not me reblogging this so i can take my own advice, kind of in a quarantine slump right now and online lesson isn’t the best - yesterday was literally the last day of online school so i’m planning to use the holiday as time to catch up and submit work that i’ve missed. wish me luck!
bruh, do your work to *the best of your ability* and then enjoy your break, we don’t like slackers who do everything last minute (remember to take breaks inbetween short periods of working)
Sun 10 July 2022, 3pm the alliteration for the title came so smoothly its silly. this isn't a monthly recap but i just felt like dumping so here i am. i just read a short story called The Girl He Left Behind (10/10 would recommend) and am ugly crying. Induction Week came and went a lot quicker then I thought it would. overall, pretty good! i love all my subjects and the people in all 3 of my classes are great! there was some ugly stuff that reared its head right towards the end but i'm trying my best to pay it no mind. so it's been officially decided on fine art, media and sociology! i'm just waiting on gcse results, despite definitely not getting the grades i wanted in sociology due to a spontaneous breakdown during the second exam from stress, but on the very positive side i'm pretty sure i still passed which is all you really need to study it at a level. i'm doing two more creative subjects and one pretty hard essay based subject to even out, which i think is a pretty good mix! for transition work over the summer i've got a personal sketchbook to fill for fine art, a presentation to make about myself for media and then some tasks that are yet to be set for sociology. one of the themes for the sketchbook is films/tv which i'm super stoked for - i think i'll post about the sketchbook and media presentation a lot on here as i make it and the final result aswell. that's all for now! the alliteration came so naturally to me i didn't even realise. soooo september has been something. starting sixth form has been striking to say the least. i thought i'd instantly take to my subjects but surprisingly i haven't. they've been engaging and i've definitely enjoyed media the most, i'm so stoked for when we actually get to make our own projects and such later on in the school year. i have somehow already managed to lose my fine art folder but it's just experimental work so it's whatever. why is september like january? speaking of september its officially autumn yayayayayayay. i can't wait to buy some jumpers and such to go with the brown and beige flares i bought!! i'm doing my best to channel my dark academia phase and romanticise school so i'll do better! oh and my math gcse was sent off for a remark - i was only two marks off of a 7 (A) so i'll tell you how that turns out when i hear back! i gtg catch up with sociology work, i'm sorry if this post was a bit bland but there's not a lot to talk about from this month. until next time! ~Amimi posting this a bit late because i forgot to queue this but oh well.
i haven’t posted since new years. god i’ve been away a long time. school has really kept me busy recently. especially since i’ve started my art exam for gcses which has been excruciating due to being behind on coursework but i hope to do well! studyblr posts and such coming soon!
rediscovering my love of french and wanting to pick it up again, i used to hate it in school but now i realise how the structure of school and exams just ironically kills of the feeling of wanting to learn. please interact and tell me your fav methods of learning languages? or just your experiences with learning french in general?

i just wanna throw it out there that louis partridge would be amazing as darlington if there was ever a movie or series. I NEED HIM AS DARLINGTON. like...
tell me he isn't him.
how did i end up non stop smiling over stupid crushing quotes on pinterest and ended up with a private board, with over a hundred pins and almost every single one mentions something about his eyes or laugh or smile.
another important thing to remember is 1) u can pick up any hobby at any point in ur life and get outstandingly good at it & 2) the project u've been working on & aren't pleased w the current outcome so far will not be your last. u will draw/crochet/paint/sculpt/write another piece, and another, and you will have many chances to be fully content w your craft. so you should cherish the joy of making art instead of worrying ab the results & think ab how lovely it is that we're all vessels for artistry and we can share the divine act of creation!!!!!
curling up in the corner of a public library and pretending you live there
taking pictures of the ruins of your local cathedral because you need those aesthetic pictures for your blog
staring longingly at the tweed jacket you’ll never afford in the shop window
wearing the same red turtleneck (the only one you happen to own) in every outfit you can in a hundred different ways
staring longingly at the tweed jacket in the shop window
impulsively buying the tweed jacket and putting yourself in financial debt for the sake of aesthetic (totally worth it)
