No. No, if we say disabled, we mean disabled. Most of us hate the whole "differently abled" thing. If someone likes or prefers it, that's fine, but don't blanket assume we are or refer to us collectively as such. Disabled is not a dirty word.

My class is doing the play of the aform book. The main character has Autism so I’m concerned about the casting because how can you get accurate rep if you have neurotypicals playing characters who arent. So to all the people who can have valid opinions on this. Is it ableist for them to be playing this show?

Fatigue

I do not know why my fatigue has to do me wrong. I woke up exhausted and decided that I’d take a quick nap. I accidentally slept for five hours. Like damm that is a lot of time lost can y’all relate?

Guys, I really, really, can’t stress this enough. my posts haven’t been getting any attention and the people JUST turned off our water today so me and my mom are left without any! We’re both disabled and without food too, so this makes it harder for us to get by unless we pay off our WATER BILL. We need almost all the help we can get because for the past few days, we’ve been doing nothing but struggling! 

I don’t know how much we’d need, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! help us out! I hate having to ask for help, but everything has been going nothing but awful for us! we haven’t ate in 4 days and I’m starving too. ANY donation counts at this point as long as it helps!

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

to white folks, this is a time for you to celebrate as well, but things are far from over. reach out to your poc and trans friends, particularly your black and trans friends, and check on them and make sure they feel safe. DO NOT STOP DONATING TO PAYPALS AND GOFUNDMES. CONTINUE SHARING RESOURCES AND INFORMATION. CONTINUE PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY AID. electing biden did not simultaneously wipe out the issues many marginalized communities are facing. Transphobia

Transphobia is runni rampant more then ever in the WLW especially lesbian community and its so frustrating to go on a pro trans women post to show support as an enbie to find Terfs in there saying that Terf is a compliment and that they have such a superiority complex that they think its a compliment that I hate them for being pro violating human rights and harassment. So just remember genital preference may not be trans but you invalidating trans women and saying its offensive that saphic trans girls havw hit on you is transphobic. Just a friendly reminder your transphobia is not cute. Its not quirky. Its repulsive and volatile.
