i want this force of a man to give me his babies
Baby gojo reacts to: nanami!
idk if you did that already but just in case! Loved the last one too, thank you again sm! đ©”
âdonâtâ donât paw at my glasses, please.â
nanami stares at the squirming baby almost apprehensively as he pins his little arms. âthatâs not polite. here, you have to stay put.â
gojo has left his baby to him as he and you go on a date. why did he even agree? the clown told him both of you will be back before evening and you even apologized to him for the trouble. for old timeâs sake, he relents.
ââŠ?â baby tilts his head at him, and then he reaches out to his tie and grabs it. âwaaa!â
âoh you.â nanami inwardly facepalms as the little thing happily plays with his tie. heâs about to reprimand him again when he realizes the kid is quiet as he fiddles with it. nanami decides to give in.
âat first glance you look calm but you resemble gojo greatlyâŠâ nanami sighs. âbut of course, youâre his kid.â
baby turns to him as he smiles. âbwa?â
ânothing. grow up well, okay? donât turn into your father too much.â

Pairing: husband! Gojo x reader
Word Count: 1,6k
Synopsis: When his skin gets busted by your sheer excitement, it doesn't feel right to Satoru to use his reversed technique and simply heal.
Warnings: fluff fluff fluff, Yuji's "death" scnene in season 1, blood lol
Thank you dear anon for aggressively reminding me that it's canon for Gojo to not have any scars, it really helped me cooking up that fic! đ€
Every step feels like hell, the only thing that keeps you from collapsing onto the floor being the reassuring hand of your husband on your shoulder.
This canât be true, itâs just impossible. Yuji Itadori was a member of Jujutsu High for a few weeks, just started to get to know this world better. This was supposed to be an easy mission, the three of them should have made it out alive with ease. But apparently, Sukuna decided to show up. And apart from injuring Megumi, he violently took Yujiâs life by ripping his heart out. A heart made of pure gold, a heart so precious that you couldnât help but care for that boy the minute you saw him.
But now heâs dead.
Your hands start shaking immediately the minute you step into this cursed room you visited far too often, gazing at Yujiâs body covered by a cloak. This isnât a bad dream. No, the blood covering the white cloak tells you more than urgently that Yuji Itadori isnât there anymore.
âPlease tell me that thereâs a chance heâll come backâ, you mutter.
Oh, how much both Shoko and Satoru hate to see you like that. Itâs not a secret to anyone at Jujutsu High how deeply you care about your students, loving them like your own children. Of course, this isnât the first time youâve seen a student die in front of your eyes. In times like these, jujutsu sorcerers pass away like flies. But Satoru knows what youâve seen in Yuji, that he somehow reflected parts of yourself. And still, you werenât able to protect that boy, both Satoru and you coming too late to rescue him.
âI really wish I could, but he shows no signs of life. Iâll move on to autopsy now. If you want to say goodbyeâŠMaybe do it now and leave afterwards.â
Satoru wraps his arms around you just in time before you slide onto the ground, holding you tightly against his chest.
âThis is not fairâ, you breathe out, head still not able to accept Yujiâs farewell.
He was so young, so full of life. He doesnât deserve to die, he still had so much ahead of him. There needs to be something you are able to do. Arenât Satoru or Shoko able to use their cursed technique?
âHe didnât show any signs of life for hours by now, (y/n). Not even Shoko or me are able to bring him back to life. Iâm so sorryâ, he mumbles against your ear out of nowhere.
So this is really how it ended? With Yuji getting killed by none other than Sukuna himself? Like in trance, your wobbly legs carry you to the autopsy table his lifeless body lays on. You want to stretch out your arm, want to look at that precious boy one last time before Shoko does her job.
But you canât.
âI canât look at himâ, you blurt out.
With a swift motion, you turn around and burry your face against your husbandâs chest.
âItâs okay babe, just look at me, okay? You donât have to do this.â
Satoruâs arms keep you from losing yourself completely, soak up your falling tears while his head rests against yours. Oh Yuji, youâll never be forgotten. All the laughterâs both of you shared, his potential, how he always cared about others. You will think about him every time the sun starts to rise, when new students get greeted, when you kill another curse-
âHey, whatâs up? Huh, what are both of you doing here, Gojo-sensei?â
This voiceâŠ
That was Yuji Itadori.
