Wow that was FAST. Check out this YouTube ad I just got trying to hire scabs immediately.
The fact that they're advertising it as hourly pay is so telling that they're hoping to just hire random people off the street. They're trying to prey on desperate actors who don't know that $180/hr for a fucking GODZILLA movie is the hugest rip off anyone could possibly pull. No rights, royalties or residuals but hey at least you'll get paid fucking nothing!
A Series of Unfortunate Events is anarchist propaganda because all of the problems are caused by both capitalist bureaucracy and a weird insistence from everybody with power that “the rules,” no matter how silly, must be followed.

sorry, but kanye shouldn’t have to verbally confirm to everyone that “yes, i literally am a for-real nazi” for people to get the message.
it shouldn’t have been allowed to get this far in terms of public platforming. we knew he was a nazi. we didn’t need to give him constant platforming for two months in order for him to “explain himself”. when someone espouses antisemitic conspiracy, BHI extremist beliefs, and holocaust denial/revisionism, they are a nazi.
if kanye hadn’t literally labeled himself a nazi, there would still be millions of people arguing that he isn’t one— despite the fact that he believes almost every core tenet of modern nazism.
the only thing this platforming has succeeded in is spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories to a whole new audience (not to mention dragging nick fuentes and milo yiannopoulos back into the mainstream). the level of normalization and indifference towards these kinds of beliefs on public platforms is terrifying.
this is what happens when people are too scared to call a spade, a spade.
right now it’s almost halfway through 2023, and 2024 is an election year in the US. I have started to see a growing proliferation of posts suggesting that there is no difference between the republican and democratic parties–the exact same kind of posts I saw an awful lot of before the last major election here. I am unfollowing folks who post or reblog these sort of posts, as I consider these posts to be fascist propaganda framed as leftist discourse, designed to suppress anti-fascist votes and voters.
The tumblr meme trend of reblogging a post and adding "Investing on this when it's still at low notes" has reworked the popularity economy of the site by reminding people that leaving their mark on any given post - specifically in the form of reblogs to spread it to their followers and inflict more notes upon the hapless OP - is the only mechanism to spread information, art, or shitposts throughout the site. While it's currently only catching on for jokes and taunting dares of apollo's dodgeball of prophecy, if this behavior could carry over to original content, it could reverse the disheartening trend of enthusiastic creators sharing their work, only to receive quiet approval in the forms of likes and for the post to go dead within a few hours. Here's why we should start "investing" in small creators for tumblr clout. In this essay I will...
Just so we're all on the same page with the writer's strike.
If during the strike, it's announced about AI generated shows. We are not watching them. Not even out of curiosity. Let them fail every AI generated show they try make.
The human voice can not be replaced by AI. Don't let them try.
