Chara, As The Split Personality, Could Still Play A Significant Role, In My Opinion. I Vaguely Recall

Chara, as the split personality, could still play a significant role, in my opinion. I vaguely recall her taking command once she was alone in the house and proceeding to search for weapons and plot potential escape routes. I believe that if Gaster's cult remains as it was, it would certainly spice things up if Gaster began noticing total 180s in Frisk's demeanor through his cameras. It could be like a psychological game in which the two try to outwit each other. Chara wants out, G wants control

I really like this! You also make a good point about Chara occasionally taking over to attempt to escape, and I did originally have plans regarding her killing Papyrus when I first started writing Lugubriousity. Not to say that she will or won’t since that would be spoiling the story!

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I think we’ll keep Chara as a voice in Frisk’s head.

Okay so my first New Year’s resolution is to get that Discord server up and ready. It’s already made I just need to finish the FAQ, Character Description, and Plot channels. Sorry this is taking so long, but I shall release the server very soon!

♫ - What I’m currently listening to.

So I know these posts are supposed to have 5 in them, but I got so cheeky with my art last night and this morning, that I'm gonna be a bit impatient with this one. Typical, huh?

Thoughts on the narrator? Is he too annoying? I feel like he's annoying.

I’ll gladly include the backstory for all three images for @alikthemurdercat! Which by the way, I want to thank you dearly for liking my posts and following my page. :)

This story starts with a young human woman named Laura who had recently moved from her grandparents home in the forest after she graduated with her nursing degree. Laura was only on her second day at the job when she was given a strange patient; a skeleton monster who had recently been arrested for getting into a physical altercation with his now ex girlfriend which resulted in a few minor injuries for him. Not so much for his ex girlfriend. Such a thing shouldn’t result in an assailant in custody dodging a holding cell for a hospital bed, but this skeleton was the brother of the newly elected governor, and that came with its perks. He was quite, but watched her with a smile.

Laura wouldn’t know better at the time, having no clue about his arrest as he was not handcuffed. So as she tried to remember what the seasoned nurse she was to shadow instructed of her—said nurse was off taking care of another patient as the hospital was severely understaffed—the skeleton man took a bite out of her hand out of seemingly nowhere.

Laura passed out.

she woke up two weeks later with a missing hand, and absolutely no idea what caused it. Her grandfather and a doctor appear shortly afterwards. She’s told she can soon head home, back in the forest, with her grandparents. As the two walk away, Laura over hears their conversation and discovers that while she lost consciousness, she was also raped, and the skeleton monster had gone missing. Unfortunately, the police weren’t making much of an effort to relocate him—likely due to his relationship with the governor.

As Laura and her grandfather drive home he tells her that her grandmother has a very special surprise waiting for her, and that despite her missing hand she is still as abled as anyone else. They will get through this together, he promises. She would just need to learn to give a mean knuckle sandwich with the other hand. Laura oddly feels nothing towards his words, nor her missing hand. She stays quiet as they make it higher up the mountain.

When they arrive at the cabin, it’s oddly quiet. Her grandfather makes note that all the lights are off and there is no smoke in the chimney. He calls for their German Shepherd who would often rush out the doggy door to greet him. No one comes. Her grandfather tells her to stay in the car as he goes to investigate, and Laura does just that.

She waits, and waits, and waits, but her grandfather doesn’t return.

It starts to get cold and unfortunately he took the keys with him to open the front door. Laura has no choice but to get out and go inside. As she climbs the porch, and opens the door, she finds the family dog lifeless by the mangled corpse of her grandmother. In the corner is a creature hunched over her disemboweled grandfather stuffing his face full of what was once a very kind man.

Laura runs, the creature follows. She makes it to the depths of the forest, too petrified to look back, but knowing it’s close by the rustle of the flora around them. There’s the shine of headlights in the distance. Laura screams, she trips, she tumbles. The creature lands on top of her, and as it sprays her family’s blood on her face, she is reminded of the skeleton monster in the hospital bed. She recognizes him completely despite his more disheveled look, and the loss of light in his sockets.

As she prepares to meet her grandparents in the afterlife, a shot goes off. It gets the monster at the tips of its skull which rains shards on her bloody face, and sends it running away in retreat. Laura can hardly move when a stranger enters her blurred vision. He offers her a hand to help her off the moist forest ground, and as she reaches up to grab it, she notices that it too is just pure bone.

Okay, so this is getting long winded, lol. I’ll need to add onto this to explain who that human man is in pic two, and also what the hell is going on in pic one.