Out of instinct you turn around rapidly, not even noticing how the back of your head crushes into Satoruâs forehead with full force. He sees starts, blood taking his sight in an instant while his mind isnât even able to comprehend it was Yuji who just spoke.
âYuji! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Youâre back!â, you babble out, embracing the boy in a tight hug.
âTo be honest I donât even know what happened last and Iâm pretty hungryâŠOh, youâre bleeding Gojo-sensei!â
YouâreâŠbleeding? You turn around in confusion, following Yujiâs eyes.
âOMG SATORU!â, you cry out, the sight of your husband covered in his own blood shocking you to your core.
When did that happenedâŠWas itâŠyou?
âI guess you were so happy to see Itadori that youâve forgot about me standing behind youâ, he mutters amused.
âBabe Iâm so sorry, I didnât mean to hurt you. I just got so carried away and-â
âDonât worry about me. Reversed technique, remember? Iâll be whole in seconds. Just look after Yuji, I love you.â
You let out the breath you were holding, the bright smile forming on your gorgeous face making Satoru forget the world around him for a moment. You are so caring, so passionate. And you are his wife.
âIâm a lucky manâ, he mutters to himself while pressing the tissue Shoko handed him against his wound.
There you sit, gently caressing Yujiâs cheeks and asking him over and over if heâs okay.
âYou really are. This isnât a problem for you, right?â, Shoko questions with one glance at the laceration on his forehead.
The shocked look on your face replays itself over and over in his mind, lets a chuckle escape his lips. With the help but his reversed technique, it would be way too easy to get rid of that minor wound. Within seconds, there wouldnât even be a scar left, just his flawless skin. ButâŠit was you who did this to him out of sheer excitement. It sure would be nice to look into the mirror and get reminded of you daily, right?
âOh, I might as well keep thatâ, he replies with a sly grin.
- a few weeks later -
You sit on the edge of the couch, desperately waiting for that time of the day. Even after being married to that force of a man for 4 years now, you find yourself getting all excited when he announces that heâs going to shower. Because going to shower means that heâll come out just wearing boxers with his body still a little wet and his hair sticking to his face in that delicate way.
âStill waiting for me, huh? Itâs not like you can see me naked every time you want, babeâ, he finally purrs.
Your heart skips a beat. This manâŠHow is it even allowed to look so breathtakingly gorgeous? The way a single droplet of water runs down his cheek, how he gently strokes his damp hair back.
Wait. You squint your eyes a little harder. What is that on his forehead?
âWhat do you have there?â, you question, rubbing your own hand against the ride side of your forehead.
This almost looks like a scar. But Satoru shouldnât have scars. After all, heâs able to use reversed technique, healing himself in the matter of seconds. Is it just dirt? No, that definitely looks like scar tissue.
âOh, itâs nothingâ, he immediately tries to brush you off, pulling his hair back into his face.
âNo way Romeo, come back here right nowâ, you demand.
With a swift motion you lift yourself off the couch and hunt after him.
âIs that a scar?â
âIt might beâŠâ
âWhy didnât you just heal it? Show it to me!â
When you finally catch him, you slick his hair back again. Only to be greeted what indeed looks like a middle-sized scar. But why and how did this happen, why didnât he just heal like he usually does?
âYou really donât know where this came from?â, he challenges you.
You blink a few times. What the hell is your husband talking about?
âWhy would I know where this came from?â
âBecause it was you, (y/n)?â, he playfully bites back.
You? Your mind races, searching for a single moment you ever hurt your husband. You were never really able to even hurt him, no matter how berserk you went in training. When was the last time you even wounded him? But wait, there was this one time you made him bleed, that one time whenâŠ
âThis was when Yuji woke up-â
âEXACTLY!â, Satoru cries out and gives you a round of applause.
âBut why did you keep it? You said youâd be able to heal itâŠâ
âBecause I didnât want to. This scar right hereâ
Gently, he takes your hand in his and traces the soft scar with your fingertips.
âwill always remind me of what a wonderful human being you are.â
Oh. Your eyes turn glossy in an instant, staring up at your loving husband while he gifts you with the most breath-taking smile youâve ever seen.
âSatoruâ, you breathe out.
There is no time to waste. You wrap your longing arms around his tall frame tightly, aiming to never let him go again.
âEvery time I look into the mirror, I think about my wonderful wifeâ, he mutters into your hair.
