sire-crownguard:
While he was not surprised that she already showed him such a display of respect, it brought a small pang of a prick to his chest. It was not that she was truly respected him, it was out of necessity… and perhaps… fear… Again, he did not blame the woman for such reactions, they were natural, but it did not stop the panging in his chest, and the guilt that went unseen atop his shoulders.
A soft mutter to himself, a quiet curse of annoyance. Most pertricite shackles were unstable, but of course… they were not meant to be taken off. Their intention was to bind, and then… most would wear them to their grave, which was likely nothing more than a large hole away from the innocent and evil eyes of the world.
He grabbed Taliyah’s hand with a delicate touch, unfitting of one which seemed as threatening as him. But, rather than the plain gesture, he turned her hand gently, so her palm faced down, and his other hand reached towards the shackle. Pinching a part of it between two fingers, he stared blankly, like he was considering something…
And then, as though it was only as sturdy as a dried twig, it cracked from the pressure. Like when a single thread was ripped from a web, the rest seemed to crack, and it fell off of her wrist. He hesitated, not letting go quite yet, using the hand that broke it to gently dust off any of the remaining, small shards of petricite, that would be like burning embers upon a mage’s skin, should they remain too long…
Without another delay, he did the same with the other shackle, and the pathetic remains simply clattered to the ground, forgotten, abandoned… and at this point, useless. A small triumph in his mind–a single less weapon against the innocent who are unfortunate to be… vulnerable.
“I apologize for not doing that sooner.” His voice was low, strong and steady. A small smile found its way onto his expression, followed with a minute tilt of his head to the side. “But it matters not if they overreacted… That is not a topic I wish to delve in any further, however.” Likely, it would be best for both of them to not dwell on the things that happen here.
How innocent must a girl like this be? He envied her, to a degree. Ignorancewas bliss, but too much bliss was toxin. Garen cleared his throat, and the next words he spoke were slow, but at least clear, and spoken in the native tongue of the unfortunate visitor.
“It is a pleasure to meet someone like you, Taliyah Levy.”
Taliyah was always a fan of tall people . Big , strong , able to kill her . . . The fear was always replaced by curiosity . Even after meeting Sett , a 7′8 beast , she was interested . And Garen definitely got on her good side .
When he had grabbed her small , cold hands , she knew what he could do . He could easily break her fragile bones , yet he did something better . He crushed the binds .
Taliyah let out a surprised gasp when he had . No matter how hard the shuriman had struggled , they refused to move to a better position , yet Garen . . . He just . . .
The short woman stared up at him , eyes wide with shock and excitement . “ Thank you , sire ! That - how did you - hm . . . “ A soldier perhaps ? Maybe a guard for the royal or royal himself . Probably why he’s referred to as Sire . And that build . . .
“ If you don’t mind me asking , do you fight with your fists or a sword ? Strength like that means you fight , no doubt . You look too young to be the general , but if . . . No . . . “ Taliyah rambled . If one couldn’t tell , she enjoys guessing and speaking . People in general was something she’s good at . Maybe that’s why Swain had spoken to her .
Taliyah gently rubbed her wrists as she thought . They were red , probably redder than her cheeks whenever complimented . The stone felt rough . . . Was it supposed to eventually dig into her skin and cause blood ? Maybe she should’ve heeded the warnings . . .
Wait , did Garen say something ? Taliyah looked back up at him , smiling widely . “ Please , call me Taliyah ! Or Tali ! “

