Bad slugcat idea ft. my brother's dumbass

Tw: Mention of self-harm

Basically if Sliver made Saint, some other iterator discovered this and they were so anti-sliver they made an entire organism just to fuck over her plans and it's entire campaign is just trying to kill Saint over and over and stop them from doing anything.

Saint is mentally strong but physically a lightweight, this is the opposite because it's beefier than possibly imaginable but dumber than a box of boxes.

Normally a forced carnivore, can't eat plants at all (think Saint but reversed).

10 total, needs 8 and can hold 2 over

Anyway it's abilities are tied to it's karma level like Saint, however, it's not just 'oh stuff at 10' nah you get stuff every level

1 - Mauling (Kinda always have this one)

2 - Spawn with a fixed sluppie at the cycle's beginning. Respawns in the shelter when it dies. Doesn't spawn if your karma goes below 2.

3 - Global reputation boost with all creatures. (+30)

4 - Can now eat plants for full food.

5 - Upon the first lethal hit, instead you give an Arti-like explosion and don't die.

6 - Increased maul damage.

7 - Spawn with two fixed sluppies that respawn and don't spawn if your karma goes below 7.

8 - Even more global reputation. (+50) It can no longer go below 30.

9 - Items can now be mealed for even more food, and you gain an additional two pips to hold over. (12 total, need 8 and can hold 4 over)

10 - The arti explosion now sounds like ascension and instantly kills creatures caught in the blast. Forces a lineage if possible. (Bc funny)

Takes place during Saint, so snow is a thing, and you just keep finding this small green fluffball at various points and try to kill it.

1st time is an echo (Idk which one), entire point is you can't bring items in there with you and there's one spear (Saint's holding it). Goal is to get the spear and hit Saint with it, which is hard because it keeps fleeing. Failing the encounter (after a set time Saint escapes) gives a dream of the scug being angry at both itself and Saint, while succeeding gives a different dream of them standing triumphantly over the body.

2nd time is at Pebbles, after Saint hit karma 10. Fight is more of a climb to the top, where you're chasing Saint upwards as they try to ascend you and keep running. When you reach the top, Saint has nowhere to go (and runs out of ascension juice), any kind of damage over 1 triggers the end of the fight. You cannot leave until you do something, but the cycle still progresses.

3rd time is in Rubicon (yep we're doing this again), actually in the Void Sea when Saint is going to ascend the worm. It's more of an actual fight with attacks, dodging, dealing with both water physics sometimes and normal ground other times, phases, etc (my brother doesn't care this is lore contradictory, we're making a stupid scug here. he likes to fight if you couldn't tell). Only way to do damage is by mauling saint, which you need to do 3 times to end the fight.

Upon the third maul, and a slight pause, a loud ascension sound plays reminiscent of a death as this slugcat. Both Saint and you glow yellow before the game fades to the ending sequence.

Said ending sequence is images of you grabbing Saint for the last maul, before realizing you can royally screw both of you over. Non descriptively the slugcat injuries itself, provoking the volatile nature in it to cause the ascension boom, ascending both of you. (You become dissolved, Saint ascends). Then the void worm stares into the empty void, not caring where the fighting sluggies went.

Menu screen after the campaign would just show both this one and Saint in two different areas, resting as they're both just reset to the beginning all over again.

by the way i got a new mouse so. this is no longer an issue. yay to me

my mouse is broken so ive had to navigate my computer with the fucking tab key.

FLATLAND OCS YAYYY!:

so the first one is Marley, or M. Cube if you wanna call her that. The second one is Lyn, or L. Line.

I have yet to talk about these guys all that much, but the whole gist of their story is that Marley talks to Lyn about the third dimension.

To go more in depth: Their story takes place way in the past, long before the events of canon Flatland. Lyn is just your average line, though people don't really seem to look at her as "average" because she doesn't know how to talk to people, and also she's an absolute bitch. Yeahhh Lyn kind of just... doesn't like anyone in general... She's also a girlkisser btw lol, so's Marley.

But anyway, while Lyn is just living her life minding her business, Marley pretty much shows up out of nowhere to teach Lyn about the the wonderful fantastic world of Spaceland, yayyy. Naturally, Lyn is kind of skeptical and is her usual bitchy-self, but since she's always kind of questioned if everything she was ever told was right, Marley is able to get her to believe that there is in fact a third dimension relatively easily. She never directly shows Lyn the third dimension, though, mostly because she doesn't have the technology to do so (because if she tried to lift Lyn out of Flatland with her bare hands, she would die lol.) But with enough explaining and convincing, Lyn is taught about the third dimension, which is great for her.

