I absolutely hate HATE the fetishzision of goth girls/people. I fucking hate it. We need to go back to being weird as fuck, off-putting, odd, whatever. I like being a gross nasty goth with a teeth collection and interested with Victorian medicine and death and has messy smudged grimey makeup and cracked lips and letting spiders crawl into my hands after they fell from their web to put them back. Everything that will make people who just see goth people as just a freaky sex thing to turn their noses because jfc I'm more than that.
Somewhat recently finished project (thriftflip). Don't have a photo of what it used to look like but it's probably easy to imagine because I didn't do much/ changed it dramatically.
Found this slip (including some detachable pretty lace) online a while ago, I haven't worn it because it's "boring" and way too wide/ boxy looking on me.
I hand sewn on some lace I found at a local smaller thrift store and also added lacing (holes) with ribbon.
I've worn it a few times now and it fits really good (it's also very adjustable) and is almost perfect as a base layer with the lacing removed.
It also went through the washing machine unbroken (I'm always terrified of that) and the lace is still glittery.
Anyways I have somewhat of a backlog that I'm hoping to get photos and be able to post somewhat soon.
Unaltered unusable clothes that are gonna be used for something sometime: 10
Walk of shame at 5 am > walk of shame at 9 am (or just normal day time).
No sun to burn you and close to 0 people around, also get to be home when waking up tiered/ hungover.
So I'm gonna start posting updates for my current sewing project mostly for myself to remind myself that I'm actually making progress. Fell free to follow along or take inspo. Almost most of it's gonna technically be "thriftflips" because that's where almost all of my clothes and fabric is from ( also because my favorite sewing technique is stealing).
Current project is this skirt I bought second hand online, I didn't look to close on the fabric and can't really think of a way I would wear it.
I thought it would be a really good base for other things and good for the cold (so far I think I'm right). The othet fabrics are a mix of old (mostly 5+ years) fast fashion and thrifted clothes, that are either broken or I can't really see myself wearing for multiple reasons.
Next steps are gonna be to get my at least 100+ safety pins back by sewing everything together by hand. I'm also gonna figure out something more for the second panel probably lace in some way.

Between Cait Corrain and James Somerton, I’m becoming really fucking sick of people using neurodiversity and mental health struggles as excuses to do shitty things.
Autism didn’t make you racist and adhd didn’t make you plagiarize.
You’re just a shitty person.