Post #16 - Blast From The Past

Post #16 - Blast from the Past

♫ - What I’m currently listening to.

As I was going through old files, I found a lot of the artwork I've done for Undertale rps back on Discord. Man, weren't those crazy times that I miss dearly. Unfortunately, those serves no longer exist, so now these images only live on in folders on my computer.

I thought I'd share some with you to change that.

These are only three of many. A lot of the artwork wouldn't make much sense without context, but that's okay. If anyone would care to hear backstories of roleplay that only mattered to a group of 4, I'd definitely get long winded with you and share EVERYTHING--or at least that which I remember.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little piece of a time gone.

Post #12 - A Simple Silhouette Exercise

Post #12 - A Simple Silhouette Exercise

♫ - What I’m currently listening to.

✔ - Vote in the poll.

I want to start by saying that this exercise (found here) was easy enough to complete during the few down hours I had today, so it makes for a decent warm-up. We were to sketch out a few cityscape silhouettes using basic shapes and then detail the best one. I made only three sketches and picked the silhouette that I found fit the Underground aesthetic the most.

This exercise was fun!

It definitely helped to better shape the skeleton of a city in a quick, yet appealing, manner. Despite that, I feel like I could've done more today, but I'm at least patting myself on the back for getting a blog post out there (the bare minimum, I know). I had such little time to do much today. I hadn't yet researched the map of the Underground or really taken a moment to find noteworthy references. Hopefully, with a bit more time on my hands, we can start strong tomorrow by finishing the Clipstudio tutorial.

A Chapter Left to Die

♫ - What I’m currently listening to.

✔ - Vote in the poll.

Before I decide to throw in the towel with Lugubriosity, and start again with Fawn, I started this chapter; the real chapter 35. It is only the beginning of an interaction that I intended to lead into another major plot point. Because Fawn will be slightly different, I'm not against exposing the plans I had for this chapter.

Guy, Hunny's father, approached Sans under the guise of friendly bonding. Guy, unlike Sans, was aware that Papyrus raped his daughter and got off scot-free—in fact, Papyrus was now seen as a hero in the community. Guy seeks revenge, of course he does, but he obviously doesn't stand a chance against the newly promoted Captain of the Royal Guard. Now Sans, on the other hand, was a disowned recovering dust-addict. Most monsters wouldn't even spit on him if he were on fire. The end result should be obvious, right?

Only it's not, and we know it's not because the following day Sans was taken to Gaster's lab to prepare for the ritual. So what happened? Perhaps we can explore this question in Fawn.

The Dump had everything a monster could ever want. All sorts of crap fell down here from the hole in the sky to give them a sprinkle of heaven—not that the surface was all the hoot. Nothing but junk, some would say, but despite it being crap, it was crap that wasn’t the usual crabapples or nice cream sandwiches with more nice than cream. When he was younger and he managed to pull his little brother and himself out of their hellhole of a home, the Dump was their new father. It sheltered them, entertained them, fed them, and on the occasion when scarier monsters came looking to do awful things to a couple of weaklings, the Dump protected them.

The Dump was a better father.

Sans stared at a particularly cozy hole between two deflated tires. It would be perfect for hiding if he were two times smaller and three times thinner. Fat asses, such as himself, would be better fitted for a fridge. Skeletons didn’t have fat—tell that to his big bones, he thought.

He chuckled.

And his eyes spotted an old treadmill on a pile of junk. Half of him was tempted to yank it out of the trash pile and—actually he would. No one could tell him otherwise, no one was home now to object or demand he get the filthy thing out of the house. For the first time since Papyrus became a ward of the Crown, Sans lived alone. He hated it now just as he hated it then. At least back when they were kids Paps would write to him, call him, and see him as frequently as the system would allow. Half an hour ago was the last time he’s seen his brother in over two months, and it was simply a passing glance, a brief touch, before Sans did the one thing he was good at; he disappeared.

Sans clenched the handle of a rusted tricycle to pull himself over a busted refrigerator. His once clean khakis were stained in old orange juice when his knee crushed a convenience store bag. He didn’t mind it. He also missed when he was allowed to embrace his inner slob. Alphys mentioned something about cleanliness and godliness, and he never once pegged her as the Mother Mary type. Science and religion tended to clash more times than not, but it could just be a phrase she read in a manga. They were so known for spewing Bible verses right?

Sans got to the top of the trash pile quicker than he initially expected. He felt pretty victorious, like the king of a castle, and the Dump was his kingdom. An empty popcorn pile leaned against his once white socks. He picked it up and placed it on his head, and along with his roach-regal headwear, he snatched a cracked drain pipe from the pile next. From this moment forward, it shall be his staff, and he shall boss around every rat in this horde.