So anyway, after that, Marley just leaves immediately which, naturally, Lyn is pretty devastated about (imagine if you were visited by a higher being and told about some awesome other world and then it just leaves.) She tries to keep this knowledge to herself for a few days, because she's already bad enough at conveying any info at all, but after a while she can't take it anymore and finally tries to tell someone. Which eventually leads to her being hunted down and executed, pretty much.

Oh, but thats not the end of the story!

This is 16-cell, A.K.A E. Hexadecachoron or Edgar. A being from the fourth dimension, or as I like to sometimes call it, Angleland.

So anyway, after a while, Marley goes to check on Lyn only to find that she's, y'know, fucking dead. So this is genuinely heartbreaking for Marley, because she had gotten attached to Lyn, then found out she's dead? Yeah. Sad. But before Marley can be all depressed about it, she's visited by 16-cell, the 4D guy. 16-cell tells Marley that he's here to teach her about the fourth dimension, much like Marley had come to teach Lyn about the third. Only this time, he actually shows her the fourth dimension. So after a while, while Marley is in Angleland, 16-cell tells her that he knows about Lyn, and says that Marley could see her again (because the fourth dimension is kind of time, kind of a spacial dimension, its sorta complicated...) to which, obviously, Marley agrees to do. So they travel through time, back to when Lyn was still alive, and 16-cell actually shows her the third—and fourth!—dimension. But anyway, Lyn and Marley reunite, yuri, the end. (For now, until I add more details to their story... thats just what I have right now...)

Sorry, just wanted to rant about them! I love my silly shape gals... Also maybe if you know their story you'll be able to make more silly drawings, so. That's sorta what I was going for.

rain world fandom allow me to tell you about a dream i had. (under the read more cause its LONG)

so in the dream, i was on steam (the software, cause thats what i have rain world on) and i guess i had somehow heard of this thing that you could only find while playing artificer? so thats why i was on steam, to go play rain world and find it for myself.

but anyway, i got to playing as the artificer and i ended up in this weird region... it had the same coloring as sky islands but it was made up of these like, floating caves? there were huge chunks of land that had holes that burrowed down and branched off to other paths in the land, but always ultimately went all the way through the chunk of land they originated from so that they were all split down the middle. the "cavelands" were all stacked on top of one another so you could go through one and land on another. the only creature i remember being there was a single vulture... which i had attacked.

this was, apparently, where i was supposed to be, though.

i was supposed to go to the very bottom right corner of the map to find it, so i did (although that was a bit of a grueling task). once i got to the edge of the map i met this pitch-black slugcat with no eyes (or maybe their eyes were the same color as their body?), and i dont mean like watcher black, i mean like PITCH BLACK. lets call them "The Void" for the sake of convenience, and because they didnt have a name, that i can recall anyway. but anyway, the void said something to me, but i dont remember what, and i followed them into this hidden spot in the wall. in the spot, there was a room split into two sections: the first half, where we entered, which was empty; and the second half, blocked by a wall. void opened the wall, since there was a door, which revealed a little compartment full of coals that were burning. they called it "The Furnace." but anyway, me and void went into the furnace, and i found that we didnt get hurt by it. i, in the dream, chalked this up to artificer having explosion-resistant abilities so obviously shes resistant to other forms of heat too. didnt have an explanation for why void didnt get hurt, though; as far as i knew, they were a new slugcat and i knew nothing about them.

anyway, void goes through a tunnel in the furnace, and i follow them. i follow them to an empty room, but we dont spend much time there since theres nothing to do, and theres another tunnel on the other end of the room so we go through there, and in there we find another room with, on one end, a pile of six slugpups, every one of them a similar color to watcher but with yellow eyes. they were all alive, and they were smaller and thinner than a regular slugpup. void tells me that i can do whatever i want with the slugpups; either for company or for food, or whatever else. i dont remember what i did with the slugpups, but i think i kept two? i saw another tunnel in the room that led even deeper, but we never went through it, which makes me think the furnace might be a kind of subregion of this strange region i was in.

but anyway, i go back up, leaving void behind, with my two slugpups. nothing else really happened after that; i just woke up after leaving.

any ideas what any of this means, rain world fandom? should i try and turn this into an actual story?