âYâknow, you could just take a picture of me or something-â
âNo. I would rather just keep that scar of my wonderful wife smacking me over a student.â
You hit him playfully over his comment, a giggle escaping your precious lips.
âCome on, it wasnât like thatâŠâ
âIâll always tell the story like this.â

- he could only hold the world for so long, it was about time his body caved in ; aka, the two times you're reminded of his humanity. feat. gojo satoru & gn!reader genre : hurt/comfort , happy ending w.c. : 1.8k
warnings: spoilers for jjk s2 ep5 note : i hate goe joe satoru.
gojo satoru.
you didn't even need to see him to know who he is; he is the revered member of the gojo clan blessed enough to be born with both the six eyes and the infinity cursed technique and is a one in a lifetime miracle.
from the beginning of his life, gojo had been the strongest sorcerer in existence. with both blessed techniques at his will, he was near unstoppable and was worthy of shouldering the problems of jujustu society from a young age, as decided by the gojo clan.
and, for someone as blessed and impenetrable as he is, gojo had never felt the emotional strife of losing someone dear to him.
there are two times that you recall ever witnessing gojo satoru lose his composure, where you have seen the blessed one who holds the power of the gods in the palm of his hands and is always one step ahead of everyone else fall to his knees as the weight of the world finally takes its toll on his poor soul.
the first time was when getou suguru had betrayed jujutsu tech. you weren't sure of the details; you were in the middle of a mission and had returned to the news of your classmate and friend becoming a wanted criminal.
honestly, hearing it firsthand did not feel real to you. getou suguru was someone you had always admired. he was someone who not only had a powerful cursed technique, but was also a skilled fighter and knew how to use his technique to the fullest despite coming from a normal family rather than one of the prestigious families that were well-known in jujustu society.
you had shared smiles with him, stories of the crazy memories made while exorcising curses and the near-death experiences shared while on missions together.
and you knew gojo and getou were near inseparable during their time at jujutsu tech; you couldn't imagine the pain gojo was going through with the news of his one and only becoming a murderer wanted in all of jujutsu society.
you find gojo satoru alone in getou's old dorm room. it's empty; the once neat, but lived in dorm now completely void of any evidence of being lived in with the exception of a framed picture of your class left on the nightstand.
getou and gojo tower over you and ieri, but it's all smiles from the four of you. because of the small frame and the number of people in the photo, you're all squished together. though, it's not like any of you minded.
a perfect picture of youth; the most beautiful moment in life.
the frame is held in gojo's hand as he sits on getou's dorm bed. you can see his fingers clench the frame as frustration settles into his bones, before he relaxes once more.
"it's not your fault, you know," you say gently, breaking the silence and hopefully through the roaring storm that you know is brewing within gojo's head. you step into the room and join gojo on the bed; he doesn't move and he doesn't face you.
"no one saw it coming." you try to reassure him, but you know any attempts at this point are futile. gojo does not respond, a flood of memories flying by crystalline eyes as he tries to figure out when it went so wrong.
the silence is permeable as reality settles into gojo. his lips part, a shaky breath, and he's speaking again.
"i should've seen it coming," he whispers. there's a clear anger in his voice, though you know full well exactly who it's directed at. "i was his friend and i didn't even realize he was hurting alone." His voice cracks.
"i didn't even do anything to save him."
it is then that you begin to see gojo as who he is. he isn't an untouchable god who feared nothing, who had enemies that couldn't even lift a finger to hurt him if they even dared. this gojo beside you isn't an omnipotent god, he's just a kid like you; he's human. he's vulnerable, even if the elders believe otherwise, for his friends are his one and only achilles' heel and the key to his humanity.
not quite knowing the words to comfort him, you reach over to hold his hand. it isn't much, but you know firsthand that just having someone beside you to help support your pain is better than shouldering everything alone.
the tight squeeze of your hand and the quite sniffles beside you are all you need as a reminder that gojo satoru is not a god; he is only gojo satoru.
the second time gojo felt genuine fear was when he nearly lost you.
as a result of a curse that was underestimated for second-class sorcerors to take, you had become collateral for a simple mistake from the higher ups. of course, mistakes could just be that, but everyone knows better.
this was set up so they could easily dispose of you and rule your death as a mere 'accident.' the higher ups needed you gone as the deemed your existence a hinderance to gojo's full potential, a dam in the middle of the river.
lucky for you, you made quick work of the curse before collapsing with the only words you heard being a shout of your name.
the bright lights of the jujutsu high infirmary are the first thing you see when your eyes slowly flutter open. your vision is blurry and the world is still spinning as you regain consciousness. with hesitance, you slowly sit up despite your body aching and telling you to lay back down.
it is only when a firm hand presses against your chest and pushes you down do you actually do so.
crystalline blue meets your gaze. they're playful and full of youth, a pair of blue eyes that you're most familiar with. but theres a shadow of solemnity behind those bright irises and you know exactly why.