He smiled at himself.

Paps used to love playing pretend. His favorite game was the knight in shining armor destined to save them all from the dragon's destructive path. Everyone deserved redemption, that’s what his brother believed then. No soul left behind no matter how damaged or unwanted.

How did things get so—

“Howdy up there!”

Sans spun around so quickly that he nearly lost his footing. On the ground below was a monster shielding their eyes from the sun in order to see Sans. The Dump was brighter than most places Underground. Here, there was the rare blend of artificial and natural sunlight. “Need any help?” Sans had to squint to make out the face. He recognized it.

The bunny guy from his druggie support group.

He threw the pipe down and shook off the popcorn carton. Suddenly this whole situation felt mighty ridiculous. Why the hell would a skeleton need a treadmill?

“No, uh, I was just…” Sans started to climb down carefully to prevent any broken bones. His back was already on fire by the time he made it half way, but his back was always on fire since Grillby shoved that pole through his spine, so that was nothing new. “I’m not homeless or anything.” That was the first thing he said when made it back to solid ground.

The bunny guy—was his name Guy?—helped him up. “Hey, I’m not knocking it. I know I usually find a lot of great stuff here.”

“You’re into dumpster diving too, huh?” Sans wiped his hands on his shorts. There were black stains on his palms, and when he sniffed it he smelled oil. “I spotted a cart in that pile if you need it for your grocery shopping.”

Guy extended a handkerchief towards him. He laughed like Sans’ comment was the funniest thing in the world and not an insult. “No need. We stocked up on food yesterday. I’m working on getting all of my bunnies back, even have a social worker coming on Monday, so I’m prepared. ”

Sans rejected the handkerchief. Another asshole who lost his kids? Why wasn’t this shocking? Probably because Dans saw the state of his junkie girlfriend that morning. At least they were putting in some kind of effort.

“I really love my kits—“

“Well, sounds like your spot will be next on my list. You got any Fruit Loops or Cocoa Puffs?” Sans chuckled at his joke, a joke forced into the conversation so he could avoid hearing about the oncoming family troubles. Guy raised a brow in confusion, and Sans would’ve gone through a whole demonstration explaining what he meant, but that would ruin it. Plus, maybe it was best he didn’t realize he was joking about robbing him.

“I’ve never heard of Fruit Loops, but I have plenty of Nice Cream that I’m willing to share.” That friendly smile returned on his furry blue face like all was just so peachy in the world.

Sans scoffed. Fuck this guy…

hi! just wondering, when will the next chapter of immature interest come out?

Very good question since I’ve been a very neglectful author. 😅 I plan on working on the rough draft for the next chapter tomorrow. If my writers block doesn’t kick me in the gut, we just might have the next chapter by this weekend.

Thank you @browniieee! Your artwork is gorgeous and I feel overjoyed that my story touched you enough to create art of it.

This comic will be a bit long, but everything is a single chapter divided into several parts, that I hope I'll be posting soon.

It will be largely censored on tumblr, but if you want to see it uncensored it will be on my twitter.

I hope you like it!

Post #14 - The Faces Of Frisk

Post #14 - The Faces of Frisk

♫ - What I’m currently listening to.

I went to my first convention this past weekend. It was definitely an experience seeing people in cosplay in real life—I even dared to dress up. While there, I came across so much inspiration for my art that sparks flew through my brain. It was definitely a much-needed trip.

So enough of that! I have finally gotten around to sketching out different ideas for Frisk. These are just rough drafts that mainly play around with hairstyles, (she will still wear the signature bangs and bob. Option B is simply my fun little way of showing her face) and skin shades. I'm open to keeping her a Simpsons yellow too so anyone can easily see themselves in her—or maybe not considering her circumstances lol!

Either way, I think it would be fun to vote on it! (once I figure out how to create a poll, that is).

The previous poll appears to be neck and neck with a suggested AU and an original AU (based on the comments and the poll numbers). We will create from scratch to keep things simple while heavily referencing Underfell, that way we are technically doing both options. Below are the results.

Post #14 - The Faces Of Frisk

Thanks again to everyone who voted! Once I figure out how to embed a poll in this post I will make an edit to include it. In the meantime, if you like any of the options, feel free to comment, and your vote or suggestion will be noted.

Edit: I’m stupid, all I had to do was edit this post to get a poll in—not create a whole new one. Hahaha…
