When is it sexist? - A Handy Chart
Predators in AvP were designed to “reflect a comic book-style silhouette, possessing more heroic proportions: wider shoulders, narrower waists, smaller heads.”
They were given longer dreadlocks to help punctuate head movement.
Scar was thought of as a romantic leading man, albeit only in “subtext.” He was more regal in appearance (or handsome, in other words).
Predators’ eyes were based on a “predatory cat’s, imbued with warm golden tones and a slightly larger iris.” Their eyes were also initially based on the yellows and purples of the original Predator, but were eventually replaced by browns and golden ochres to “elicit more of a noble and heroic feeling.”
The Elder Predators in the film were originally designed to have facial scarring, tribal markings, larger teeth, stronger, more furrowed brows, bone-shard piercings, and larger, engraved mandible tusks.
Scar had 66 dreadlocks.
A Predator’s foot was marked as a size 20 US (BIG ASS CLOMPERS)
One of the filming crew experienced severe tooth damage when the Queen’s piston-powered tongue fired prematurely.
Over a dozen puppeteers controlled the Alien Queen.
Condoms were used for the Alien Queen’s jaw tendons.
I have an incredibly important proposition to make...
