I am thinking about a character coming home late. I am thinking about their friends being worried, relieved beyond belief to see them again (because the last time they disappeared…it was bad). The character doesn’t want to talk about where they’ve been, and that’s fine, but their friends just want to know they’re not hurt -
And at that the character snaps at them, violently pushing them away and running to hide in the nearest room with locking door. They’re fine, they just need space - because they are hurt (it’s bad) but they don’t want to worry their friends, they want to be able to take care of themself.
(It wasn’t supposed to happen again.)
Big fan of whumpees who hide their fear behind defiance and anger
The whumpee was known as a rough and calloused person that nobody wanted to willingly interact with, and most people assumed that they had always been like that. It’s only the caretaker that’s allowed to see them breaking down, waking up from nightmares and allowed to see the plethora of scars left behind by the whumper.
Whumper's hand came out of nowhere, wrapping deftly around Whumpee's mouth and nose to muffle the sound of their shocked scream. "Hello there Whumpee," Whumpee murmured in their ear. "Fancy seeing you here, I thought for sure Caretaker would have spirited you away to safety by now."
Whumpee thrashed, trying desperately to break Whumper's hold. But Whumper had them securely pressed to his body. They tried not to panic, not to let their fear for themself and also for Caretaker override everything because they had to focus if they were going to get away.
Whumper drew something from the small of his back and before Whumpee could fully process what the item was, Whumper's hand flashed through the air and a searing pain invaded their senses as Whumper's blade pierced their stomach. Whumpee's scream was loud even through Whumper's hold. They doubled over, agony turning their vision red. Whumper slowly let them fall, leaning down to stroke their hair almost lovingly.
"Now, don't die to quickly, I want Caretaker here to see the light leave your eyes."
Thinking about forced surgeries rn...
Whumpee strapped down on an operating table, dry heaving from the sheer terror, eyes wide open. No anaesthesia whatsoever, the feeling of cold metal against flesh. Screams, thrashing, loud gasps with each incision made.
Or the horror of being put under by complete strangers, in an unfamiliar place. He knows it's useless to fight it. Labored breaths before eventually surrendering to the drugs, despite his brain screaming at him not to.
Or waking up in an ice bath with stitches on his abdomen. Confused and hazy, feeling nothing but a horrible emptiness. The throbbing pain and the horrible realisation setting in as he slowly comes to.
So so so many options.... Very bad things ..
Okay but you like whump right? Check out this idea that I'm definitely going to use at some point-
Non-human whumpee is captured by someone with prejudice against who or what they are, and are slowly dehumanized over the course of their capture and torment to the point that when they're released, it's difficult for them to think of themselves as anything more than a monster.
You have my interest, my attention, and everything in between.
Poor whumpee :c
Absolutely delicious concept and I can’t wait to see it whenever you get to it :D

The whumper couldn’t believe that they managed to capture someone like the whumpee- a powerful being that was once thought to be unstoppable. There they were now, chained and broken, at the whumper’s mercy, and the whumper loved to show them off to anyone who opposed them.
Bramblestar wip using my new ballpoint pen!
idk whether this is an underrated trope but man i love the kind of whump where the character passes out, like total dead weight, and the caretaker (bonus if it's their rival/enemy) has to carry them back to safety (whether it's bridal style, on their back, with their arms under whumpee's armpits)
Caretaker with a whumpee who hates them.
“Why are you doing this?”
“You would do the same for me.”
“No. I wouldn’t.”
And Caretaker keeps helping them anyways.
I reblog stuff that inspires me! mainly whump -follow my art account @jonona -Instagram art account: @miersjojo
