Unfortunate That The United States Has Been Very Successful At Controlling Narratives Around Word War

unfortunate that the united states has been very successful at controlling narratives around word war 2 and positioning itself as the polar opposite of nazism and the main force fighting fascism when america was complicit in the holocaust. not only did american press report positively about hitler and the nazi party up until the end of the 30′s, some publications cooperated with nazi germany, american companies had investments and connections to nazi germany that they maintained until american involvement in the war, and companies like ibm in particular gave nazis the technology necessary to make the holocaust possible in the first place. some company owners themselves had nazi sympathies like henry ford and others just saw it as a business opportunity. the us denied entry to european jewish refugees and deported jewish refugees back to germany, many senators and other government officials during the 1930s openly supported nazism and worked to prevent the us from taking a side in ww2, and during the 30s large pro nazi rallies were held across the us. american eugenics movement, american race laws and american genocide set the model for the holocaust and there shouldnt be any discussion of nazism and the holocaust without also discussing the extent of american complicity in it.

anyways heres some material on it

I like the shows about women going through gradual breakdowns because I feel like it maps out the course of my own gradual breakdown. It’s uncomfortable but I feel like my hands being held through this

Chapter 32 (expected 27-05-2022)

Where the sole survivor of the Asha race, seeks revenge to the dragon who burned her home to the ground. When coming in contact with the old pilgrim, Gandalf the Grey, she gets thrown into the company of thirteen dwarves and a rather uncomfortable hobbit. While culture clashes against each other harshly, a young dwarf can't help but feel gravitated towards the strange woman. She hates his uncle with her guts, and he knows, yet he cannot seem to escape his eyes from observing her from afar, knowing she was his one the moment she set foot into the wild.

Or

Where the Durin siblings have to stop a stranger and their uncle from committing homicide.

Eretria gave Amberle a letterman jacket which I realize has zero significance to them and she literally just picked it up but it stil amuses me greatly. They’re going steady now i don’t make the rules.

Just so we’re all clear on where I stand: Black lives matter, trans women are women, trans men are men, nonbinary people are beautiful, asexual/aromantic folks have a place in the LGBTQ community, Queer is not a dirty word, and being “anti fascist” is a moral position, not a political one.

people always say "skins was so unrealistic! no teenager actually lives like effy and her gang!"

like idk what your college experience was like but I've been to college twice, once when I was 16, dropped out when I was 17, then again when I was 19. my college experience was exactly like them. when you come from a low income area and the education system is a bit shit, it's pretty much like how it's portrayed in skins. I smoked weed every day. I took MDMA. I drank vodka in the back of my english class. I had sex on college premises. I skipped classes and the teachers rarely followed it up because we were treated like adults. I partied all night. the shop up the road from college sold to underage students because the guy who owned it knew that his biggest source of income was students. we had a tight knit friend group that fell apart pretty easily. everyone in my group was mentally ill. the teachers didnt give a shit.

the reason I've always loved skins is because it's gritty and real. it's how a lot of us live. if you're a pretty wealthy middle class kid, you probably didn't live like them, but the kids in skins were pretty much my friend group.

i love skins because its realistic to how I lived.