"about time you woke up," gojo speaks up, ruffling your hair with his hand. they're roughened from years of training and fighting, but there are no other blemishes that stain the purity of his hands. "i thought you finally had enough of me and decided to kick the bucket, dear." there's a light, jesting tone to his voice as he speaks. he's laughing, though you can see the redness underneath his eyes as he brushes off your near death experience as a joke.
"and leave you alone to torment the students? as if," you jab back with a smile of your own. "i wouldn't ever want to wish that on your students. fushiguro would drag me back from the dead if i left him alone with you."
gojo's bottom lip juts out and his brows furrow in a pout as you say this and you can't help but laugh a little on your own.
"but i know you'll miss me, so i won't die just yet," you reassure your white haired companion. your hand reaches over to hold his own and gives it a gentle squeeze, a reminder that you're alive and still breathing beside him as your pulse and your warmth bleed onto his own.
his hand squeezes yours tightly, as he did years ago, and his bottom lip is caught between his teeth as he bites down onto the plush skin. his eyes aren't focused on you anymore and instead focus on anywhere but you as the reality of the situation settles into his bones.
"promise?" gojo asks, his voice a mere whisper.
he already lost one of his closest friends years ago and you witnessed that heartbreak with your own eyes as you had comforted gojo when he needed it most. you couldn't imagine how his fragile heart would break again if he had lost you just now.
despite being the strongest, you know that not being able to fully protect the ones he held close was one of gojo's biggest weaknesses as much as he tried to hide it.
but you know that you couldn't give him any empty promises knowing the work you're doing. it would only give him false hope and the both of you know that better than anyone else.
you don't answer him and instead pull his hand to your lips, pressing a soft kiss onto his skin. with a gentle tug, the hand held by gojo is pulled into his chest as he cradles your palm. his fingers intertwine with yours and your heart swells at the small action.
it is then that you meet crystalline blue once more, though this time they are unwavering as they firmly stand their ground against the hands of fate that, at any moment, could cruelly tear the two of you apart.
"don't leave me," gojo begs. "you can't leave me until the world has turned for the better, for us and for the youth of jujutsu society. i'll make it happen so..."
the once invincible sorcerer brings your hand up to his lips and he presses a kiss along your knuckles, reciprocating the act you did before.
"please, don't leave me."
gojo leans down and presses a kiss to your forehead. it's soft and hesitant, but you know at this point his fear of your life nearly slipping through his fingers has caught up to him. he pulls away, only to lean down again to kiss you.
your heart flutters feeling his lips kiss yours and you can tell from the way his lips barely ghost of yours that gojo is scared you'll disappear from him if he moves the wrong way. like a warm wave easing the worries that burrow into his entire being, your hand that's free from the one held in gojo's reaches up to cup his face. your thumb caresses his cheek and bring him closer to you, reassuring him that you won't slip away from him should he kiss you too hard.
gojo pulls away from the kiss with cheeks warm and his eyes, now a calming blue that held the stars you love so much, glint with satisfaction and relief.
though, the sweet and tender moment shared between lovers is ruined the moment gojo opens his mouth again.
"don't break my promise, okay? i don't care if you die, i'll die with you and haunt you forever as punishment for dying first, okay?" your white haired boyfriend urges as he leans his forehead against you, blue now an annoyance to you as he forces you to make eye contact with him.
your hand pushes his face away with a snort, ignoring his whining complaints as you do so.
though, it's not like you would ever willingly die first. you couldn't leave gojo satoru alone, your soul couldn't bear the burden of knowing you would shatter the glass that makes gojo's heart.
summary: Logan has a nightmare and finds comfort his his new child.
warnings: fluff, comfort, his child is adopted
Part if the Moonlight series (coming soon lol)
a/n: So i did things a little backwards. This should have been a oneshot after the og story of them finding the baby but I got this idea in my head and I couldnât shake it so youâre getting some things out of order. You donât need any context other than shes a baby and adopted tbh. Her name is Diana and i did take that from league of legends
Logan shoots up, chest pounding as a nightmare lingers in his head. He doesn't remember what this one was about. Probably just like all the other ones. His dead friends, the blood on his hands. Something along those lines.
