In a twist, a young director-to-be gets so enamoured of the Goncharov non-existing Tumblr inside joke that he decides to spend the rest of his life in creating a convincing version of a 1973 film nobody has ever directed. He studies the most cutting-edge deepfake technology, spends countless hours editing, hires unknown actors, gets a full soundtrack and, ultimately, produces Goncharov anonymously and fakes the "retrievement" of the original movie. The movie industry breaks. Scorsese, baffled, acknowledges it as its own. The timeline breaks, the universe collapses.

the commodification of friendship is the most annoying thing to come out of the internet in ages. like actually i love to break this to you but you're supposed to help your friends move even if it's hard work. or stay up with them when they're sad even if you're gonna lose sleep. you're supposed to listen to their fears and sorrows even if it means your own mind takes on a little bit of that weight. that's how you know that you care. they will drive you to the airport and then you will make them soup when they're sick. you're supposed to make small sacrifices for them and they are supposed to do that for you. and there's actually gonna be rough patches for both of you where the balance will be uneven and you will still be friends and it will not be unhealthy and they will not be abusive. life is not meant to be an endless prioritization of our own comfort if it was we would literally never get anywhere ever. jesus.

the severance finale really said humans find beauty and meaning everywhere despite of it all and that doesn't justify the existence of the system that opresses them but also doesn't negate the worth of the life that has been carved out of it despite of it all and fuck you for creating and maintaining and profitting off the very same system that abuses and exploits me and those I love while saying our lives are too miserable to have worth and meaning. they do. no matter how small. despite of it all. despite of it all. I am chewing through cardboard.
