The explanation is that they were played by the same actress. Beyond that, I don't think Aziraphale and Crowley pay too much attention to human faces.

Sometimes I look at really pretty art and think “I want to use this in a story”.

“We need to live in a society that welcomes and accepts disabled people!” cannot coexist with “Parents should get to abort their babies if they find out the baby is going to be disabled!” You cannot argue that we need to treat disabled people better while under the same breath advocating for the murder of disabled people because of the “burden” they place on their families. Any society that accepts disability as an inherent reason for someone to not deserve life is not a society that values the disabled as human beings.
