Ken Block’s Gymkhana series shuts down streets and drives a tiny Ford like crazy like it’s Grand Theft Auto Online. This time, he takes us on a whirlwind tour of Dubai.

GameHut is a YouTube channel run by Jon Burton, founder of Traveller’s Tales and producer of Lego games and movies. His series on Coding Secrets dives deep into the Sega Genesis versions of Sonic 3D Blast and Toy Story to explain how he achieved those great graphics. He really used all the resources to do things the hardware was never meant to do.

There's no going back to how things used to be, for better or worse. It's time to adapt! It's a lot to process, but I want to be here for everyone and post more than just once a month. This feed's about to get flooded with video game music for 30 days, so here's something that's neither video games nor music.

tfw your folks replace the (perfectly serviceable!!!) old hoover with a roomba and you don’t have a god damn clue how you’re gonna fly the thing

This reminds me of the Imperial Boy background art I posted here several months ago. So much detail! I'd make this my wallpaper but I can't crop it to 16:9 without losing lots of details.

I haven’t done one of these artist posts in over a year. Let’s fix that with PiNe. PiNe delivers vivid scenes and cool character designs in a handy RSS feed.
When I saw this on today's Pixivision Halloween post, I knew today I'd have to post this too. Google Translate translates the Japanese title to "I do not have to make sweets!"

Hello from Tumblr! I’ve been thinking, and I realize that my WordPress blog posts are basically Tumblr posts anyway. I might as well make it a Tumblr blog because I lose almost nothing. I plan to re-make all of my WordPress posts as proper Tumblr posts, properly reblogging the Tumblr stuff this time to comply with the posters’ wishes. For instance, my post for PiNe’s illustrations will become reblogs of every image when possible. Once I learn to Tumblr properly and get my theme and cross-posts working correctly, this is going to be good.

The world just keeps self-destructing. Did you plan to go to school, watch sports, or attend events? Too bad; it’s all cancelled for the rest of March. At least podcasts still work and Columbus improv comedy scene has one. Season 2 is now online featuring the lovely Jiko and the rest of Brainstorm. Put on some headphones, avoid the crowds, and Pretend This Didn’t Happen.

Scykoh‘s Glitchfest series is all about breaking popular games in as many ways as possible. TASVideos’s resources for NES Mega Man games covers several methods for moving through the game quickly, but even that doesn’t explain what Scykoh does in Ice Man’s stage. When I planned the “bugs” in Skeleton Hunter, the first place I looked for inspiration was Mega Man 1’s zipping, pause tricks, and tileset corruption, and they’re shown off very well here.

So I finally updated the site that’s more important than this one. I wrote the site’s first new post since April 2012 about our switch to Unity 2D, our new Games page that includes Thong Girl and my three Ludum Dare games, and the shiny new Bakamo Studios Facebook page. I even posted to our Twitter!
It’s no big secret that I use this blog as a testing ground for things I want to implement on the Bakamo Studios site. The new post cross-posted to Facebook correctly the first time and all seems to have gone well. If you’re interested in games I develop, please subscribe to Bakamo Studios’s RSS feed or like us on Facebook.
This is closer to what a blog should look like. I need to work on it more.

The Nerd takes us back to his own past this time. In ten years on YouTube, James Rolfe’s editing skills have come a long way. This episode took 138+ hours of work! The Mega Man series is incredibly smooth at its core, but sometimes it loses sight of what makes it feel good to play.

Oh cool, Bill Wurtz just popped up in my YouTube feed! Time for me to step away from my subreddit about floaty things for a minute and post this to my old social media places! I’ve been a huge gamer my whole life. Though recent changes have taken priority over games, I still play Wordle, lichess, and retro games. I miss my stream and I want to reboot the stream when I can.
