✨Protection and fortune jar✨

My small jar by the window sill needed a refreshing. So I tried something a bit new and hoped it will help me! You can make it as well!

You’ll need:

Salt (Protection)

Bay leaf (Employment, wisdom)

Cinnamon (Success, prosperity)

Cloves (wealth, protection)

Cedar (protection, money)

Chamomille (money)

Amethyst (protection)

A jar, container, or sachet

Start by pouring the salt in your container then layout all your other herbs and crystals into the container, close the lid and you have your spell! You can place it anywhere you want to protect your fortune or attract it.

Some Sigil Basics

Ok so let me just start by saying this is some VERY beginner stuff that a close witchy friend gave me and I figured I would put it here to share with the world!

Begin with a simple phrase

I’m going to use the phrase “I am safe and protected” because it is a little more complex

Take out all the vowels

In the instance of this phrase we are then left with “m sf nd prtctd”

Take out duplicate letters

That will leave us with “m sf nd prtc”

Match the alphabet to letters…

There is no other way to describe this than with a picture…

Match the letters to numbers

So “msfndprtc” = 416547923

Match the numbers together with lines on your circle

So another picture is… my only form of help!

Lord, I need a job: Jar spell

I made this spell jar for my boyfriend, right now he is having a hard time finding a job and I wanted to help him is some way.

Moon cycle: New/Full

Day: Thursday

List of items:

Orange: Luck

Cinnamon: Success

Ginger: Power

Pecan: Employment

Bay Leaf: Wish

Green Wax/Ribbon

White Wax/Ribbon

St. Cajetan medal

Jar

Cleans and charge all of your items before the spell and write down what time the new or full moon comes out. Draw the Chi Rho light the candles and chant:

Oh Lord my God, I offer you these items in your name. May they help you in your work to make this spell come to pass.

In your name I pray, Amen.

Say each ingredient out loud and what it’s for in the spell, once you place everything in the jar seal it with the white and green wax the lip of jar. When the wax has harden tie the ribbons around the jar with with medal of St. Cajetan. Then offer the complete spell jar again to God and chant:

Oh God and St. Cajetan, You know my desire for a job, for work I enjoy doing, for the next step in my career to present itself. I pray that you would guide me as I continue on this job hunting journey. May I focus first on your will for my life, putting your desires and your plan above my own wishes and wants. Please open doors to new opportunities that you desire for me, equip me with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom to take steps forward in this process. As I craft my resume, write cover letters, submit my applications, connect with potential employers, and go on interviews. Give me the words to speak and the courage to share who I am and what I can do. Give me confidence that can only come from you, and give me humility too. I trust you, Lord the with your help and Cajetan – my life is in your hands. Let your will be done, thank you for being near to me every step of the way and thank you for always providing for my every need. May this all be for your glory.

A guide for safely contacting the spirit world.

Friendly reminder that on this Samhain if you plan to contact spirits, please PLEASE do it safely!

Set up a special place before you get started, make sure you will be uninterrupted while doing your work if possible. I know sometimes it’s hard to work that out for some. I personally have two children and I have to wait till they are asleep to do this kind of work.

Protect yourself, reenforce any protections you may already have, not just on you but on your space as well. Make sure you’re grounded and prepared for the work you’re going to do.

RESEARCH! DO NOT GO IN UNPREPARED! Guys seriously don’t just decided half assed that you’re going to speak with the dead or spirits because you see others doing it. Know what you are going to do. Research rituals, spells, sigils, whatever and make a plan. Stick with the plan, being prepared and having knowledge is honestly your most powerful tools in the Craft.

Tools, be familiar with the tools you plan to use. I am most familiar and connected to my pendulum so he is what I use the most, second is cards and candles I use all three together but I use my pendulum for the main communication, if I need help that he can’t give I use my tarot cards and candles with him. It is important to be familiar and know your tools so that you know when something isn’t right. Spirits can be tricky and your best defense of knowing what’s truth and lie is knowing your tools and how they typically respond to you.

Don’t go in being open to just any spirit that’s willing to talk to you if you’re not experienced. You need to have an idea of who you want to speak with, this comes back to being prepared and knowledge.

If it gets weird or scary don’t just stop. You need to be firm and say goodbye and end any spell you were doing, blow your candles out and close your circle and ground yourself. Take notes of what happened for later. Do not just leave this situation, be firm about disconnecting with the spirit and ending what you are doing.

Don’t get discouraged if things don’t go right or you don’t make contact it happens and Samhain isn’t the only time you can contact them. You can always try again.

If you don’t feel that you are prepared enough or comfortable with contacting the spirit world yourself there are plenty of spirit workers, mediums, witches, Oracles ect that you can contact to do it for you.

⛤Kitchen Witchcraft-Lavender⛤

Lavender is one of the most popular ingredients in the craft, whose scent eliminates tension, strengthens intuition, improves dreams and protects against evil spirits. 

This plant is ruled by the planet Mercury, the element of air and the sign of Gemini.

Among the Romans, lavender was added to bath water and served as a symbol of abundance on the table.

Due to its magical properties, lavender has been used in many rituals and spells since ancient times. 

This plant has a great influence in cleaning the negative energy of space from evil forces.

The essential oils of this magical plant are widely used to strengthen the nervous system and in periods when human energy is weak. 

Lavender oil is used to clean spaces, especially if there are frequent conflicts and arguments.

It is believed that all evil escapes from the smell of this plant. 

Lavender oil should be added to the bath if the person has a sudden drop in energy or weakness. Lavender is most often used fresh.

Lavender magic

⛤Cleansing Spell:

Take an odd number of lavender sprigs and pour hot water on them. 

When it cools down, use the water to  wash your face and say 

“This curse I’ve banished from my face

 and sent back.”

⛤To fulfill a wish:

Take twelve dry sprigs of lavender, grind them and keep the powder in a closed box. 

Then take a candle and sprinkle some dry lavender on it.

It is believed that the wish will be fulfilled.

⛤Other facts:

It is believed that if a girl wants to attract love into her life, she should wear a small twig in her suit.

 This plant is considered a magnet for attracting the opposite sex and improving the financial situation.

 Lavender should be kept in the corner of the closet because it will protect against all evil influences and negative forces.

This plant is widely used in the field of homeopathy. It is believed that it has the strongest magical powers if it is collected during the full moon.

It is used to treat bruises, relieve anxiety and relieve stress. 

In folk medicine, it is used against stomach pain and problems with the intestines, as well as treating the kidneys.

The Goddesses Holy Water

This is a little method my mentor passed down to me that I love. I like to do this to my bathwater before bathing, and to my moon water/storm water that i collect. 

You will need:

Water

Salt

   Place a finger in the water and stir counterclockwise. Visualize your energy shooting into the water and engulfing any negative energy and filling it with light. Say “I exorcise thee, Oh creature of water, of all negativity both seen and unseen, & bless thee in the name of the divine Goddess.”

   Place a finger in the salt and stir counterclockwise. Visualize your energy penetrating the salts and engulfing the negative dark energy, filling it with light. Say “I exorcise thee, Oh creature of salt, of all negativity both seen and unseen, & Bless thee in the name of the divine Goddess.”

   Drop three pinches of salt into the water, stir clockwise with your finger and say “I cleanse & Consecrate this water in the name of the divine Goddess, may this liquid now enhance and purify all that it touches, So mote it be.”