He feels you stir next to him and freezes. You've been absolutely exhausted the last couple of weeks with the baby so the last thing he wants for you is to wake up because of him. He gently rubs your back, watching you relax under his touch until you're back to a nice deep sleep.
Loud cries start to come from the next room. His brows furrow as he pulls off the sheets.
Worry building in his chest as he hurries to the next room. Is something wrong? Is she sick? Hurt? He breathes a sigh of relief when he sees her in her bed. He places his hand on her forehead to check for a fever. No sign of sickness which is good but he's hyper aware as he checks her over.
"Hey there kid, what's with all the crying?" The crying starts to subside the moment she lays eyes on Logan.
He shushes her gently. Picking her up from her crib and holding her in his arms. He walks around in circles, gently bouncing her in his arms.
She's wearing some stupid onesie that Wade bought her. Red to match his suit. Stuffed animals sit perfectly in her crib but she clutches hard to one in particular. A damn wolverine plushie that you had searched forever for. He rolled his eyes at the idea but the moment Diana saw that stupid plush she squealed with happiness. Now it's her best friend.
"See no tears, no reason for tears. I'm here." He wipes away the stray tears from her chubby little cheeks.
He moves to put her back in bed but her faces scrunches up like she's going to cry again so he keeps her in his arms. He slowly sinks into the rocking chair sat next to her bed. Cradling her as he slowly rocks back and forth. The chair creaks beneath his weight and he makes a note to get a stronger chair.
"You hungry?" He tries to feed her the bottle you keep for emergencies but she won't budge. She doesn't need a diaper change so he has no clue why she woke up this time.
âDid you have a nightmare?" He asks softly as she grabs onto his finger. Looking up at him with big glassy eyes.
"That's okay, I get them too." She babbles nonsense in response.
Sometimes Logan wonders what she dreams about. Does she have memories of her parents? Does she ever miss them? Can she even miss them? She's just a baby. A poor, innocent child who was left for dead. The idea makes his blood boil. How could you just leave a child like that?
They're born into this world helpless and the people who were supposed to protect them left because their child happened to be born a mutant. He takes a deep breath and tries to calm himself. He was upsetting her, like she could sense his anger.
"Sorry kid, didn't mean to make you sad." She puts his finger in her mouth, sucking on it like a binky.
"Having fun there?" She gurgles and he takes that as a yes.
She shows no sign of being tired which is bad news for him and you. You just got her on a good sleep schedule and now it might get ruined.
"I know how scary nightmares can be." He brushes her little cheek and she giggles.
"But I promise they can't hurt you. I won't let anything hurt you." Her eyes start to flutter shut, the grip on his finger loosen as she listens to him talk. He moves her so that her head is resting on his chest. His hand rubbing up and down her back. She yawns and snuggles closer to him.
"Back to sleep kiddo, there we go."
"Logan?" Your sleepy voice calls from the door. You rub your eyes as you take in the view of Logan holding Diana in his arms.
"Nightmare.â He says looking at you. You walk over and gently rub his arm.
âYou or her?â He doesnât answer. You stay with them for a while. Sheâs fast asleep by now but she looks so comfortable in Loganâs arms that you canât even think of separating the two.
âDo you want to talk about it?â No. He doesnât. Heâd rather focus on the good in his life than remember the past. In fact holding Diana puts him at peace. Quieting his mind in ways normally only you can.
âMaybe sheâs good for more than just throwing up and making a mess.â Logan jokes and you lightly hit his arm.
âShut up you love her.â He stares at her sleeping face.
Sheâs looks so peaceful. He does love her. So much. So much that it scares him. What if she grows up and thinks heâs a monster? What if he fucks up somewhere and ruins his perfect girls life? As far as heâs concerned everything he touches gets ruined. He still wakes up in disbelief that youâre by his side everyday.
âOkay Princess, we need to get you back to bed.â You try and take her our of his arms but he pulls back.
âNo.â He holds her protectively to his chest. A flash of anger in his eyes fades as soon as it comes.
âIâm sorry. I. I just need a little longer.â He feels guilty for snapping but you understand.
