so my school has writers week every year where students and teachers (also famous poets and authors) share their writing. a lot of them are funny and inspirational and it makes me so happy that students get to watch and see different perspectives...

christmas season in st5 and theyre having a christmas party clinging to a sense of normalcy and blue christmas is playing while will looks longingly at mike across the room who is conversation with their friends but catches will looking and smiles but then will turns away shy and mike keeps looking at him as the song ends *cue mike contemplation/determination face* next scene is him sidling up to will later while he stands by himself to recharge while looking out the window at the snow (/spores lmao) in a dark room only lit up by the rainbow christmas tree lights and mike's all teasy and on the tipping edge of flirty making will pleasantly surprised and flustered, mike happy to have caught will alone and we can hear christmas music and everyone else talking and laughing in the next room

thinking about the sort of haunted kinship between nancy and will. they always come out the most maladjusted in the group and only ever remember how to survive. they lost something. they grew up too fast. parts of them seem to have been lost to the upside down

nancy burns will with a hot poker and really, it shows what the upside down has done to both of them because it only happens because will is clawing his way through the horrors once more and nancy has sharpened herself enough to try and get it out of him violently

will clings to the tattered remains of his childhood and nancy burns the wreckage of her own

death breathes down both of their necks. they cant ever move on
