinx (Arcane), great for fast-paced scenes, definitely would make a sick fight scene, back beat slaps
Reign - villain arc, gaslight gatekeep girlboss time
Her recent stuff has screamed ꜱᴘᴀᴄᴇ and I will get people to see it.
oh this is gorgeous and I need it in my life
bought this gem secondhand and can’t get over how stunning it is 🪐 reblog is okay, don’t repost/use
they're so pretty
NASA released the clearest pictures yet of our neighbours in the solar system

Honourable mention
Finn was literally born to be a Jedi. Force-sensitive, escaped from a life of trauma, a passion to help people. He literally has the same kind of build-up as Luke (Force-sensitive, escaped from what could have been his death, a passion to help people). The missed opportunity for that man to hold a lightsaber haunts me to this day.
Here’s one of the alphabets I created for my sci-fi/fantasy world of Atelis.
This is the Core Language used by the four Core planets of the Raylosian Warrior Order (RWO). I based it off of several little symbols I’ve used for years. The first one was the “e” based off the family crest idea I had for my main character, Aisne Etorna. Because I hate the design (lol), I’ve scrapped it, but decided to flip it on its side to keep the idea there. The vibe is based of the A symbol I have for “Atelis.”
As this is the main language for the RWO, I wrote out the motto and the creed for the organization:
"The Raylosian Warrior Order" "Motto: On the authority of the great creator Raylos, the Raylosian Warrior Order protects and contains Crux Asteria’s magic in the pursuit of peace, knowledge, and freedom."
"Magic at our Core, Courage in our Hearts"
I had a lot of fun with this and ended up creating a second alphabet for the Cloranus Empire. I definitely might make more, but I at least wanted an alphabet! Worldbuilding is so much fun :)
(also if I made a couple mistakes, no I didn't lol)
sometimes you just need to go to the beach and then everything’s ok
I need more superhero stories. Give me original superhero content that gives the vibes of Spiderman. Give me political commentary and the effects of superheroes on society. Give me hidden identities and high stakes. Give me characters with trauma. Give me complicated villains who have morals and genuinely think they're right. Give me heroes who have moral crises and have to determine where the stand in the world. Give me a classic villain vs. hero fight. GIVE MORE SUPERHEROES.
i love a drunk father-figure who cares deeply for his adopted kid
Clerk Carmine brought Lucy Gray a plant he'd uprooted from the lake, with pointy leaves and small white flowers. "Hey, you found some katniss. Good work, CC." Coriolanus wondered if he meant it to be decorative, like the Grandma'am's roses, but she immediately examined the roots, from which small tubers hung. "Little too early yet." "Yeah," Clerk Carmine agreed. "For what?" asked Coriolanus. "For eating. In a few weeks, these will grow into decent-sized potatoes, and we can roast them," said Lucy Gray. "Some people call them swamp potatoes, but I like katniss better. Has a nice ring to it."
Lucy Gray was the katniss uprooted a little too early, but Katniss was uprooted right on time. It was not a decorative plant, just as Lucy Gray was not a decorative trophy to be hung on Coriolanus' arm. It was a symbol of hunger defeated, as Katniss is roasted to set fire to the rebellion. Some people called her a girl, but Katniss had a better ring to it.
“What if I write it and it’s bad-”
WHAT IF YOU WRITE IT AND ITS GOOD? WHAT IF YOU WRITE IT AND ITS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED? WHAT THEN????