You sit on the floor and rest your head on his lap. He doesnât even try to tell you to go back to bed because he knows you wonât listen. So he sits back and watches his girl for a little longer.
His perfect family.

Let me break our hearts for a bit. I think weâve all seen the other side of this where Nanami is⊠very excited for the process of children, if you catch my drift lol but what about the other side? What about when thereâs a large amount of negative tests followed by fertility issues, and the partner feels every single overwhelming emotion about their body and their struggle? Note: If you have struggled or are struggling with fertility, this may not be for you. I have other fluffier/cute/positive posts and so many great accounts have amazing stories, so take care of yourself and maybe read those instead. Iâll immediately follow this up with a cuter post <3 If you know anyone who may be struggling, be the help they may need and start by simply listening. I am aware from experiences with close family and friends that fertility issues do not always have a happy ending, but this fictional story will end as a hopeful one. If you decide to read this, thank you. If not, Iâll see you on the next post babes đ€ Warnings and tags: nanami kento x fem!reader, fertility issues, sad, angst, comforting nanami, hopeful and happy ending ~3.0k words
You lay in bed in a fetal position in the darkness of your home. You curled your body as much as you could as you let the tears fall. You were tired of the loud sobbing and your body and throat could not handle another sob. But the tears did not stop. You felt a wet spot underneath your head and you shift your head forward to avoid the cold spot. When you finally think that the tears are running out, you hear Nanamiâs car pulling into the driveway. You drag the bed throw to cover yourself and wipe the new tears. You werenât scared of Nanamiâs reaction, he had held and taken care of you after the past tests, but you were scared of any underlying disappointment.
âGod, Iâm trying. Iâm trying, Iâm trying,â you let out one last sob before Nanami enters the house.
You hear the key enter the lock and you quickly wipe your tears and cover most of your face with the blanket. You hear his every movement and you can almost see exactly what heâs doing as he moves around the house.
It was not uncommon for Nanami to come home to a dark house. He knew you were a napper and he actually enjoyed waking you up after making dinner. Something about your sleepy eyes while eating dinner and sighing after each delicious bite made his heart flutter. One of the smaller things you did that he absolutely adored. He turns on the hallway light and peeks into the bedroom to see you in bed in the dark. The house feels colder than usual so Nanami turns on the heater and heads into the room to put a thicker blanket on you. He rubs and kisses your hair before heading out and closing the bedroom door enough to only leave a sliver opened.
Nanami grabs extra clothes from the laundry room to change before heading to the kitchen to start dinner.
As Nanami quickly glances into the trash after throwing out veggie scraps, he notices the familiar blue box and the tips of two sticks peeking out. He feels his heart stop for a second, but reaches for a napkin before digging into the can to move the box to read it. Another pregnancy test. Nanami reaches for the test sticks and immediately sees one single line on the first and one bold âNot Pregnantâ on the second. His heart rate speeds up and he immediately wants to run to you but heâs reminded of your devastation the last time you got a negative. He had never seen you so upset and had to convince you to let him call your manager as your emergency contact to let them know you would be out for the next couple days. Nanami puts the sticks back and covers the tests and box with the napkin and vegetable scraps. He turns off the stove and washes his hands before heading back to the room.
Without the hallway light on, you could not tell if the door was fully opened or closed. You didnât care either way, you just wanted to be in the dark and not face Nanami yet. You moved the blankets over your head again to return to your safe space. You begin to take slow deep breaths, slow inhale, slow exhale. Slow inhale, slow exhale. Slow inhale, slow exhale. It is not the quietest breathing exercise so you cannot hear Nanami slowly open the door and walk into the room. He sees the familiar sight, a bundle shaped like you with the blankets moving to the sound of your breathing. He softly puts a knee on the bed before crawling over to you. The movement on the bed stopped your breathing completely and you hoped, no -- you prayed, that you didnât forget to cover the tests.
âMy love,â Nanami says just above a whisper before softly wrapping himself around you, while making sure he does not burst your bubble within the safety of your blanket. He feels your body shudder once his arms are completely wrapped around you and gives you a moment to calm down. Once he feels your breathing even out again, he taps on the blanket and asks if he could come in. You loosen the grasp on the blanket and he slips underneath to hug you from behind.
