i'm sick of seeing nesta stans talk about us invalidating her trauma.

i can't name one person who refuses to acknowledge that.

yes she was groomed. yes she was SAd.

but here's the thing:

that doesn't permit her to be abusive.

sjm is peddling this dangerous narrative that not only do victims become abusers, but that it's justified.

refusing to have nesta acknowledge her behaviour means saying it's okay. it doesn't matter if it's explicitly excused or not. not having her confront the abuse she dolled out and explaining it with "oh well she was abused." is excusing it.

sjm destroyed so much of her credibility when she published this horribly written fuckfest of a book filled with retcons about the archerons before and after the cabin and essentially hand waved away feyre's trauma at the hands of her sister because she faced abuse.

Feyre was really hated because she didn’t want to starve..she’s blamed for “enabling” her father into not doing anything because him sitting on his ass for years wasn’t clear enough for her useless family, because she didn’t want to see everyone die and was psychologically and emotionally abused for it and she got no apology or closure for it….

yes I love it all the books, characters but the constant disagreements by stans, antis makes it a little difficult but I follow some lovely people and they remind me why I loved it here in the first place.

I know some people don't get it but its okay to hate on movies songs novels but what is not okay is to belittle others who like them. you hate somethings no one is stoping you but going on social platforms and telling people who like it that they are wrong and what kind of monsters they are to like it and how insensitive they are to some communities because of their choices is unacceptable. Because some of those fans belong to those communities and reading such accusations they start to doubt themselves and start hating something they love and this is in no way okay and is nothing else but bullying.
