does anyone else write really long class descriptions in Morrowind? because I’m so addicted to the custom class description box it’s not even funny. I’ll be like “hmm today I will make a new character” and then spend 45 minutes to an hour writing entire paragraphs of lore for my hyperspecific custom class (that could feasibly still apply to a group/type of people because otherwise it’s not a class is it?)

The purpose of art is to provide the world with beauty. Brutalism is not beautiful. Neoclassical and futurist architecture are. QED, brutalism is bad architecture. Not everything has to be about class struggle or whatever bullshit.

Art should be promoted and celebrated based on artistic merit, not politics. Tradition should be rejected when it is harmful to society - for example, I believe that the Catholic Church should be destroyed because it is a major wellspring of conservativism. But I do not want to tear down Notre-Dame or Saint Peter’s Basilica. The harm is not being caused by the beautiful buildings, but instead the people who inhabit them.

There are three imperatives to keeping fascists out of architecture.

1. Celebrate Buildings from Africa and South Asia over and above Europe, America, and East Asia

2. Celebrate Brutalism and “the ugly” over and above Classical Revival, Futurism and New Formalism. Reject tradition

3. And I cannot stress this enough: Fuck the buildings

let me make one thing absolutely clear. if you have any positive feeling at all towards modern Russia, you are not welcome here. The Russian state is fundamentally and unimpeachably evil. It is a reactionary and autocratic nation ruled by the union of fascists, oligarchs, and the Church. Nothing of it is good. Nothing is redeemable. If a just god existed, Russia would burn forever in hellfire.
