Sinbad and Marina sail the seas together, but something's missing. Proteus has duties and should be used to being on his own by now. Some understandings take time.

Oh hey look! It's the first chapter of my entirely self indulgent Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas OT3 fic! Only took me 5 years to write this lol. But I'm pretty happy that it's done and I made it through, I gotta say.

like imagine if she didn't end up with Sinbad , she gets her own crew and just left like I really would've loved an ending like that. like you go girl u don't need a man. better than being a love interest to a main character that simply fell in love with u at first sight and was outright sexist. ( to be honest at first I was like hmm I guess hes just being like that to hide his feelings for you cause he liked u and didn't want to betray proteus but no that doesn't cut it he was still sexist and never apologized for it) also them being together never really made sense they only had a few nice moments.

hi guys(lol Im back after saying I was gonna start posting weeks ago heh sorry) as much as I love the movie Im gonna start posting things that bothered me alongside understanding as to why it didn't do so well in the box office cause cmon Im not gonna turn a blind eye on certain things.

Im not bashing the movie but just a fellow reminder its, ok to be critical of the things you like.

not gonna lie as of recently I started shipping marina and Sinbad because of a few Fics, before it was mainly just Sinbad and proteus.

I mostly started shipping them cause I liked a certain fic where they met as children and hung out and stuff (ill link it below), and to me that made so much sense cause they talked to each other and actually hung out as kids, like no love at first sight bullshit going on.

to be honest if Sinbad and Marinas relationship was done differently I would've shipped them years ago(I mainly like their relationship now cause its based of fics)hence if they met as kids and actually got to know each other.

To be honest in the movie I feel like she just simply loved the sea more.

I've been taking chances (I've been setting myself up for the fall)

I’ve also remembered (I think) that I was watching Inuyasha around this time and I remember liking Inuyasha and Kagome well enough when they weren’t yelling at each other. It’s been a looong time since I read or watched Inuyasha, but I think I remember being frustrated at the lack of obvious character growth and relationship development (not that I could actually put a name to that at the time).

Let me dig up some old fic ideas... uh... okay, every time I rewatch Dreamworks’ Sinbad movie, I am deeply tempted to write a post-canon Proteus/Sinbad/Marina fic in which King Proteus of Syracuse gets kidnapped and is promptly stolen from his kidnappers by pirates. And he’s just like, “Sinbad! Marina! It’s so great to see you again. Yes, Sinbad, I will graciously pretend that you only saved me for the ransom Syracuse will pay for my safe return. Now, please return me to my kingdom post-haste so I don’t have to keep smiling politely like I’m not secretly still deeply in love with both of you.” Ocean adventures with some goddess pulling the strings ensues (Aphrodite or Eris or both). 

Started thinking about Treasure Planet (and the cancelled sequel) again, and I went "Hmm. I wonder if they ever released an artbook for it? Animation concept art books are always so good to look at"

So I did some hunting and there is an artbook (copies sell for like $300 now) but I managed to... uh. Acquire a sorta low quality digital scan of it and BRO THERE'S LORE IN THIS???

If you follow me pls know that I apologize for calling proteus a cinnamon roll, I was gonna go to sleep one night and I remembered I posted something with him and I called him that and cringed so hard. I saw people doing it with their fav actors and characters so I was like “hmmm let me try” , even having it come out of my mouth doesn’t sound natural. I think humble or soft-hearted would best fit his character description lol and impulsive and secretly hot headed when pushed. ( I think they low-key hinted that in an actual canon description from dream works) you know what he could could’ve been snarky too for all we know if they’ve shown more of his character.

so I might have watched Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas to fulfill my daily dose of gay *sighs* I’d very much appreciate more of it