You thought you had finally run out of tears, but feeling Nanamiâs arms around you and his scent so close for the first time that evening, you felt them gather again. Thank the heavens that it was dark and he was not facing you because you felt your face contort in a terribly painful way followed by the loudest sobs to have ever left your body. Nanami pulls you in unbelievably close, as close as he would when your anxiety left you shaking and desperate. You start writhing in what feels like emotional agony and he pushes his entire body weight to your back, pinning you down. It was something he had learned to do after years of being together. You would jokingly call Nanami your human weighted blanket but you were thankful that he could detect when you needed to feel him.
âTwo years, Ken, two fucking years,â you let out between sobs, âwhy canât I do it, Ken? Why canât I--â Your words cut short.
âShh shh, no no no, baby, please. Not you, Iâm sorry, please donât think that. We can do it, thereâs more we can do,â Nanami rubs your arms and kisses your neck and shoulders, âPlease, I promise thereâs more. Itâs ok, itâll be ok. Weâll be ok.â
Nanami wasnât sure what he was saying, and to be honest, he knew he would say anything that could help you. But what would? He didnât know what exactly to say after so many negatives. On the other hand, you werenât exactly sure what you wanted to hear after so many negatives.
Time flew by underneath that blanket. Nanami had eventually moved the blanket down to let you breathe cool air after a layer of sweat covered you. He ran his fingers through your hair to try to cool you down and shushed and hummed against your skin while he still held you. You could feel your back and his front wet with both of your sweat and the spot underneath your head drenched with a much larger spot of your tears.
You donât know what time it is and you donât even have the energy to tilt your head up to look at the clock. All you know is that you have finally stopped sobbing and there really was nothing left inside you.Â
Nanami moves the hair from the nape of your neck and plants the softest kiss. âLetâs take a break.â
You turn in his arms, eyes wide and thinking, a break? From this⊠from us?
He could see the gears turning and panic in your eyes before hugging you again from your side and saying, âNo no, baby not that break. Never. Never never, I promise. I mean from the tests. Letâs stop buying and taking any tests. Letâs toss any extra ones around the house, too.â
Your heart knew that Nanami adored you and would not leave you, but your foggy brain that was convincing you that you were not enough left you thinking he would leave. The thought lasted a second, but the panic was unbearable.
You shift to face Nanami and tightly hug him. So tight. He felt as if you were hugging him in fear of him running away. He knew of "men" that would leave their partners after fertility issues and he detested every single one of those disgusting beings that dared take space as a bag of bones roaming the earth. He could never leave you, especially for something nobody had any control of. He loved you, adored you, and with or without certain possibilities, he wanted to be there with you.
Nanami planned to see your crows feet and smile lines deepen. He wanted to retire as soon as you both could and travel to see everything together. He wanted to look at your joined hands and notice the sun spots and new wrinkles. He wanted to see your entire face wrinkle and your steps become slower. He wanted to dance with you in the middle of the kitchen and feel your heartbeat match his. He wanted it all and he needed to remind you, even if it wasnât with words at that exact moment. Nanami hugs you back like he had before in response to your own bone-crunching embrace.
You feel defeated, but loved by the man that said âI doâ to you and promised everything for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, and in sickness and in health. You finally nod to his request.

You wake up early that morning with the driest throat and what feels like the worldâs puffiest eyes. You look at the clock: 4:52am. Nanami is beside you, but you see he fell asleep in a sitting position against his pillows with his laptop on his lap. You feel a small towel beside your head and reach up to feel a folded cold towel. Nanami would always put a cold towel over your eyes if you fell asleep crying. The cold towel didnât happen often, but it seemed like he always knew what to do even if he didnât have the words to help at that moment. Your clothes had been changed to a large shirt that you had stolen from Nanami when you lived separately, but he let you keep.
You sit up to remove the laptop from his lap and gently lean him down to bed. As heâs shifting his body, the touch pad is slightly moved and his laptop is turned back on. You turn your head to avoid your sensitive eyes looking at the bright light and turn down the brightness. You look at the screen to decide if you should just close the laptop or shut it down. The tabs⊠the tabs surprise you and your heart breaks the more tabs you read.

Along with the searches, Nanami had a note opened with notes from every single tab.
The man sleeping next to you⊠loves you. You would do anything for him and he would scour the world and pick up brick by brick for an answer to any of your problems. You lean down to kiss his temple, âI love you, Kento. So fucking much.â

Seven months later, you get curious and tell Nanami to bring a test after work. He's hesitant and asks if itâs a good idea. After several months in therapy and extra doctor visits, you feel like you can handle any result. A negative would be like facing your biggest fear and you needed to overcome it.
