Maybe "The Picture of Dorian Gray" 2009 wasn't so good (because some parts of the editing were dizzying and the ending, with all that about Henry and his daughter, was pretty meh) BUT we have gay sex scenes and two kisses between Basil and Dorian. And I believe that is what Sir Oscar Wilde would have wanted.
there will never be enough henriel/hydeseek fluff for me. I am greedy and gluttonous and cannot be satiated.
Basil if he got on the train to Paris and recovered from his obsession with Dorian
It's a shame that Oscar Wilde didn't exist at the same time as Grindr.
hello henriel nation! while i have nothing current to offer, there is a sketch that has been collecting dust in my archive (dec. 4, 2022)
Fuck you
*ungays your favourite book and one of the greatest works of classic queer litterature by making two characters that have homoerotic tension so thick you could cut it with a knife SIBLINGS*
I adore the moment in a book when Character A changes what name they use for Character B. When they go from using a last name to a first, a pseudonym to a real name, a formal name to an informal one. I love how much it speaks to the level of intimacy one character feels towards another, how you can take note of the moment things change between them, how it almost divides the book into two parts. It's like catnip to me.
These are dark days for the LGBT community here in the UK.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If for some reason you’re not prepared to stand up for the sake of trans people, then at the very least do it for your own. Because this Supreme Court decision will have ripple effects on other communities. Because it always does. They never stop at just one group of people. If the rights of one group are questioned, then everyone’s rights can be questioned. Gay. Straight. Black. White. Cis. We’re all vulnerable. Unless you fit a very specific criteria of what “normal” is, they will eventually come for you too. They always do.
“..as I told Henry, once, you were made to be worshipped.”