@heredis-sanguinis started ♡ The nights were never quiet in Noxus, especially in Prime. It was known for the hours after the sun had set, to be more dangerous to wander the streets and alleys of Noxus alone. Not just for muggers and thugs causing violence and worse. No, there was talk that monsters prowled the streets as well. From the top of a roof, Vladimir kept his eyes on a familiar face. Or rather, a familiar pulse, as only he would. "Good evening, Stoneweaver." he called out. (For Noxian!Taliyah, from Vampire!Vlad)
Noxus . It always interested Taliyah , and even after six years of living in this hell , it seems that there's still so much more to learn . Nevertheless , the soldier kept at it .
It was yet another night . The stone weaver was on her way home after a disappointingly slow day , when she felt something . A warning , deep in her gut . Taliyah wasn't alone . . . Really , it was a mistake on the other's part . Never sneak up on a stone weaver .
Her hazel eyes glanced around the dark street , hand reaching to the pocket of her uniform shorts . In there was a clean blade . The weapon wasn't needed in the end , when a familiar voice called out .
" Sire ? " The freckled soldier questioned , turning to the direction of the voice . Up , on a roof , a silhouette of a man came into view . " Good evening , Sire . You know , a gentleman doesn't stand on a roof while speaking to a lady . "
Taliyah's teasing tone hide her confusion rather nicely . What was a man like Sir Vladimir doing on top of a roof on a night like this ? Was he lost ? Hurt ? These questions shot through her mind quickly , though were shut down just as soon as they were thought up . Vladimir is strong , she knew . He's here for a different reason .
Whatever the reason , Taliyah was to help . Even if she isn't very fond of it .
Taliyah wasn’t a fan of the ‘ walking alone ‘ days . Mostly because of the alone part . Despite this , she ambled down the mysterious streets , hazel eyes peeled for anyone or anything threatening . Apparently , she hadn’t been paying close enough attention to the world around her . A sudden voice - one she wasn’t familiar with - rang out through the otherwise silent village . No crickets , no laughter from children , just the strange voice .
Sadly , Taliyah is a curious person .
She swiveled to the owner of the voice , there standing a . . . Person ? Taliyah sure hopes they are a person . Nonetheless , her head tilted to the side curiously , her mouth opening without a second thought .
“ The end ? “ The freckled woman questioned . “ Are you alright ? The end couldn’t possibly be near . “ With that stated , Taliyah looked them up and down . She was searching for something - a sign of a wound , or perhaps the disheveledness of someone under the influence of alcohol .
Slaps Taliyah's ass. "Payback."
" You have touched the forbidden butt . Now you must pay . "
Taliyah has always been light hearted . Call it anxiety , call it the way she was raised , the young woman could never get over something . This . . . was one of those somethings . " Ekko , I don't want you to hurt him ! I'm just . . . mad he hurt me . . . . Alright , really mad he hurt me . . . Do you promise it'll only make him yell ? " The young woman , face red and puffy from crying , smiled at Ekko awkwardly . Man , friends are great . . .
@goldenbattledancer started ♡ ❝ Have you ever heard the term "tempting fate?" ❞
Tempting fate .
That was a term many people used while describing Taliyah . Reckless to save others , always jumping into life or death situations . But this ? It wasn't one of those scenes .
The woman looked up from her sandwich , eyeing Rakan suspiciously . " I have . . . Why the sudden question , Birdie ? "
While she spoke , Taliyah's legs dangled off the side of a rather large cliff . . . . Okay , so maybe they're tempting fate by having a picnic there , but Rakan was the one to pick it out !
" If the strawberries are poisoned , I will kick you . "

You avoid corners and doorways - do you know why? Have you looked inwards recently? Do you understand what is happening there?
Your mind is muddled and dusty, a mirror you haven’t been able to clean properly. Smudging the nervousness just leaves streaks on the glass, which makes your face harder to see, which makes you nervous.
What are you nervous of, darling? What keeps you up at night? Why haven’t you confronted it? Do you know what it is? Can you answer my questions? Are they making you nervous? Am I frightening you?

Taliyah got the hint . The curious girl took a step back , eyeing the Noxian cautiously . She was always a bit skeptical of Noxians ever since . . . The thing had happened . Nonetheless , she answered the question . " Taliyah . And . . . You are , sir ? " Taliyah's voice read her nervousness . Perhaps starting a conversation with someone she's yet to know is dangerous ?
obliviously flaunts hips. youre welcome
Taliyah tried her best to look away , but God . . . His hips really don't lie . "You're lucky I like you , " she muttered with a blush .