Nanami rereads your texts the whole afternoon, and again when heâs at the pharmacy looking for the tests, and again when heâs in line to pay. He only hands you the small box after a big hug and deep kiss, and suggests you take it after dinner in fear of you not eating after seeing the result.
After a distracted dinner, you take the tests and leave them on the bathroom counter. You walk out the restroom and sit on the bed with Nanami. He wanted to be inside the restroom with you but despite being married and knowing each otherâs secrets, that was one line you just could not cross. Your husband had no other option than to wait outside the door.
Nanami turns his whole body to you and reviews the exercises your therapist had given you both to work through the next result. You intently listen and follow his lead until the timer finally goes off. You both look at each other, scared for the next event but relieved to finally hear the beeping. You stand first and hold out your hand for Nanami.
You cover the test from afar as you close the gap and tell Nanami to count to three. One⊠two⊠three. You quickly move your hand to see the two tests.
You stare and stare, and Nanamiâs eyes have never gone wider. You can see him looking back and forth frantically, waiting for your reaction. You screech, not yell or scream, a straight screech that could compare to the latest dinosaur feature film. Your hands cover half your face and sobs immediately break through. Nanami hugs you and picks you up from the floor.Â
âOk ok ok, doctor, umm, we need to go to a doctor, ok? That's what he told us to do.â you nod frantically, still sobbing, and wrap your arms around your husband.Â
âââÂ
The doctor is happy to see you in his office for a different reason this time. He confirms the result with another test at the office and for the first time in a long while, the nurses lead you and Nanami to a room with a big ultrasound machine.
Nanami tightly holds your hand as the cold clear cream is spread on your tummy. There is no visible difference that you or Nanami could see but you were both very fucking nervous despite the home and doctorâs results. The doctor takes a second to spread the cream and look around. After what seems like an eternity, the doctor confirms that you are over halfway on your first trimester and points to the smallest blob on the screen.Â
Nanamiâs legs give out and literally falls to the chair pulled for guests. His breath is heavy. He trusted the tests before, he really did believe those positives, but hearing it from the doctor's mouth in that room, seeing what was on the screen and where he knew you were in the best hands â his relief was unmatched. He had never felt such relief, happiness and an overwhelming sadness for what you had to go through.
He covers his mouth with one hand while he lets his tears fall for the first time in front of you since your wedding. His other hand still tightly holds your hand and he moves his forehead to touch the side of your stomach, where he knows the product of your love and effort will slowly start to make its home.
You lay on the chair with your arm folded on your face, crying loudly with the same relief and joy when Nanami stands back up and carefully moves your arm down to kiss your face. He starts at your temple and moves to your cheekbone, then nose, then eye, then forehead, other eye, lips, cheek, and temple again. He holds your head close to his chest and you wrap your remaining arm around him. After so many visits to this clinic, so many negatives and so many tears of sadness, you were finally able to cry for a completely different feeling.
You both lean to see the screen, the barely visible blob making you laugh but you lie your head back down and let yourself imagine a scene of a mini you and Nanami.

30 weeks, one 20 hour birth and an emergency C-section later, Kento holds your tiny girl. She had been rushed to the NICU shortly after the birth and you and Nanami were left scared in the OR. One of the nurses tells you that she is alright and they need to check her more since she was a preemie.
You wake up from a nap later that evening in your recovery room and see a shirtless Nanami holding your baby by the room window. He'd become so intrigued by the skin-to-skin contact benefits with a baby and promised himself heâd do anything for a closer bond with her.
Without him knowing you were awake and listening, you hear him tell the small bundle that is a sleeping baby girl, âb/n, you are so loved. Weâre going to love you forever. I'm going to adore you for as long as I can and more.â He gently brushed her hair and continued, âI have so much to teach you, to show you. I love you, I'll give you everything, I promise." He lifted her and leaned down to kiss and stroke her cheeks, "my girl, my sweet girls â I'll do anything for you and mommy, I swear.â
You lean back smiling. Your body aches and the pain is incomparable to anything youâve felt before, but you are happy. Whether it was in that hospital room as a new unit of three, or in your own living room relaxing with your husband alone, you would be happy.
Nanami turns around and sees you awake. He flashes the biggest smile and walks over to the bed with your sleeping newborn. âI love you, y/n.â
âForever.â
