So I found this video, and one of the theorist has a Treasure Planet art book that has some really cool details in it! 

1. Jim’s father’s name is Leland! Also, Jim mostly likely got his looks from his father ;)

2. Sarah and Leland were extremely young when they got married/had Jim

3. Leland was most likely a space marine, so he probably left because he was deployed.

Anyway, I highly recommend watching this video! It has a lot of detail that’s not in the movie, and it’s really interesting lore :D

All of you are always fighting over which enemies-to-lovers ship is the best but y’all never mention proteus and sinbad who are obviously the best enemies-to-lovers ship out there

He almost doesn't recognize himself when he starts to clean and check and busy himself, just so that he doesn't have to feel like doing nothing. There is something that keeps him moving. An itching for something more. But how can he tell Marina, when it must be that he's bored, that the thrills of the life as a pirate seem to be what's missing. She said she'd figure it out, but if Sinbad trusts in one thing more than her it's his talent for fucking a good thing up.

Sinbad and Marina sail the seas together, but something's missing. Proteus has duties and should be used to being on his own by now. Some understandings take time.

Oh hey look! It's the first chapter of my entirely self indulgent Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas OT3 fic! Only took me 5 years to write this lol. But I'm pretty happy that it's done and I made it through, I gotta say.

Tbh I don’t really want there to be a sequel after seeing what happened to spirit but if there is a second movie I hope he gets the himbo husband he deserves or at least is involved with more adventures with sinbad and marina cause I kinda hated how he didn’t have enough screen time. U can’t introduce him being a cool with a sword and not have him do more fights😭✨.

Proteus was done so dirty in that movie I wish there was a sequel where he gets another love interest or takes main part in the action

why do they always end up as blonde white women  😭

I find it absolutely disgusting that I don't see enough angst and fluff written about Jim and silvers FATHER AND SON dynamic (STAY AWAY WEIRDOS I TRIED LOOKING FOR CUTE FICS AND IMAGINES AND ALL THAT CAME UP WAS THESE TO BEING SHIPPED IM NOT HAVING IT ) so ill take it upon myself to do some writing .some of the writing will take place on the legacy or just take place at the academy ill make sure to include stuff when he gets promoted as captain and does captain things(basically just him having near death experiences and risking his own life for others and giving the crew a heart attack) umm do I smell more of Jims character development being written cause ummm yesssss. ohhhhh I'm also taking request. absolutely no smut.

ill make sure to include Kate and make them have a like best friend's relationship (to be fair I don't really see them dating to me the thought seems kinda forced and awkward) oh I'ma make her admiral cause yeah she's that queen. like I can see them having a friendly rivalry during the academy days but I don't wanna write it with them straight up hating each other I'm low-key tired of that trope why not “oh hey ur cool but I bet I can do this better than you”and them getting into trouble and have them seek out their own goals also helping each other accomplish that. 

also Jims mom doesn't get as much recognition that she deserves so ill write about her too and ill make sure to include Doppler and amile also the children oh yeah and b.e.n. 

also I'm a have a specific time line or age so there's no confusion when things take place while I'm writing these shorts.

on the legacy hes 15 (pretty sure he actually was 15)

when he's learning at the academy he's probs 17 (jims15 when he attends the acsemdy but I can imagine him learning their would span up to 2 to 3 years) and after those 3 years when he's 17 he”ll have to gain more on deck experience so he can be granted the captain position. (not exactly sure how it would've worked in the movie but aye fanficition)

and when hes like a captain hes like in his 20s , idk if what age Kate would have been in the sequel but pretty sure it would've ben close its either one year  older or younger.

also it doesn't always have to be angst too or piraty things it could just be Jim doing normal teen things with Kate , like them going out for new outfits or something and possibly riding down an escalator on a mini boat they found at a store in the mall (im mean if they even have a mall or something )

I'm establishing Kate and Jim have an inside joke between them  where they both actual dated for a while to see if they really liked each other that way, but the break up was mutual cause they only saw each other as friends, and when people see them messing around  with each other like they'll go “ahhh you guys are such a cute couple” and then Jim and kate both look at each other with fake disgust and be like “ewww thats my ex” and like they'll pretend to be on  dates at resturants to get couples discounts.

im also gonna be writing about Jims dad Leland and how they both meet while Jims on leave , he gets deployed to the same place where his dad is . I really like the theory that his dad was in the navy too cause honestly it's the most realistic one out there.

most of the angst will involve Jim dealing with trauma and I might as well make up a space war and him spiraling cause hes captain and doubts himself. but alas Kate and silver are their to keep him in check. ohhh IM ALSO GONNA BE ADDING IN A FEW OF MY TREASURE PLANET OCS TO SPICE UP THE FRENDSHIP DYNAMIC CAUSE I NEEDA SPACE SQUAD.

Worth The Wait

I’ve always wanted to write a little something like this, and Triad Verse Week was the perfect nudge to get me to to do it. So, here, have some Marina/Proteus/Sinbad happy ending stuff.

Inwardly sighing, Proteus pasted a polite smile across his face at the couple that had just asked him to dine with them later in the week. “I wouldn’t want to intrude on your romantic evening.” He told them politely, and watched the lady’s face fall as she caught the implied rejection in that. The man, however, wasn’t so quick on the uptake. Or perhaps he was just more persistent.

“You wouldn’t be intruding at all, my Lord.” He said, managing a good balance of earnest and flirtatious.

Proteus’s smile became a little less fixed, and a little more apologetically amused. “I’m afraid I most certainly would be.” He insisted gently. “I hope you find someone who makes you both very happy, but that someone is not me.”

The couple shared a look, but then they bowed and curtseyed to him, and left him alone. Proteus took the momentary break in having to mingle with the guests at his father’s party, and retreated to the balcony, where he could be alone with his thoughts. The fresh air cleared away the frustrations of the evening, and he found himself grinning fondly as he looked out over the bay, bracing his hands on the parapet. This time, unlike before, his attention wasn’t caught and held by the tower that held the Book of Peace, and it made him laugh to find his priorities so changed.
